Mind you I was on dial up in them olden days, took about 10 minutes to tell him to fuck off.

RessyMedHair · 12/02/2015 23:20

This thread is hilarious!

I hope the embarrassment doesn't kill him.

Why did he think we needed help? because we're mothers or because we're women?! What an eejit.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 12/02/2015 23:20

Mistress :) Sort of 15th C poetic with random spelling :)

ProcessYellowC · 12/02/2015 23:20

Why did I only find out about Ada Lovelace from Twitter a short while ago, and why isn't she better known of generally?

IfNotNowThenWhen · 12/02/2015 23:21

Ta Giddy.Wink

CheshireSplat · 12/02/2015 23:23

Thank Derek. I think it's your cynicism.

Right, back to teasing the OP. Or should that be @OP.

Lweji · 12/02/2015 23:23

Oh the good old days of printing school work on this.

I am everything you hate about people on the internet. I am here to help.
EBearhug · 12/02/2015 23:24

I expect you really mean raspberry pie, don't you, *TwatFaceBitch"? That would be the properly womanly thing to do.

(I am currently coveting a Circuit Scribe kit and wondering if work could be persuaded to buy me one so I can do STEM stuff with schools. I don't actually have a need for it, but it looks fun to play with.)

MrsMinton · 12/02/2015 23:24

Pacific a geek is a nerd but with social skills!

QueenTilly · 12/02/2015 23:25

usual I'm flummoxed then. Obviously so is the OP.

OP, how did you start using the internet?

Enormouse · 12/02/2015 23:26

Blessed be the geeky hamsters

I am everything you hate about people on the internet. I am here to help.
Honeydragon · 12/02/2015 23:26

Pdog
It's ...

The geek shall inherit the earth

Right people, On edict from high above, Im only allowed to post the duck, if we're absolutely positivitily defifiniteitve surely sure that the op is a under bridged person.

So can I do the duck picture?

GiddyOnZackHunt · 12/02/2015 23:26

Ada Lovelace did come up in my O Level. Probably as Mr Babbage's muse though :(

ProcessYellowC · 12/02/2015 23:27

Why do no PS3 game endings come close to the magic of the half-second of starry sky visible when you got Roland on the Ropes to the top of his dungeon?

RessyMedHair · 12/02/2015 23:27

I feel guilty for laughing at him now.

there must be something amiss, starting this thread.

RessyMedHair · 12/02/2015 23:28

mrsminton, thank you, I didn't used to know the difference between a geek and a nerd!

PacificDogwood · 12/02/2015 23:28

Oh, I love ducks!

Please post the duck, HD, purleeze, for me?

PacificDogwood · 12/02/2015 23:29

Oh, and thank you for explaining the nerd/geek thing - see how useful this interweb thingie is?

EBearhug · 12/02/2015 23:30

Alongside Ada Lovelace, you should also learn about Hedy Lamarr, because we basically have WiFi because of her work. Also Grace Hopper, who wrote the first compiler. There have been lots of women in computing history, though you wouldn't know it sometimes. (I can go on at some length on this subject, but I'm actually going to be good and go to bed, because I need some sleep.)

I'll just mention this while I'm here gracehopper.org/calendar/grace-hopper-celebration-of-women-in-computing-2015/

Cinnamoncookie · 12/02/2015 23:30

What's the duck, honeydragon ? As I need to see it to understand, the OP must be underbridgey. QED.

PacificDogwood · 12/02/2015 23:30

Ah, come on, the OP only got a mild ribbing.

You're ok, love, aren't you?

LostInWales · 12/02/2015 23:30

10 print "welcome to MN"
20 goto 10

Actually a tiny bit nervous about pressing return. What if I break MN for myself?

ouryve · 12/02/2015 23:30

This was the last thing we used dot matrix paper for, before we gave up on the box that had been lying around the living room for about 5 years and recycled it. DS1 had decided he didn't like drawing on it because it was too old.

RessyMedHair · 12/02/2015 23:30

Here's a question

What does the Queen call a toilet?

I'd like to know. I asked that on another thread but nobody answered.

ouryve · 12/02/2015 23:32

You need to run it first, lost
