My child has a badge that sees ghosts?

Lighthearted!

DS 4, has a badge he calls “birdie friend.” I may post a photo later! It’s a badge with a bird on.

Birdie Friend seems to have the gift of the “sight!” “Birdie Friend says Bob and Rose are here mummy, they like to have tea with us. Bob and Rose are DH’s grandparents who died many years ago.

“Birdie Friend says the men who lived upstairs looked like you mummy when their faces burned off.” We used to live in a former military hospital and I had a sheet mash on my face! The ward upstairs had indeed been a burns/plastics ward!

“Mummy, Birdie Friend says the end is coming soon.”

😂😱😨

Made the mistake of starting to watch The Prodigy ShockShockShock

Would you mind asking Birdie exactly when the end his coming, I don't want to waste time with household chores, and dieting, I'd much rather stuff my face with all the leftover Christmas cake and choccies😋

TessTackle · 19/01/2020 18:01

I’ve got the serious willies from this

dellacucina · 19/01/2020 18:04

@myohmywhatawonderfulday out of curiosity, was the little girl right???

langley0509 · 19/01/2020 18:05

I used to have a ghost. I wrapped my "dream belt" around the door for her to know it was ok to visit. My Mum and Dad heard her footsteps down the landing, than I would be tucked in like a hospital bed.

They asked me to describe her, the old lady over the road said it sounded like a lady who lived in our house years before....... she died in childbirth in my bedroom and her Husband worked at the same place as my Dad. She went when I turned 5.

Now the house is rented out and nobody stays more than 6 months at a time!

this thread is awesome!

Love this thread! Tbh it's because it's happening to someone else (sorry) 🤣
Coming from my background where pretty much all my up bringing has had some paranormal in it. I don't think it's the badge.
I'm no expert but I think it's your son and the badge is the outlet for him to be able to tell you these things.
I also think that if you get rid of the badge it will manifest into another object.

Loving all the stories and looking forward to hearing more about BF. I do wonder about the world end though🤔🤣

Following with fascination 😁

This thread is amazing. My teen DD has said she can see ghosts since she was about 2 or 3, I never really took her seriously when she was younger but she still insists now that she sees them (she’s not scared of them at all) and will point them out regularly (in a completely matter-of-fact way.)
Even more oddly (or maybe coincidence) she has been diagnosed with ADHD, and a friend’s son who has the same diagnosis also sees ghosts.......

phlebasconsidered · 19/01/2020 18:22

My ds used to talk about the man in the dress with bees and spades in his room. He was about2 - 3. He used to blah away to the bee man of an evening.

Before we moved my dh got into metal detecting and we found out that a monastery was in the field next to us from medieval times, lost in the reformation. Our house was built on the land old plans showed the gardens to be.

Wilkolampshade · 19/01/2020 18:33

Kill it. Kill it with fire and sticks.

This thread is fascinating! That is a lovely account

BamboozledandBefuddled · 19/01/2020 18:40

I like the idea of a ghostly monk pottering about with his bees Smile

Longwhiskers14 · 19/01/2020 18:40

OP, have you tried asking Birdie questions that only you know the answer to? For example, did you ever break a bone as a child, or had an accident, or something exciting happen? Something that Rose and Bob would know??? You could ask Birdie a vague question then see what the answer is...

myohmywhatawonderfulday · 19/01/2020 18:41

@dellacucina - Yes she was. She told me I would marry the person I did marry (but we were not even going out at the time).

I have had three people thrust their predictions on to me - which is strange because I am a christian and try to actively avoid conscious involvement with spiritual things that are not connected to the light. So far two have come to be and I am open to the third...which includes having a third child when I am older.

Very little (excuse the term) 'woo' or spiritual is dark or evil.

iklboo · 19/01/2020 18:50

Sorry, posted too soon. I didn't mean to sound snotty. I was going to add 'quite a lot can be healing and helpful'.

phlebasconsidered · 19/01/2020 18:50

He doesn't remember it at all now he's grown to the sage old age of 10. He's shown no other signs of woo since, which kind of adds to it I think. I look back on it fondly - neither my dh or I ever saw or felt anything, we just assumed he was being imaginative. I thought it was cute at the time. He used to sit his sister next to him for bedtime stories and point out where the bee man was to her. He even said the Bee Man was smiling at "Peepo" once.
I am not a Woo person at all, but we all loved that house and felt happy there. We also had a very fruitful garden!

mouseville · 19/01/2020 18:50

My Grand daughter once sat in my house and said "Nanny, who is that man?" When I challenged her "What man?", she said "That man in the doorway", pointing to the door.

OP this is obviously a familiar spirit.
You need to take authority over it in the name of Jesus. Don't entertain it.

I'm such an idiot! I thought I'd started a thread! I will ask for it to be removed Grin

messolini9 · 19/01/2020 19:02

All the kids here are dressing like it’s the 90s. High waisted baggy jeans, bodies, open shirts.

@FlamingoAndJohn ... are you sure that's a retro fashion choice, or ...

Anothernamechange2020 · 19/01/2020 19:02

@Butterer I think the OP has enough on their plate! Grin
