Remind me again why it would be unreasonable to ban a fully function adult from touching the curtains?

It's a bendy pole. They do not need to be vigourously yanked with vigourously vigour to the ends of the pole.

If you do that then the poor smuck that closes them has to stand on the settee to put them back in the original place so they can open and shut with just a swish.

I don't see how it can be unreasonable to get a megaphone and scream

STOP FUCKING UP THE CURTAINS YOU BIG EVIL CURTAIN ANNHILATING BASTARD.

And yes this is the absolute most important thing I have to worry about. All other worries are mere vexations in comparison to this Angry

Agreed - that would make me go off the rails I think... Grin

Just try and turn a blind eye.

(Sorry...)

HoneyDragon · 30/05/2016 23:26

I have only myself to blame ....

WorraLiberty · 30/05/2016 23:27

Anyway I can't remember what the question was

But YANBU

Hastalapasta · 30/05/2016 23:28

YANBU, LTB. And it's good night from me, final curtain call.....

FrayedHem · 30/05/2016 23:28

YANBU. Do not hold back your anger, you must rail against his pole bending ways. BTW if he is acting vigorously with the poles, you might want to check what he is doing with the hooks. Sorry Sad

DonkeyOaty · 30/05/2016 23:29

I am in stitches

Sew funny

SusanAndBinkyRideForth · 30/05/2016 23:29

I mean a bendy pole is bad enough - but a dodgy pelmet would be worse.

TheUnsullied · 30/05/2016 23:30

Shit like this really ruffles the fabric of the relationship ship.

elephantoverthehill · 30/05/2016 23:30

Initially I was hooked in by this thread, but now I think it needs to ring fenced.

TheUnsullied · 30/05/2016 23:30

(I'm really fucking digging now)

TheUnsullied · 30/05/2016 23:31

Relationship ship! Grin obviously not what I'd intended to say.

SusanAndBinkyRideForth · 30/05/2016 23:32

Tell him it's all in a smooth wrist action. Maybe he needs more practice? Or lubrication can help Grin

MrsWalterBishop · 30/05/2016 23:33

Best thread comments ever! Grin

AgingJuvenileBinkyHuckaback · 30/05/2016 23:33

I think we probably are runnering out of puns.

So now, the end is near....

MrsWalterBishop · 30/05/2016 23:33

Best thread comments ever! Grin

BoffinMum · 30/05/2016 23:35

Sheer bliss, this thread

Crispbutty · 30/05/2016 23:36

I would let him off the hook

HoneyDragon · 30/05/2016 23:37

Is this thread compleated yet?

(May as well join in)

OP posts:
FrayedHem · 30/05/2016 23:37

Obviously it's your curtain call, but you'll make a rod for your own back if you derail his efforts.

elephantoverthehill · 30/05/2016 23:38

Voile you are freaking out about your curtains, could you not a little swagger and demonstrate the correct method of bringing this to a close?

SusanAndBinkyRideForth · 30/05/2016 23:40

Careful though, he might do a runner, or go off the rails. Gather your thoughts carefully before addressing this hanging offence Grin

BastardGoDarkly · 30/05/2016 23:41

I think we need a poll to figure out your unreasonableness.

SilentBob · 30/05/2016 23:42

Well voile be damned...

SnuffleGruntSnorter · 30/05/2016 23:45

Eyelet my DH do what he likes with the curtains as long as he takes care of the pole himself

paxillin · 30/05/2016 23:45

I've got 2 curtain annihilators, one teenaged, one in his fourties. They SIT on them. Curtains in front of garden door step, step doubles up as seat. Open the fucking curtains before plonking yourself down. If you sit on them, they come down Angry. Every time, so why repeat the experiment?
