I hope the literary TC will not object to being referred to as a thing.

Thank you for the picture of NDN's dog.

We had a cat that was on team can't be arsed, life for him was just one long, relaxing journey, he was so laid back he was virtually comatoseGrin. Have to say I rather envied him!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/07/2020 13:05

I've just managed to stroke the beast's belly without getting savaged Grin

You are honoured.

CassandraCross · 18/07/2020 13:25

That is truly a belly that has to be stroked, no savagingShock, he's reeling you in Grumpy.

Love the way his head/face are underneath the railings with the paw laconically through the gap!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 18/07/2020 13:25

Picture, or it didn't happen!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/07/2020 13:28

Picture, or it didn't happen!

Sadly I'm not clever or brave enough to take a photo one handed while in a potential war zone.

Oh well. The gratuitous belly shots kind of made up for it. TC seems to be pretending that he is, probbly as a miscarriage of justice, behind bars.

Supersimkin2 · 18/07/2020 15:20

The Golden Fur Belly of the Sainted One is not bestowed often - congrats Grumpy.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 19/07/2020 20:14

Another successful break in today...

Karl seemed faintly surprised.

Does he have a named food bowl at your house?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 19/07/2020 20:20

However TC then hissed at Karl so I suggested he leave.
He really didn't want to leave, so hissed at me instead, and then attacked my leg.

He only left when Sybil flew at him and chased him out (go Sybil 😽).

New plan. Invite him in, buy him a TC personalised bowl and fleece.

He’ll be contrary and flounce off.

nettie434 · 19/07/2020 21:08

Hope your leg survived the attack, Grumpy. I love the look in TC's eyes in the photo in which he is eating your cats' food. It says, 'Bother, is Karl going to stop me or not? I'd better keep an eye on him while eating as much as I can.'

Lorddenning1 · 19/07/2020 21:54

Well Iv now seem the lovable rogue in a new light, he looks vicious

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 19/07/2020 22:20

On the 20th April 2019 when I started the original TC thread I included these words in my opening post.
Once he's in it's a problem removing him because he growls, hisses and then attacks us (launches at our legs etc).

His M.O. hasn't changed Grin.

Supersimkin2 · 19/07/2020 22:28

Describing TC as a 'lovable rogue' is like calling Fred West 'a bit iffy'.

nettie434 · 19/07/2020 22:59

TC relies on his looks. He is more Alan Rickman as the dangerous villain. Or Cary Grant in Suspicion.
UncleShady · 20/07/2020 07:51

In that photo it looks rather like you were trying to nudge him out with your foot rather than you innocently walking past and him launching at you. Was he simply defending himself?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/07/2020 10:32

Was he simply defending himself?

No - he was defending his 'right' to break in, steal our poor undefended fluffies' food and most importantly his 'right' not to be disturbed while eating. I've never met another cat like him - I wonder if he's learnt resource guarding from the dogs?)

He's like a burglar who takes you to court because he tripped up in your house...

His behaviour is appalling when you want him to do something he doesn't want to do Grin.

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 20/07/2020 11:13

Is he like it with his owners?.

UncleShady · 20/07/2020 11:23

Oh Grumpy you still don't get it, do you Grin

he was defending his 'right' to break live in his house, steal our eat his own poor undefended fluffies' food and most importantly his 'right' not to be disturbed while eating

CassandraCross · 20/07/2020 11:54

Told you the allowing of the belly rub was just a ruse to reel you in and c'mon he let you rub the belly surely a bowl of food is a reasonable payment for such an honour!

One thought, is the cat food you serve superior to that served at his other residence?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 20/07/2020 12:01

I think he just doesn't get it. He knows he's welcome, he knows it's his house, it's just these irritating humans and other furry creatures who don't get it.

Sybil is just playing hard to get.

Are you talking about TC, or Grumpy?
