As we have not heard from Grumpy for a few days I am wondering if TC has eaten him, UncleShady.

I meant to post this a week or so ago but hot waylaid

Do cats like yellow (ish) cars

However utter confusion has reigned in the Grumpy household this morning.
Heard cats shouting at each other this morning. Went out to investigate and found Basil and Karl - however DW said she'd seen Lenny running off the drive.
Came back in and Lenny was inside the house.
Clearly I assumed that DW was hallucinating .

Half an hour later TC wa spotted chasing a black cat through our garden, followed by Lenny. Basil and Karl were both in at this point.
So there is new small black cat in the neighbourhood (indistinguishable from ours at a distance) and DW wants to know if we have to pay TC protection money?

So you are being hounded, once again, by a strange cat. The third, after TC and Poodle Tail... I'm beginning to think it might be you Grumpy

Instead of paying protection money you could just lay out the red carpet for him to enter your house.

In the interests of clear communication going forward:
TC refers to the one and only original stripey cat we know and love .
TC2 is the grey and white vicious sod who we suspect caused Karl's abscess of doom.
TC3 (although to be fair I don't know if he/she is a thug or not) will do as a moniker for the new black cat on the block.
We do seem to attract them...

To gain one TC may be regarded as a misfortune; to gain two looks like carelessness. But three?

An alternative theory is that it is not Grumpy attracting various Thug Cats but that TC2 and TC3 are part of TC's mafia. It's like when the thug running protection racket visits a shopkeeper. Shopkeeper declines service. Thug arranges for something to happen in shop so shopkeeper feels there is no choice but to pay up.

TC wants the run of NDN's house, the Grumpy house and various boats and cars. TC2 & TC3 have been brought in precisely to make Mrs Grumpy feel there is no choice but to pay TC protection money give TC the run of the Grumpy cat food supplies.

I'm not entirely convinced that TC is that clever but...
I can't help feeling that today, from his position on our patio table, he's checking that we've got the message .

I suspect there is a mouse behind the tomato plants this morning. TC and Lenny (and Karl unseen) have all been hanging around them.
TC had a great comedy moment when he slapped Lenny's bum as he (Lenny) went in between the plant pots. (Second picture shows the aftermath)
