I am pretty much Duran Duranned out from my previous thread but have been looking on You Tube and pretending it's the 80s again.

4forkssake · 17/08/2013 22:59

Oh black, wonderful life Smile

I used to go to a local tv show to watch it being recorded (like TOTP but not!) & met so many of the groups, singers mentioned on here. Brings back lots of memories of lovely, carefree, happy times Smile

PatFenis · 17/08/2013 23:00

I was in my element in the 80s - I spend most Friday nights youtubing 80s crap Grin

4forkssake · 17/08/2013 23:01

You're welcome sparkling. And about last night, also fabulous. The outsiders is one of my all time faves (& not just for that shower scene Wink), but I also love st Elmos fire & about last night. Have you seen masquerade?

LottieJenkins · 17/08/2013 23:02
This song is very bittersweet, memories of a very special friend. We used to lie on a mattress in his room listening to Talk Talk with his lava lamp. He was killed in a car crash a few years later. A friend had passed her driving test a few days before and was driving a Metro with five of them in it. The car turned over and they were all killed....... Sad
PatFenis · 17/08/2013 23:02

4forkssake my embarrassing claim to fame is that I vomited on 'Black's' (Colin Verncombe) lovely leather brogues in a club in Liverpool in 1988

Shaky · 17/08/2013 23:02

I used to love this

FacebookWanker · 17/08/2013 23:03

Loving this thread. Another great reminder from Pat Fenis.

I'm not sure if our wedding can still go ahead after DP uttered the words "Adam Ant was rubbish" Shock
