... and so I'm bringing you four days of celebrations in Playmoland. Today is King Athelstan's birthday parade. The route has been lined with bunting.

Brilliant as always!

CharSiu · 03/06/2022 14:53

Thank you, that’s so cute

LIZS · 03/06/2022 15:07

Fab, rather more colourful than St Paul's

SoMuchToBits · 03/06/2022 15:17

Thank you, although Playmoland didn't have a robed choir or a fab band or all those Beefeaters...

Your creativity more than compensates!

SoMuchToBits · 03/06/2022 15:27

Thank you! I'm very pleased I bought those fanfare trumpets for the October 2018 wedding. They came in very handy for today's scenes!

Hurrah for Lady Marden Wye. I used to commute to London on that line, from the next station to Marden!

SoMuchToBits · 03/06/2022 16:15

Staplehurst or Headcorn? I have Playmo knights with both those names! Grin

FuzzyPuffling · 03/06/2022 16:22

Staplehurst.
Please can Sir Staplehurst feature soon?!

SoMuchToBits · 03/06/2022 16:25

I'll have to find somewhere to use Sir Staplehurst Lydd! Sir Headcorn Blean was present in the Birthday Parade (in the infantry). Grin

Maybe he could run the bar at the Platinum Concert!

SoMuchToBits · 03/06/2022 16:42

Hmm, I hadn't thought of a bar for the concert... Probably a bit late for that now!

But here is Sir Staplehurts Lydd.

Oh this is glorious! Thanks so much OP! Your magnificent lockdown thread kept me entertained in 2020 when I was shielding for months and my dad died. Your threads are so wholesome and happy. DH asked just yesterday “is there a Jubilee playmo thread by any chance?” Grin

SoMuchToBits · 03/06/2022 19:29

Thank you @CatkinToadflax , it means a lot when people post their comments and their relatives have enquired about the possibility of Playmo threads! Smile

Thank you also to everyone else who has commented. Sorry I haven't had time to reply to everyone individually, but all your comments are most welcome and have made all the work of producing the scenes so worthwhile! Smile

I love the Playmo threads, this one is probably my favourite. So, so clever. Thank you!

SoMuchToBits · 03/06/2022 20:18

Thank you! I do spend hours planning this stuff, but that's all part of the fun! Smile

Love the name of the Prime minister 😂

NiqueNique · 03/06/2022 20:51

@SpringCalling thats not just his name! He actually was a foreman before he was elected Prime Minister. He has proved his excellent leadership skills and all-round capabilities in all sorts of situations over the years. I expect he’s doing a grand job of running things in Playmoland. Smile

NiqueNique · 03/06/2022 20:51

*that’s

SoMuchToBits · 03/06/2022 23:16

Thank you @NiqueNique yes, Norman was originally elected (by MN people) way back in 2010. He has continued to work hard for Playmoland, and unlike some PMs is actually an honest person!
