Weird things your body does, and you wonder if it happens to others too?

I know Im not the only one.

I cant even be arsed to name change, here goes.

Nervous fanny.

You know when someone falls - hard and cracks their chin or elbow or whatever, my stomach drops, I get a shot of anxiety that shoots through the pit of my stomach down to my fanny. Right in the middle of my fanny I get a horrible feeling of anxiety.

Its only started in the last few years, its really unpleasant. Its like a bolt of aniexty, and I ONLY get it when someone hurts themselves. Wtf is that all about?

Anyway, what weird shit does your body do? Confess.

This utterly, utterly brilliant thread has reminded me about sleep orgasms ... it's been so long since I had one, I'd forgotten about them :( Could be the best reason I've thought of to start coming off the antidepressants!

I do have flying dreams nearly every night, though. Obv not a weird physical/neurological thing, just dreams. Cheers me up (but not as much as an orgasm ...)

MildredIsMyAlterEgo · 20/07/2012 00:00

Certain voices (particularly Brian Sewell's Shock ) make the back of my neck go tingly

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 20/07/2012 00:02

Oooh, think I just found out what my heart popping thing is!

recall · 20/07/2012 00:02

I am very freaked out by alice in wonderland syndrome, I thought i was the only person in the whole world to experience this and have never been able to articulate it Shock

If I get into a bath that is too hot, I bare down like when you have a poo or are pushing in labour, and it is sort of involuntary

is knitting needle up the arse syndrome the same as javelin up the arse ? I've had that for years, especially when I'm on.

Very smelly stale poos when on too

SrirachaGirl · 20/07/2012 00:04

I get the neck-shock-nerve thing that MadamFolly described at the beginning of the thread. Have never spoken out loud about it because I thought it was just me.

Also, I get real tingles/prickles on the back of my neck when I hear a particularly moving piece of music. If I had fur, it would stand up.

recall · 20/07/2012 00:05

also get a nasty twinge inside my brain like someone has tied it to some fishing line and is yanking it - very severe - had it years - get it about once every 3 months for several seconds.

bogeyface · 20/07/2012 00:06

I can do cobra spit on purpose, it goes really far, up to about 2 metres sometimes!

I realise it is totally disgusting but I was quite the playground star as a kid :o

You sort of push your tongue into the bottom of your mouth and flex the muscle as you do it!

cocolepew · 20/07/2012 00:07

DH sometimes has sugar puffs wee, even though he doesnt eat them.

cocolepew · 20/07/2012 00:09

Hazel my left eye has started leaking , its been about 6 weeks now and theres no sign of it stopping.

TheEnthusiasticTroll · 20/07/2012 00:12

"DH sometimes has sugar puffs wee, even though he doesnt eat them"

WithACherryOnTop · 20/07/2012 00:16

Does anyone else have to run to the loo soon after entering a bookshop or library?Blush

doinmummy · 20/07/2012 00:20

My eyelids sometimes feel paralysed, in that I cant open them when I wake up.
I wonder if this is a 'dry eye' type thing.

Lisatheonewhoeatsdrytoast · 20/07/2012 00:27

a funny fanny, i call it! Grin I get it if we drive over a hump bridge and when you drop at the other side, "funny fanny" happens Grin I get it the same with heights and what not too!! I thought i was a freak!!!

Arana · 20/07/2012 00:28

I feel vindicated as a human being - everything that I have weird things about (electric zap in the neck, nervous fanny, vag bubbles, really itchy shins in bed, itchy chin when I'm having an asthma attack and neck itching when I tweeze my eyebrows) everyone else has too :)

ALittleScatterOfRain · 20/07/2012 00:30

I have the twitchy eyelid too if I'm stressed and I get in in the slightly pudgy bit on the inside of my foot, just under the ankle bone. You can see it pulsing in and out, it's very strange.

I also have a spot on my leg with no feeling- it's where I have a sort of pit/scar from chicken pox so I'm guessing it's localised nerve damage.

I have a horrible one too, if I get cramp in my right arm (fortunately rarely) it's absolutely awful. It spreads very quickly and my arm pulls up and my hand curls in towards my forearm completely involuntarily. I think it must be something to do with the dominant muscle groups? It's quite scary though especially as it doesn't happen in my left arm Confused

bogeyface · 20/07/2012 00:32

I get funny fanny too :o

Inadeeptrance · 20/07/2012 00:38

Sometimes, (usually if I'm lying in bed going to sleep) I think about sex and it makes me sneeze!

I also get the neck twang hot feeling, I call it 'whiplash'.

My big toe on my left foot goes through periods of intense itchiness. As did my left nipple, though that has now stopped.

I sometimes get a weird feeling like I'm either really really big... Or really really small... Or something... Never tried to put that into words before!

EduStudent · 20/07/2012 00:53

The sugar puff wee can be a sign of diabetes, might be worth getting that checked.

Needing a poo can completely fuck me up. Headaches, lethargy, terrible aching all over. My sister just goes a deathly pale white...

Arana · 20/07/2012 00:53

DH also gets a thing when he sneezes, inside the bones in his upper arms really really hurts.

SummerRain · 20/07/2012 00:57

If I lean forward at a certain angle it feels like the bit the should be behind my ribs at the bottom of my chest is trapped on the wrong side of my ribs. It fucking hurts and there's a visible bulge. It gets stuck like that and takes about 20 seconds to 'release'

All my joints pop, some really loudly. I can pop my hips in and out and dislocate my jaw.

Sometimes I get a really weird itch on my top lip at the right, always at exactly the sane spot, feels like a bee buzzing.

cocolepew · 20/07/2012 01:01

Definitely not diabetic.
I sometimes dislocate my jaw by yawning too wide.

EduStudent · 20/07/2012 01:03

My jaw clunks every time I open it and dislocates often Sad

Cailleach · 20/07/2012 01:04

If I see someone I love getting hurt (family, friends, pets) I get a sciatica-like pain that shoots down from the small of my back through to my thigh.

NellVarnish · 20/07/2012 01:45

Can't sleep because of Restless Legs and have almost woken the household up chortling and snorting with laughter at some of the ailments on here - the cat is looking at me like Hmm.

Yy to Javelin Arse, Funny Fanny and Cervix Twitch!

Can I add Fluttery Buttocks to the list? It's a fluttery feeling inside one perfectly proportioned buttock, a bit like baby kicks. Not altogether unpleasant and not painful like Javelin Arse. Grin

LesserOfTwoWeevils · 20/07/2012 02:13

I get hiccups immediately if I eat freshly baked bread or cold potatoes.
