Ca. 1976 in California….

We were flash. We had a BBC Micro with a double floppy drive attached. Hours of typing out the code from the magazines that always required extensive debugging until I started writing my own and my O Level teacher had to go an borrow a machine from the university to run it on.

I first used a computer in 1973 but that was a mainframe. I was only 3 though.

My first was a 48k Spectrum, LadySybil, and I had a book of codes for that too .

Oh the joys of debugging in those days when you had to read through every line to see where a full stop was missing... And the sense of achievement when something finally worked! So much easier these days with decent text editors.

I did like my Spectrum. DH was a Commodore 64 owner, but we somehow managed to find common ground.

Perhaps he is genuine.
