One idle google and 10 minutes later dd and I have a pan full for lunch, it's lovely.

It was bad enough finding out about cleaning washing machines, and Veet to unclog hairy plug holes.... and now you failed to tell me this Angry

What an education I am getting from MN! Just had a banana & will be buying some cheap hair removal cream next time I shop - & I found a shopping list yesterday & hung onto it - not truly sure why I did that!

I'd make a fridge out of chocolate fill it with booze and have one hell of fucking good night.

And if any of your fridges are those brushed steel ones, the best thing to clean the outsidey bits with (for the removal of Unsightly Fingerprints) is baby oil.

That's it. That's me all used up now.

ouryve · 27/02/2012 16:15

Wipe with a solution of vinegar or lemon juice. Fishy smells are amides and ammonia - the acid will help get rid of those.

stealthsquiggle · 27/02/2012 16:15

Norm - you mean you don't already have one Shock? How does Bossy Ross keep track of all his crew's kit - they must spend most of every bath doing kit checks.

ouryve · 27/02/2012 16:16

Talking about Vivi's fishy fridge there of course.

NormanTheForeman · 27/02/2012 16:19

Ah well, stealth, my owner seems to make more use of the paddling pool than the bath for Bossy Ross's excursions. And if he does use the bath, it gets combed carefully for small items before the plug is pulled Wink.

PrisonerOfWaugh · 27/02/2012 16:19

Smelly fridge tip: a chunk of peeled potato will absorb the smells (maybe)

NormanTheForeman · 27/02/2012 16:22

I heard somewhere that cutted up onions and cutted up boiled potatoes were good for absorbing bacteria - maybe they would also absorb odours?

NormanTheForeman · 27/02/2012 16:22

Grin X-posts with Prisoner!

PippiL · 27/02/2012 16:23

Chocolate, in a fridge? Wash your mouth out. That is just plain wrong. Everyone knows it has to be room temperature so you get ''mouth feel'.

GrimmaTheNome · 27/02/2012 16:28

potatoes might... onions could only compound the problem, surely?

('cutted up' - that sounds like someone who's spending too much time talking to toddlers - so cute Grin)

FourThousandHoles · 27/02/2012 16:29

We've had dossils in our house for yonks, but I had no idea they were called dossils. They're known in our house as the "sink drainer thingy". It had never occured to me though to put one in the bath .

I also have a booze auxilliary fridge in the shed. In the winter it gets too cold and cans start exploding things freeze in it.

NormanTheForeman · 27/02/2012 16:32

I don't know Grimma, a fridge ponging of onions might still be better than one stinking of fish! Grin

My owner is 11, so I don't often talk to toddlers, but ever since the Cutted Up Pear, I tend to think of things as "cutted up" now... Blush

WordsAreNoUseAtAll · 27/02/2012 16:33

I'm just sat here giggling at fishy drainage holes, posh hairy holes, filthy drawers and lubricants.

I shouldn't be allowed on grown up threads.

PippiL · 27/02/2012 16:36

ViviPru · 27/02/2012 16:36

I think the combination of lit match and charcoal might deal with the smelly fridge - but not in a manner that would result in un-smelly booze auxilliaries

smartiesrule · 27/02/2012 16:41

Come on Vivi, we need an updated picture please. There'll be no room for anything else soon...

lazydog · 27/02/2012 16:44

I have a food fridge and a tortoise fridge Grin
