I am 50% of the way through chemo. (second time around)(different primary)

My DS (18) has just been diagnosed with depression I think me being diagnosed again was the tipping point.

Due to above I am having to delegate Christmas, it will get done, it did before just not my way.

DH retiring in three years, should be more than enough to live on, but at the moment I am worrying (Like I couldn't worry about that closer to the time) Hmm

Sausage rolls, my job, ditto mince pies.........if they don't happen my DH and my DS will suck it up. Just me worrying.

DS struggling in college and have to go to a meeting on Wednesday

So if some of the night shift would like to come and mind my ,worries whilst I attempt to sleep, it would be gratefully received.

Feel free to add your own, just writing that down has helped.

Me too - drifting in and out though. Weather warnings abound and so I may be dashing about.

May the gales carry your worries away long enough for you to sleep. Any stragglers will be squashed by my not inconsiderable rear. Smile

I’m here as well. Along with the cat.
Me and DD are having to spend the night in the living room as the business that we share a staircase with (we’re 4th floor) have had their 2 flights painted today (gloss) and it has stunk out the flat. We tried going to bed but both ended up with headaches because of the fumes. So here we are with all the windows open and the poor cat is very confused because he’s not tucked up in bed.

GenuineKlatchianPottery

Fingers crossed that the smell disappears soon so that you can get back to your comfy nests Flowers

TooGlamToGiveADamnn · 09/02/2020 01:12

If it’s okay, could someone watch over mine?
Husband at work until 4am, baby sleeping through but the wind keeps hammering on the window and waking me up as I’m feeling very anxious. Had a tough mental health week so been off work.
Feeling very stuck in a rut lately..

@TooGlamToGiveADamnn and @littlepopsxx let me lift your worries for tonight. I shall hold them carefully and shush them if they try to play up.

You just rest. Close your eyes. Breathe. Shhhh. There now.

HannaYeah · 09/02/2020 15:33

Can someone take my family worries today? I keep thinking I need to do something, but it’s not for me to do. And worrying won’t help.

NumbersStation · 09/02/2020 15:38

@HannaYeah

I’ve got you my lovely. For the rest of the shift and when I get home. They’ll be under my pillow when I zonk out. But they will be made to stop their chattering.

Rest easy.

I have this sorted flower x Flowers

HannaYeah · 09/02/2020 19:28

Thank you NumbersStation. It’s one of those issues that could really consume me and I need to just lay it down. I appreciate you.

WineGummyBear · 09/02/2020 19:38

TooGlam and HannaYeah I've got those.

TooGlam, hope you break out of your rut soon. You'll get there.

NumbersStation · 09/02/2020 19:48

Happy to help flower. Hopefully you can fill your mind with happier thoughts. It is good to lay things down and walk away. x

HannaYeah · 09/02/2020 23:31

Thanks @WineGummyBear

TooGlamToGiveADamnn · 10/02/2020 00:13

Thank you @WineGummyBear - me too.

Just very fed up of everything at the minute as we are considering moving more up north to buy a house but know there are so many steps before we get to that stage... it's a rut I am struggling to get out of. But we will get there. We are building a future for our little guy. That's the motivation.

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 10/02/2020 00:22

I’m here tonight ready to take those annoying worries off your hands.
Just throw them on the end of the bed there and I’ll take care of them while you sleep.

wapbapboo · 10/02/2020 00:29

@TooGlamToGiveADamnn Wish you a restful sleep away from your worries.

I'm laying down a few too. I'm leaving my job and wondering if I made the right choice. I also have an awkward situation to deal with next week.

NumbersStation · 10/02/2020 00:56

@wapbapboo

If you left then it was right at the time and it has set you off on your new path you are meant to take. I hope it works for you as well as you hope. Smile

As for your tricky situation? The way to that will come to you now that I’m sitting on your worries.

Deep breath, clear your mind and slip into peaceful slumber. I’ve got you.

Night night flower Flowers

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 11/02/2020 00:00

I hope everyone is warm and cosy while the weather is bad?
If you have any worries you want watching whilst you sleep pass them over here and I’ll keep a beady eye on them for you.

bettybattenburg · 11/02/2020 00:33

Cold here but I'm up late watching the 3d printer print some homework - which DD did but then takes 4 hours to print Shock

Had a shit day but feeling strangely calm about it now. Probably it'll be fine until I go to bed. Hand over your worries, I'll tuck a few up under the throw to keep warm(er)

NumbersStation · 11/02/2020 00:36

@bettybattenburg

Shove the remnants of your shit day over here. Hopefully you will manage to get a decent sleep Smile 💐

bettybattenburg · 11/02/2020 00:41

Thank you...at least I'll be shattered when I get to bed.
It's so cold - I normally don't wear socks but I've got two pairs on and I still can barely feel my toes.

NumbersStation · 11/02/2020 00:54

Tell me about it. It has turned proper bitter here. My cold feet are my own fault though. I nipped our to fill the bird feeders in bare feet like a plum. Blush. You’d think now I’m 50 odd I’d have more sense...

Sleep well flower. Smile

bettybattenburg · 11/02/2020 01:13

You’d think now I’m 50 odd I’d have more sense...

I'm 50 odd and I'm still waiting.....

I've just made old fashioned hot chocolate on the hob with dark chocolate, milk, cardamom and all spice. Still got cold feet but I don't care so much...still waiting for the printing to finish - it takes so long!

plominoagain · 11/02/2020 01:19

Well , if anyone has some worries they want babysitting, they're more than welcome to send them to me , who is currently sitting in my car just off the A1 waiting for the RAC to turn up as my lights have packed up . Have been told it may be some time Shock

billsmothers · 11/02/2020 03:04

Oh no. I hope you have blankets !

2018SoFarSoGreat · 11/02/2020 03:05

If one of you lovelies could take charge of my worries tight is be eternally grateful. Had a bit of a scare last night (started a thread about it!) and also waited all day for news of tests from good friend. She just called. No malignancy. Thank God. But I know I've worked myself up into a state so won't be able to sleep. It's my long day at work tomorrow. Yuck.
