What is the correct etiquette please?

You need not quote directly from Debretts.

If I weren't in the queue for the soggy salmonella sarnies left in Tescos- I'd write a longer OP. Angry

I've been dipping in and out of this thread, very funny! Sorry OP Blush

Not sure if anyone has suggested this (haven't read all 14 pages) but could you buy a fridge lock and just keep it locked and not own up? You can't use it now so no big deal. If she gets it unlocked, buy another lock and keep doing it until you drive her batshit.

Digger! You are clever!
I will not be there tomorrow but ITbitch will be so I've asked him to do a couple of things so that it messes with her head as its only me taking her on at the moment. Will investigate a fridge lock, mind you the manager won't be happy Grin

Sooo, if everyone else is too chicken to pack their own lunch, maybe you should make up 12 or 15 (or however many staff) brown paper lunchbags full of misc crap to look like lunches, sellotape them closed and put them all in the fridge.

Or you could be generous and make lunches for everyone but her! C'mon, how much would a cheese sandwich and a tiny bag of crisps per coworker set you back? If I wasn't in the US, I'd set up a GoFundMe page for you to pay for it!

SlimCheesy · 05/05/2016 20:28

I'd donate to the GoFundMe page.

I think you're going to need to invest in one of those devices that they have in banks in action movies that explodes purple ink all over the thief when they try to steal the money. blatantly place marking

SteamTrainsRealAleandOpenFires · 05/05/2016 20:40

I wonder if MNHQ has this problem? Or has everyone got their own "Gin fridges"?

Ankleswingers · 05/05/2016 20:40

Reading this thread has made me hugely grateful that I buy my own lunch every day and my office has a proper kitchen with free tea, coffee and soft drinks. They did install a lunch room with fridges and microwaves but it's a pain to get to different part of the building, awkward seating and extremely noisy so I don't bother with it.

My friend who's a vegan was overjoyed and started bringing her own lunch in, marked with her name and in a box and it STILL got stolen. There is literally no excuse - we are in central London with a Pret, Itsu, Eat, M&S and Boots literally within two minutes of the office.

Proginoskes · 05/05/2016 20:52

Is the fridge the kind that has a top freezer? Because it sure would be a pisser if someone stuck that night's meat in the freezer and it was hard as a brick when she went to take it home...same for apples, once they've been frozen they get all nasty and mealy. And hey, it's getting warmer out (oh so slowly), maybe her kiddos would appreciate some nice frozen yogurts?

SoleBizzz · 05/05/2016 21:00

God so fucking annoying. What a food my boning bastard she is! I'll sort her she woukd tv scare me. I'd throw ver food on the floor and stamp on it.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 05/05/2016 21:02

What if this thread ends up being daily mailed ? Which angle would they go with? OP doing sad face, plaintively pointing at sushi in the bin. On FMFF looking stern, arms folded, stood in front of a fridge?

Who's setting up the GoFridgeMe donate page?

it does need to go in classics though

beccabanana · 05/05/2016 21:03

I vote for putting superglue on the fridge, just a tiny blob would do and would take seconds.

WoopWoop200 · 05/05/2016 21:04

This is the BEST thread i have seen on here.

OP please keep us updated....i NEED to know what happens Grin

I have a gin fridge. It's called the back of the closet.

Someone had thrown my colleagues Caesar salad dressing out yesterday from our work fridge. She was fuming and had to have a squirt of my mayo on her salad - do you think this is becoming a thing?

Why do people do this?

Though some weeks ago we had grape-gate at my work. One colleague was eating their lunch and another reached into the lunchbox and took some grapes Right Out Of Their Tupperware, right in front of them. Oooh that was a tricky moment, I can tell you.

DailyMailAreAFuckingJoke · 05/05/2016 21:12

Superglue her shopping to the fridge shelves...

blankpieceofpaper · 05/05/2016 21:12

You can get cheap tupperware type boxes in supermarkets - packs of five or ten etc. Buy some and, after filling them with any random foodstuff, label as:

Salmon
Mozarella
Unknown leftovers
Guacamole

Bacon
I think this is Kale
Three bean salad
Chicken
Hummus

pack boxes and packets in after she has left - take the offensive!

WhimsicalWinnifred · 05/05/2016 21:13

It are opposite the kitchen at my work. I wonder if that's the case in a lot of offices.

The above is an attempt to make my place marking less obvious.

Pipbin · 05/05/2016 21:14

If this was a thread about MNHQ that would be too meta. And we would all want to know who FmFF was.
