I'm going to be a grandfather! Woo hoo! They haven't tuppence to rub together, so there'll be 3 generations under one roof. Still, DD is doing well after the throwing stopped, he's working all the hours God sends, and with luck I shall see New Person into their teens, as opposed to my DF who got less than 7 years of DGF hood. Wish us luck.

As I was reading it I was acutely aware a future pandemic was looming, hope it didn’t keep you away from your DD and DGS too much.

My parents missed their GCs terribly but we’re happily making up for lost time now.

ah, seeing this thread pop is like having an old - much missed - friend come visit.

I do hope you and the Little Prince are well, and that you continue to have that incredibly strong and special bond.

My grandad was one of the most important people in my life, and I got to spend time with him until I was 40, so well into adult hood. I can still hear his voice clearly all these years later. You are gifting that to this little guy.
