I hope the literary TC will not object to being referred to as a thing.

The 'curtains ' advertisement was actually 'Pets at Home' . There is a mini TC in it.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 10/02/2020 10:23

Poor TC! I still don't know how you can resist that adorable little face.

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 10/02/2020 11:27

I actually think you should start a voting AIBU thread (although, extremely irritatingly, you don't see the votes on the app) asking whether you are BU not to let TC in. Then you have to abide by the majority verdict...

And then we wait to see if you're ever heard from again

And then we wait to see if you're ever heard from again

That would be my worry. As in Edward Lear, although I do know GrumpyOldPersonWithCats is a man.

‘There was a young lady of Riga,
Who smiled as she rode on a tiger;
They returned from the ride
With the lady inside,
And a smile on the face of the tiger.’

BovaryX · 10/02/2020 12:57

The melancholy regal Thane of Cawdor and his yearning for feline Nirvana next door.....

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/02/2020 13:13

I think TC can see the hypocrisy here.

Supersimkin2 · 10/02/2020 18:35

It's not right. You accept invitations from NDN but you don't invite TC back.

Manners, Grumpy.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/02/2020 18:44

I think my manners are impeccable(ish). Hmm
But does my NDN invite Basil, Sybil, Karl and Lenny in for afternoon tea?
I think not!

Grin I was teasing - one can tell you are very well brought up from your posts Grin

Afternoon Tea for Cats is doubtless a new East End fashion. A sprinkle of Dreamies served on a slate and a jam jar of lactose-free milk for only £55. Kitten portions available on request.

What a business proposition SuperSimkin2! Have you heard about the canine cocktails that apparently exist? Perhaps you could also serve Pawsecco, Catmint Julep, Blue Russian and Catpirinha? Non alcoholic of course - Dreamies are addictive enough

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/02/2020 21:38

@SuperSimkin2 - don't worry I was teasing too - but I'm sure my mum would have been very pleased with your compliment Grin.

In terms of afternoon tea for cats - you have clearly hit on the Next Big Thing. I suggest you patent the idea immediately.

Gloriously sunny this morning.

Basil and Sybil can't be bothered to go out - but they do have a visitor. Not difficult to spot the difference between Basil's and Sybil's body language.

I still wonder if TC has a secret lurve for Sybil!

I still wonder if TC has a secret lurve for Sybil!

I'm pretty sure if he does it will remain unrequited. Grin

BovaryX · 12/02/2020 12:46

The Thane and his unrequited love! He is a princely, stripy feline.....

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/02/2020 17:43

I doubt Sybil’s that sort of girl. She’s already got three ineffective males lounging around.

Supersimkin2 · 12/02/2020 19:45

They are sharing the first sunbeam of Spring. Let the delicate emotional flower of friendship bloom.

purrswhileheeats · 12/02/2020 20:27

I think if TC breathes hard enough on the window he could draw a heart with his paw for Sybil ♥️

AnneKipanki · 12/02/2020 20:59

😻

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 12/02/2020 22:49

I've a nasty feeling that TC is upping his game and is now hiring heavies to intimidate us. Shock
I just looked through the patio doors and there was a bloody great fox staring in at us. Been here over 20 years and never seen a fox on the patio before. I suppose this might explain the disappearing rodent corpses though.

OP posts:
Supersimkin2 · 13/02/2020 00:30

Is it fox cub time? Maybe TC's entered into a local business partnership.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 13/02/2020 08:54

TC is letting Sybil know he will be all gallant and manly and protect her from Reynard the Fox.

In all seriousness, Grumpy, is it best to keep the cats in at night? And NDN re TC too?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/02/2020 09:29

Spartacus
We've always had foxes round here (there are fields on the opposite side of the road to the house). Just never had one come up the steps of the patio and peer in before. So I'm not worried about our cats going out and I'm confident that TC can look after himself. (Having said that - I didn't let them out last night in a fit of post-fox anxiety - but Lenny went out through the bedroom window anyway)
A few years ago I saw Basil and a fox on the street trotting down the road together apparently having a friendly chat Grin.

Did TC bring any Valentine gifts @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats ?
