My child has a badge that sees ghosts?

PlomBear · 18/01/2020 10:22

Lighthearted!

DS 4, has a badge he calls “birdie friend.” I may post a photo later! It’s a badge with a bird on.

Birdie Friend seems to have the gift of the “sight!” “Birdie Friend says Bob and Rose are here mummy, they like to have tea with us. Bob and Rose are DH’s grandparents who died many years ago.

“Birdie Friend says the men who lived upstairs looked like you mummy when their faces burned off.” We used to live in a former military hospital and I had a sheet mash on my face! The ward upstairs had indeed been a burns/plastics ward!

“Mummy, Birdie Friend says the end is coming soon.”

😂😱😨

I clicked the link for the nightclub story and scrolled through the whole thread but couldn't find it- wooooo! I really wanted to read it as well damnit!

ConfusedButAngry · 21/01/2020 10:08

Reading through OPs other posts it sounds like she doesn't actually have a child - so this was a fun story.

FlaviaAlbia · 21/01/2020 10:10

I don't know, I've seen plenty of adults push idiotic superstitious onto children to believe it's credible that OP has indulged her DS in this when he just has sharp ears and a desire for attention.

The bit I'm most skeptical about is that even if she was daft enough to let him take the badge to nursery that the staff didn't shut it down quickly and confiscate the badge. Admittedly my DS's nursery teacher was old school but she'd have come down on that sort of thing like a ton of bricks.

Howmanysleepsnow · 21/01/2020 10:25

@incognitomum any detail on colour/ type?

PlushPlush · 21/01/2020 10:31

Haha, yeah. Her other recent posts are about her OH having cold feet about starting a family

Sagradafamiliar · 21/01/2020 10:45

Just read the night club story. I like that woods/petsitting on the small holding story as well.
But the most shit ya pants scary one was where the MNer describes the ghost of a man who used to hide so he could jump out at her to make her jump. She said one day she went out of her front door and came through the back door to see him hiding and looking towards to front door expectantly, waiting to for her so he could try and scare her again. Fuck!

Sagradafamiliar · 21/01/2020 10:46

Towards the*

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 21/01/2020 11:01

oooh @Sagradafamiliar I would LOVE a prankster ghost! I've never seen that MN tale on here. The puppy in the woods is a goody though, I try never to think about that if I am out in the dark!

I love jumping out on dh, for a retired roughty-toughty ex copper he scares easy! It's not good for me though as I end up breathless with laughing as he is so outraged :o :o

ilovenaps · 21/01/2020 11:01

Where on the thread is the night club story?? I can't seem to find it

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 21/01/2020 11:23

The Nightclub story is at
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/the_unexplained/2161707-Give-us-your-eerie-stories?pg=2
and contains the words "a young man with blond hair", so you can search for it.

ilovenaps · 21/01/2020 11:38

Asking thank you! How creepy

Dowser · 21/01/2020 11:44

How many sleeps
I’ve had chance to dowse this morning and I got a very surprising answer so I passed the photo to my husband and he got the same, si I’ve sent the photo to my dear friend who I won’t name on here because the last time I did I got attacked for touting for business for him.
When honestly he has more business than he can handle.

He does this professionally and has written a couple of books on house healing so if he’s not too busy I’m sure he will clarify.

Don’t worry it really is nothing scary or sinister...I really wouldn’t scare anyone like that.
I need to catch up on the rest of the thread

Dowser · 21/01/2020 11:52

Ultra blue

My own Dad died of a heart attack, when I got to his house the paramedics were working on him, there was absolutely no response, hadn't been anything from the time he collapsed. They gestured to me to get my Mom to the hospital asap but they didn't think he would make it. As they carried him downstairs I was in the hallway, he opened his eyes, took a look around the house and looked at me smiled then closed his eyes again. He died before getting to the hospital which was less than 10 minutes away.

My dad died of a heart attack. He’d been gone 20 mins before the paramedics got to him and it was ages before they restarted his heart
So basically he was in a vegetative coma for 8 weeks before he died although he was off life support and just in a side ward

I took mum to visit him, she went every day. She was sat beside him I was nearer the foot of his bed, he opened his eyes for the first time turned to her and smiled.

He adored my mum. He died shortly after

Howmanysleepsnow · 21/01/2020 11:53

@Dowser Thank you! I appreciate all the effort. I did get the feeling I could trust your judgment/ senses, hence why I asked. When your friend gets back to you please could you also let me know what you and DH thought (even if it differs a little). I’m really curious!

Boredbumhead · 21/01/2020 11:55

So a fake thread then?

PhilomenaChristmasPie · 21/01/2020 12:02

MaggieMagpie that's interesting, I wonder if my DS with ADHD has seen any? He certainly believes in them.

Scatterlit · 21/01/2020 12:04

So a fake thread then?

No, the OP's small son was really relaying news of the end of the world via a possessed badge called Birdie Friend. Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 21/01/2020 12:07

The OP certainly mentions a son in other threads.

Overnight angel

“I do an aura and house cleanse every night.
I did a house smudge last night..and had the best sleep in ages”
What do these involve??
Asking for a friend ... 😬

When I’m settling down to sleep I visualise an ultrafine mesh of golden and silver light and love held by two angels..you can swap them around but I appear to have chosen michael for protection and Raguel for communication

I live in a semi detached bungalow so I always include her and her house as well..I do this wherever I’m staying. If away from home, I will also use my pendulum to clear the room and the bed of any negative bed patterns. We leave an energy footprint wherever we go, there might have been an argument in the room, someone may have been ill someone may have died...I don’t want to pick up any negative energies.
Sleep time is for the body to heal itself not to keep fighting off any negative energy or entities.

So, I visualise the mesh, I ask it to cleanse mine dh and neighbour s aura removing any negative energies or entities and to also cleanse any of our subtle bodies as well as our physical bodies.
I ask to cleanse anything new that has come into the house that day
Be it clothing, food etc
When the work is done I ask for the mesh/ net to be sealed up tight and taken to the light to be appropriately dealt with
I think ask that peace, love balance and harmony be restored

It’s very important to get your home atmosphere as calm and peaceful as possible. It puts my mind in a good place for sleep.. to know al the days stresses are removed.

I often dowse myself and my home for negative energies or entities and and am very fortunate to find none.
Yet before I started on this work there were 5 lost souls here.
Two were here permanently and three flitted between here and the end bungalow where my daughter lived.
Not surprisingly one was me exh. He’d gravitated here. He hadn’t gone to the light. He had lived here for 30 years so it wasn’t too surprising. He would be very guilty about what he did and the upset he caused at the end of the marriage so he’d remained earthbound.

We did a soul cleansing and the house definitely felt lighter with them gone.

I don’t see or hear anything. I’m not gifted in any way like that. I can just dowse.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 21/01/2020 12:22

If I were investigating it there are a lot of questions I would ask; but this is a thread to enjoy shudders down the spine, so I shan't pour cold water.

There are plenty of things outside the usual experience, anyhow; just not usually malignant ghosts, which are nearly always artificial elementals anyway. I am not saying that there is no such thing as the malignant ghost of an individual human being I have never had to deal with one, but I'm sure they must exist somewhere; it's just that things which appear to to be so generally have a different reason than malignancy for what has frightened those who encounter them, such as confusion or an entirely reasonable objection to waking up in your chair and finding a stranger in your house thinking that they live there if that happened to me, and I hadn't noticed I had died, I would try to frighten them away as well!

People want explanations for things they don't understand; that's a fact, just as seeing faces in abstract drawings is a thing people do. Sometimes the explanation they find for it is "it was a ghost/the fortune teller said it would happen/it was a UFO" like a crop circle still being "an alien artefact" even after the people who made it produce the video of them making it, or Jenny Randles says "I don't think this one was a UFO" and the American Forces several years later say "erm, no, you're right, actually that was one of our top secret test aircraft" she called them right in almost every case. (Has anyone else noticed that there are far fewer little green men talking to the slightly confused on dark country lanes these days, now that the first response to any such story is "did you catch them on your mobile?")

Dowser · 21/01/2020 12:29

Will do how many sleeps.. I’m also going on one of his earth energy courses at the end of April at Avebury so I’m really looking forward to that.
I’ve only ever driven through the stones so I’m excited to actually spend some time there.

He and many of the other Dowsers/ earth energy workers feel that there isn’t much positive energy left at stonehenge. They reckon it’s been mucked about too much now.

I’m going to castlerigg next month..I love it there. I laid out my pendulum s on the altar stone for extra energy and cleansing and my all time favourite that travels everywhere with me was dipped in the waters of the chalice well at Glastonbury.

Thats a funny place.ive heard people say they cannot go there or if they do they don’t like the energy...
I love it..I feel nothing sinister at all.
I’m starting to think I’m just very well protected.

I know if I lived there I’d be a lot more into this stuff than I already am ...what’s really surprising is how much my down to earth , normally level husband is.

Dowser · 21/01/2020 12:35

We had a dowsing day at the druids temple at ilton. It was surprising how many couldn’t enter the stones.
A very good Dowser from east anglia had come up for the day and he said there was a really horrible negative energy line that was nailed down by two key stones and warned people not to interact with it.

It’s a stunning setting. Used for weddings but we think other things may have gone on there, in the past or maybe even now..it’s a funny thing that the local squire wanted built..
Somehow the story doesn’t stand up.

Tredegar house..another odd place...aleister Crowley was a frequent visitor.

Howmanysleepsnow · 21/01/2020 12:48

@Dowser That’s interesting about the mesh you visualise. I used to see something similar but with a totem pole running through as a child when in bed (suffered from insomnia and worries and it calmed me and made me feel safe). I always felt it was a sign my guardian angel was there. I stopped seeing it aged around 11/12 but can visualise it (rather than it just appear) still if I need to for me or my children.

HannaYeah · 21/01/2020 12:54

Can we have all the posts deleted back to the one where BF goes to nursery and let OP try again?

I was really enjoying this. But OP you have to wait a few days before giving a really good, crazy update. Otherwise people can tell...

PhilomenaChristmasPie · 21/01/2020 13:10

CoffeeWithMyOxygen quite a lot of people get really uncomfortable feelings from Glastonbury.
