I am bored. Help me prank my friend.

No i don't have anything better to do. Yes I am childish.

That said me and my best friend have a long running game where we like to prank each other. Very small scale stuff. Most recently this has taken the form of sending each other postcards from wherever we are with daft messages on them.

It started when i went on holiday and sent her a postcard as promised. Then she went away and forgot to send me one. So the next time i was away (not anywhere vaguely exciting) i sent her a narky one bemoaning my lack of postcards. Then she bombarded me with daft cards saying how much she loved me and was my bestest ever friend.

Now I'm stuck. What can I do or send her.....

I know mn is full of evil geniuses (genii?)...please help me Grin

Oh, you evil bunch - I shall steal all of these!

I set up a fake facebook of a person from our primary school and punked my sister one April Fool's Day

Poor DH once had prawns hidden in his car. It smelt absolutely vile for ages.

ApocalypseNowt · 29/08/2014 17:51

Oooh Teddy those are really evil ones. I prefer low level pranking personally cos im a wimp and i do actually like my friend really.

I may send her a card full of hole punches though elQuinto!

Do you have access to her Hoover?

Take the fuse out, then send her a card full of glitter!Wink

AlpacaPicnic · 29/08/2014 21:13

If you like... (Several steps so be patient...)
I will send you my address.
You send me a piece of paper (so definitely in your handwriting) the size of a postcard - with her address written out and a message from you.
I will go and buy a cheesy postcard of my home town in Devon. I will stick your message to the postcard and post it to her.

If you get really organised, you could do this with several MNers all over the country. We could do a coordinated post-on-the-same-day thing... Like a postal flash mob. She will be right confused and her postie will have a giggle!

AppleAndMelon · 29/08/2014 21:19

Can we have more Janet and Roy stories pls? [Grin]

You can post all sorts of things just by sticking a stamp on them. Particularly if you can laminate them... eg. toast.

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 30/08/2014 01:28

I missed the Janet and Roy saga last year. In so going to have to do it to MIL

GarlicAugustus · 30/08/2014 01:48

I can't believe I missed Janet & Roy! I want in this year Grin

Will also send dopey picturesque postcard of The Town That Time Forgot, if you want, Apocalypse.

Frogisatwat · 30/08/2014 02:25

Ooh another one gearing up for Janet and Roy...

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 30/08/2014 06:58

OMG - please please please will someone send a Janet and Roy to my in laws? I will dictate. They're born again Xians and the temptation to send them a Yule card is just overwhelming...

I will send one to the person of your choice in return. Promise!

CatThiefKeith · 30/08/2014 07:56

Patience.Smile

I will start Janet and Roy on the 15th of November and not before. Assuming nobody beats me to it that is.

That gives you two and a half months to work on the most hilarious, mysterious, confusing or outlandish round robin ever written.

When you nominate your Janet and Roy receivers it is good practice to add a few details that their friends would know, eg moved house, new grandchild, kids/pets names etc.

And if there is a specific area you need the card to come from there is bound to be a MNer that can help. Smile

Hazelnut55 · 30/08/2014 08:10

I really need to join in the Janet and Roy game!

One April Fool, I sent a text to 3 people asking them for an emergency loan of £1000, because my new car had gone wrong. 2 friends replied with a 'knowing look' text. The third friend replied two hours later to say she had drawn the money out of her ISA!

Whoops...

ApocalypseNowt · 30/08/2014 09:10

Garlic and Alpaca that would be awesome. I will take you up on that as soon as i have decided what to put on the postcard. Please can you try and source the lamest or weirdest postcard possible?

Cat Yes i can get to the hoover. And I will. She is a clean freak so this one will be especially sweet!

Crackedhouse · 30/08/2014 10:26

YES let's do the postal flash mob! We will all buy a postcard, you tell us what message to write, PM us the address, and we all post them on the same day!

Crackedhouse · 30/08/2014 10:29

DH suggests that the message should be 'you're next'

pingufan · 30/08/2014 11:06

I know someone who posted a couple of baby ferrets through their friends letterbox whilst they were out....the smell....lol

DoItTooJulia · 30/08/2014 11:11

Next time you're at her house, unscrew the shower head and fill it with red food colouring. Next person to have a shower thinks there's a blood bath!

Or tea on a string. You tie string around a mug handle, carry it in carefully, as if it's full. When you hand it to her, it 'slips' and she thinks really hot tea is about to spill all over her...except it's not! Now that's funny.

I grew up in a house with lodgers. We had FUN with them.

ApocalypseNowt · 30/08/2014 12:19

Crackedhouse You're next is funny and I think she'd get it.....

I was thinking though of each person sending a postcard with a letter on it that spells out a word insult as someone suggested up thread.

I'm thinking 'Cockwomble' Grin

Justnotimaginitive · 30/08/2014 13:19
