Weird things your body does, and you wonder if it happens to others too?

I know Im not the only one.

I cant even be arsed to name change, here goes.

Nervous fanny.

You know when someone falls - hard and cracks their chin or elbow or whatever, my stomach drops, I get a shot of anxiety that shoots through the pit of my stomach down to my fanny. Right in the middle of my fanny I get a horrible feeling of anxiety.

Its only started in the last few years, its really unpleasant. Its like a bolt of aniexty, and I ONLY get it when someone hurts themselves. Wtf is that all about?

Anyway, what weird shit does your body do? Confess.

This is just the best thread on the world. I finally feel normal, to the extent I can't even be arsed to name change.

gremlindolphin · 19/07/2012 22:45

what a fab thread!

tasteslikepanda, fluffygal etc - I do the swelling up thing and sometimes shrinking thing too!

fluffygal · 19/07/2012 22:46

Ooh Queen I was a bit of a pill/ pothead back in the day (long long time ago!) so could very well be drug related.

Chubfuddler · 19/07/2012 22:47

I get referred pain in my shoulder from random parts of my body.

Strong mint makes me sneeze

If I have an intense orgasm my right leg gets the trembles.

OHforDUCKScake · 19/07/2012 22:47

Oh, is it weed that does it then? That would explain why I havent had it in years.

GreenEyesAndHam · 19/07/2012 22:47

Sparkle yes I get the snapping band in my neck thing too, I can even hear it when it happens. Ugh

Stannwigg · 19/07/2012 22:47

Oh I sometimes get calf twitches. Last time I had a huge panic attack as I googled and though it was a DVT.

Smellslikecatspee · 19/07/2012 22:48

Tastelikepanda

Hey

It's a thing google, Alice in wonderland syndrome! It can mean lots of crap things but sometimes it's just there

atosilis · 19/07/2012 22:48

Haven't read the whole thread but if I clean my ears with a cotton bud, I will gag.

I also can relive an itch by scratching somewhere else.

No nervous fanny but genuine rock in pelvis - is that what you mean?

I can always tell if someone is behind me.

Everton4me · 19/07/2012 22:48

Nervous stomach and fanjo when watching You've Been Framed when people fall, slip, injure themselves. I also have a clicky left ankle that clicks on every stair when the ankle extends downwards. My mum has it too.

NotGeoffVader · 19/07/2012 22:49

I've only had javelin arse when I've had trapped wind. I have to tense everything up and slowly relax. And fart. [shocked]

I've also had the twanging thing that was mentioned upthread. Funnily enough in the same ear that gets the horrible ache.

TheEnthusiasticTroll · 19/07/2012 22:49

when i need a shit and have held it in I get a feeling like my head is growing bigger.

My Dr told me the unreachable itch was to do with thrush affecting the nerves a bit like shingles or herpes does. may have no symptoms else where.

MeeWhoo · 19/07/2012 22:49

I can really feel the connection betwen my eyes, nose, ears so I can always taste eye drops at the back of my mouth ( vile) and I always cough if I use a Cotton bud in my ear.
Also, not weird but just wondering if someone else has it or knows what it is. Every so often, usually around my period I get these tiny bumps in my fingers that are really itchy. They are very small and look a bit like tiny round blisters,my mumalso gets them.

Stannwigg · 19/07/2012 22:50

YY to the ear cleaning thing, except in my case, it makes me cough uncontrollably.

Also, I can't burp. At all. Ever. And I drink an awful lot of beer.

PatFenis · 19/07/2012 22:50

oooooh! Heres one for ya all - I know someone whose body seizes up after drinking a couple of glasses of wine. Her hands pull into fists, her face seizes up and she can only move her eyes (she can talk when this happens but only through gritted teeth as her jaw is frozen) and she says her toes get cramp at the same time. I happens every time she drinks alcohol. Each episode lasts for about 5 minutes and then she goes back to normal. I am convinced she is having some sort of fit but she refuses to go to her doctor - its very bizarre to watch! :(

TastesLikePanda · 19/07/2012 22:51

I might have smoked like 5 joints in my whole life - so maybe not a pot thing!
Am now slightly nervously googling Alice in Wonderland syndrome...

SuperSesame · 19/07/2012 22:51

Love this thread and have to add my own.quickly scanned theough and i dont think it has been said already but i would LOVE to now if it happens anyone else.

If im 'enjoying' time on my own and fantasising or thinking about sexy thoughts,I always sneeze. Without fail happens everytime and only happens with alone time and has done ever since i was young.
I cant explain it!

swiftybaby · 19/07/2012 22:51

Madame folly I get that weird head thing tis horrid!
Also when I clean my ears out it makes me really cough?!
I get really hot feet at night?
Also twitchy eye. Apaz it is a sign of dehydration? (not sure if I've just made that up!)

Signet2012 · 19/07/2012 22:51

I get an urgent itch, you know the type that makes you jump and when I scratch it, it makes somewhere else on my body tingle.

I also can scratch my back myself and it makes behind my knee itch.

If I bang my elbow it makes me sneeze.

My sternum (sp?) pops everytime I stretch.

If I put my left arm in a jumper first I get immediate pins and needles in my fingers, If I put my right arm in first and then my left it does not happen.

If I put my finger in my belly button it makes my throat itch which can only be stopped if I hold my nose and blow.

I am a freak!

EyeoftheStorm · 19/07/2012 22:51

I need more javelin arse facts to compile. I can categorically state that there has been no trapped wind associated with my javelin arse, not Geoff. Could understand where it came from if that was the case.

TheEnthusiasticTroll · 19/07/2012 22:52

my ear expeled a massive hard lump of wax about the size of a marble, my actual ear canal contracted and the pain was so immense It had me on the floor and then I caught the ball of wax in my hand.

CarlaBruni · 19/07/2012 22:52

Oh, I get those time blisters around period time - but on my top lip. Thanks.

Stannwigg · 19/07/2012 22:52

troll the head/shit thing is the funniest thing I have EVER read. Just brilliant.

Christ, we're a bunch of freaks, aren't we?! :)

Signet2012 · 19/07/2012 22:53

Oh and if I am unwell or over tired, I get really cold knees. Really cold. Only way to sort it is a really hot bath and to put bed socks on. My dad and my cousin have exactly the same problem

EyeoftheStorm · 19/07/2012 22:54

oooh, enthusiastictroll, did you do anything to cause the wax to come out? I have it at the moment and have an appointment to have my ears syringed next week. It's really annoying me.
