Think we need a bigger cat..... recommendations for a large family one?

Just that, really.

When it was just DD1, we had a 5 seater Toyota for me, and 5 seat Skoda for DH ( yes, we do love our flash autos!).

But with the DTs coming along, I think we need to raid savings for a bigger cat.... sigh! Recommendations?

@JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff

Nonsense, OP, they’d get on fine!

Holy fuck, my horse would SHIT his pants at this. There’d be horse shaped holes in every fence from here to the next continent!

I'd never have a cat whose poo was bigger than my hand.

ILoveDolly · 10/08/2018 22:04

I'm glad the Cat Bus from Totoro has featured, he is the perfect synthesis of OP intention and result!
Carwise I'd recommend the Ford SMax, very reliable and spacious, I find it easy to drive and manoever.

Just spent a very happy few minutes crying with laughter at some of the responses! DH thinks I'm very odd, he just didn't find it that funny when I showed him!

Maelstrop · 10/08/2018 22:56

This just popped up on my Facebook, how odd!

Johnny no! I would not hint at your pussy being larger than it should, after all, you are looking for a bigger one. Your sounds ... compact.

cakesonatrain · 11/08/2018 07:47

I agree that Catbus is the perfect solution.

ScreamingValenta · 11/08/2018 07:54

I've got the very thing for you!

Definitely catbus. Or a Maine coon.

A friend of mine who had a toddler and then twins has a SEAT Alhambra - still doing well as the kids are aged 4 and 18mo.

Dustycorners · 11/08/2018 14:10

Sorry, I’m all out of big pussy jokes, but this thread has been gold.

OP, I have 18m old twins and a 3 year old who all fit brilliantly in our Citroen C4 Grand Picasso. All in ERF seats (though only a limited few fit due to the underfloor storage boxes). The car is a lovely drive and great spec for newer second hand models at reasonable prices, unlike a lot of other mpvs we looked at.

MikeUniformMike · 11/08/2018 14:12

Ford Kuga or Jaguar F-pace, although you might get away with a Seat Leon.

AnyaMumsnet · 13/08/2018 12:06

Hi there everyone,

We can see you've all had a great time on this thread - we're moving it over to classics now!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 13/08/2018 12:08

I've been on FWR too long - I thought it was going to be a deletion followed by spankings all round :).

TheThirdOfHerName · 13/08/2018 12:19

As life mottos go, that one seems as sensible as any.

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 13/08/2018 20:31

Wow, Classics! If I can't buy a lion car, at least I have this....

Make sure it has a catalytic convertor.
