Old yet glorious and obscure movies

I've always loved The Amazing Mr Blunden but am amazed so few people have heard of it.
Anyone else have old yet glorious and obscure movies they love?

I am actually furiously making a list of all these fantastic films i haven't seen!

Au Hasard Balthazar and The Bicycle Thieves are just toooo sad! That poor little donkey! sob

My parents used to drop me off at our local art house cinema kids club every Saturday. It felt as if they showed The Red sodding Balloon every other week. I can still sing the theme music.

On the non-Balloon weeks, it was M. Hulot. God knows how many times I saw Mon Oncle.

Iirc it was quite a sexy film (altho contained no sex).

Days of Heaven - amazing cinematography, beautiful music, a young Richard Gere and a young Sam Shepherd.

First up "The strange love of Martha Ivers". I love Barbara Stanwyck.

I'm watching Maximum Overdrive.

Fab eighties film!

Leave her to a Heaven is a great film as is Tge House on Telegraoh Hill.

I love the idea of Waterpolo Bridge. That would have been a very different film altogether.

Days of Heaven is such a haunting film, and the soundtrack is beautiful. I forced my ex to watch it once and he absolutely hated it. Weirdo.
