My Neighbour is mowing their grass. They have been at it since 8am.
I don't think this is outrageous. It's a good idea to do it before it gets hot.

cuboidal you are making me LOL Grin

My friend posted a sickening picture of her and her DH "enjoying" their anniversary even though he isn't on Facebook and she just wanted everyone to know that she "loves him to the moon and back", except for him.

I am so glad I got to tell this story. It is super cheesy and smug but they are well suited and it made me laugh, so instead of starting a vitriolic thread about smugness, I wished them a happy anniversary.

Also my children got their school reports. They are doing well in some areas and badly in others. I am okay with this. I don't expect my children to be geniuses.

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 19/07/2016 23:48

My youngest child is off to university next month. I'm really pleased to see them growing up.

If all threads were like this, MN Towers would have to close down AIBU for good!

It would have to be replaced with LABIA (Let's All Be Immensely Accommodating).

Ds's school report contained the odd spelling mistake and inconsistency, as well as some text that was about another pupil. I still know more than enough about DS's progress, and can see the reports must have taken ages to write and coordinate at a hot and busy time of year. I don't have to be a teacher to realise this.

My neighbours son frequently blocks our shared pathway when hoovering his car. He also has loud arguments with his girl friend and lots of slamming doors. He is annoying and messy leaving bits and pieces from his car on our shared wall which fall into my garden. My sons frequently annoy his dad by kicking balls into his garden. My neighbour and I often while away the time sitting on shared wall moaning about our kids and shrugging our shoulders. We have given each other permission to shout at each other's kids. We had lots of fun when my son smashed his shed window with a football and we made him spend a day tidying said shed..
After all it takes a village and all that.
We are grateful to be housed and fed and these are little things we laugh about.

Some of my Facebook friends post inspirational quotes that don't always resonate with me, but I don't care because I don't even read them.

MrsJackRackam · 20/07/2016 08:53

I didn't get a birthday card from my friend last week. She has 3 dc under 5 and an utter arse of a lazy shit for a husband so I'm not top priority in her day. I know she'll be there if I need her though.

PaintedDrivesAndPolishedGrass · 20/07/2016 09:50

I named my children without outside help.

practy · 20/07/2016 10:03

I forgot to send a birthday card and present for my dads birthday. I phoned him up as soon as I remembered the next day and apologised. He said not to worry, and no big deal.

PinkissimoAndPearls · 20/07/2016 10:36

My mother has just bought a load of stuff for my DCs to do in the holiday. She knows they like cooking so has bought Star Wars ready prepared cupcake mix and lots of neon sugary toppings, no doubt full of E numbers.

My DCs will be very happy and enjoy making them. They will probably take some cakes to my mother. They might even take them round without ringing her first. My mother will be very happy too. We will all eat the cakes.

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 20/07/2016 10:45

My child was spending all day playing video games instead of revising for gcse. So I took away their console until they had finished their exams.

RaggyDoll24 · 20/07/2016 11:09

Phlebotomist called someone ahead of me for my GTT this morning. She then called me five minutes later and apologised for forgetting me. I didn't mind and we had a nice chat. Even though she made me drink Lucozade (yuck).

1wokeuplikethis · 20/07/2016 11:35

I'm Facebook friends with a woman who posts loads of pouty selfies and pre/post gym workouts of her great body. She is really beautiful. She posts pictures of her dinners and checks in everywhere she goes. She also posts videos of herself singing in the car and looking sultry.

I don't think she is a narcissistic arsehole. I think good for her. And I haven't unfollowed her. Sometimes I scroll past her posts.

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 20/07/2016 11:37

My sister in law doesn't like me. I don't like my sister in law. We don't see much of each other.

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 20/07/2016 11:38

I had s problem with a travel document. I contacted the agency that issues the document.

meridithssister · 20/07/2016 11:53

I have breastfed my babies in various public areas. No one has ever commented on it. I have also bottle fed my babies in various public areas. No one has commented on that either.

Nishky · 20/07/2016 12:19

Best thread ever. Classics awaits.

I attended a meeting last night, I was very tired, I was a bit ranty and may have did jabbed my finger.

The other attendees still respect me and we will continue to work together.

MrsJayy · 20/07/2016 12:25

My neighbours children were in their garden late last night it was hot they probably couldnt sleep they were noisy its fine

itmustbemyage · 20/07/2016 14:00

My children have normal names spelt in the usual way and I don't care about anyone else's opinion.
I know people whose children have unique names, I don't comment, it's none of my business might have a slight snigger though at some of the really odd ones

DiamondInTheRuff · 20/07/2016 14:07

I was walking home today and I saw what looked like an abandoned car. I wasn't sure who to contact so googled it. I rang the appropriate number, gave the man all the details, and he thanked me for calling.

I did not post a photograph of the car on Facebook asking if anybody knew who it belonged to.

DiamondInTheRuff · 20/07/2016 14:23

Does anybody else keep mentally adding "Bob is smart. Be like Bob" to the end of these posts? Confused
