goofy sighing with relief that I'm not the only whose DH has had a sense of humour by-pas!

justmuddlingalong · 08/01/2014 23:05

Dp is nightshift and just phoned. Gave him the good news, he just kinda grunted. Confused

thenicknameiwantedisgone · 08/01/2014 23:05

Didn't get a dispatch email, just checked order status online.

CinnamonPorridge · 08/01/2014 23:05

Goofy, my dh has muttered similar things

"who will carry it to he charity shop" erm you

"there is still space in the skip" never

DowntonTrout · 08/01/2014 23:06

Goofy my DH will go mental if they actually arrive.

I already have a recliner upstairs, that belonged to my dear, departed dad.

I really don't need another. I can't get rid of that one!

(I ordered two, seemed a bit churlish not to.)

ButICantaloupe · 08/01/2014 23:06

On my M&S account it says:

BrianTheMole · 08/01/2014 23:06

I would have that for 50p. A bargain Grin. It look very comfy. Although I'd reupholster it.

GoofyIsACow · 08/01/2014 23:06

I dont know what he is bloody moaning about, ive ordered him one too!

ExcuseTypos · 08/01/2014 23:07

It looks like it's been in some kind of accident.Grin

LittleThorinOakenshield · 08/01/2014 23:07

It cant be a scam can it, I have logged in and out of my M&S account and there it is the ugly fucker.

LittleMissGerardButlersMinion · 08/01/2014 23:07

I went onto the proper website and searched for it, so I hope it's not a scam Shock

I'm going to check my bank, though I don't think they take the money until it is despatched?

GoshAnneGorilla · 08/01/2014 23:07

There is already a petition:

www.ipetitions.com/petition/give-us-the-ms-chairs-we-paid-for

GideonKipper · 08/01/2014 23:08

DH is quite often a grumpy sod but he's actually finding this quite amusing and says I should've bought ten.

There were only 34 people who kicked up a stink about the M&S tv cock up, and they got their televisions in the end, hundreds of pounds cheaper as well. Surely there's more than 34 people on here?

Just out curiosity, how much does it cost to re-upholster a chair??

ButICantaloupe · 08/01/2014 23:08

It's not a despatch email HoneyDragon check your M&S order history on their website??

GoofyIsACow · 08/01/2014 23:08

'The ugly fucker' actual gulping laughter!

CinnamonPorridge · 08/01/2014 23:08

How can it be a scam?

scripsi · 08/01/2014 23:09

In what way a scam Normal? It went through on my M&S account, it was on the M&S site, I didn't have to enter my bank details again or anything.

GideonKipper · 08/01/2014 23:10

I found it when I was looking through the sale furniture on the genuine M&S site; it can't be a scam.

Only so far as people saying the link is a dodgy one like those dodgy paypal ones you get

TimeToPassGo · 08/01/2014 23:10

Don't think it was a scam unless another link sprang up. I just logged into my usual account, it had my (mostly hidden) card details, delivery address etc.

JakeBullet · 08/01/2014 23:10

This order cannot now be amended Grin

Grennie · 08/01/2014 23:11

I ordered two and under my account it shows other previous orders I made

BrianTheMole · 08/01/2014 23:12

Just out curiosity, how much does it cost to re-upholster a chair??

Quite a lot I think. A few hundred at least. Maybe more. I'm doing an upholstery course courtesy of the council though for £40. So it would just be materials.

ButICantaloupe · 08/01/2014 23:12

It think they are jealous of our FANTASTIC chairs Normal
