Great big effing boil on my neck! Help!

I've NEVER had a boil, ever, and now, 4 days after I go from long hair to a short bob, I've got something that looks like another nipple. It HURTS! I've put metanium on it and it's coming up to a point but there's no head on it. I don't feel too well either but that might be unrelated.

What should I do?! Help!

Can I just ask, what does it smell like? Am assuming vile but you've not mentioned!

BagofHolly · 18/08/2011 00:27

Doesn't smell of anything! Weird huh? I thought itd be like, well, rotting flesh, but maybe that's tomorrow's delight.

Christ.

That's bloody lovely disgusting. Well done!!

That's got me panting.

EveryonesJealousOfWeasleys · 18/08/2011 00:41

ROFL @ "That's got me panting." - imagining you rubbing your thighs in the manner of Vic Reeves Grin

HazeltheMcWitch · 18/08/2011 00:50

Wowsers! Glad you have had some relief. Glad too that you are/have been a writer. 'Pustard' ? Love that word. Go back to writing, you are fab at it. Perhaps you can script the first pus-based sitcom?

Was I the only one who wanted to put my fingers through the screen (at the latest pics) and give it a good squeeze?

fanjolamps · 18/08/2011 01:17

Wowzers that is truly awesome. Holly you are so stoic, I'd be camped in A+E if I had Cyst Fabregas on my blummin neck. Seriously though it is very very bad, I wish you would go to the hospital.

diddl · 18/08/2011 07:06

OMG-why did I click on the link whilst eating my porridge?

I gather it's frowned upon, but sod it, I am marking my place!

FriskyBivalves · 18/08/2011 07:37

Oh pleeeeeeeeeaase go to hospital so we can see pix of the scooping and packing. Actually, don't you want them to take some samples of CystFab (or even FabCyst) and see what you are actually harbouring in there? Loch Ness monster? Shergar? Elvis????

By the way you know that most surgeries still have district nurses? If u can't do casualty because of dcs you can ask for a home visit for dressings etc. You seem to think the end is in sight but that looks like the Icelandic volcano that keeps on erupting to mass mayhem...

MissBeehiving · 18/08/2011 07:43

Wow, just wow.

Catsmamma · 18/08/2011 07:46

oh delighted for you and the whole family on the new arrival!

;)

i'd so give that the hot spoon now, just to really work everything out.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 18/08/2011 07:53

I'd agree that proper dressings are needed now. You could phone up your gp surgery and ask for a nurse appt.

JetLi · 18/08/2011 07:55

Sweet baby Jesus & the orphans, has anyone got any brain-bleach? Holly - hope it feels better this morning

whomovedmychocolate · 18/08/2011 08:02

Umm err good that it's oozing but that ooze is full of staph bacterium which will make you and everyone round you sick if they get into the body. Not only wash your hands well but don't let anyone touch your icky muslins. Put them straight in the wash - a hot wash. And be really careful with your hairbrushes etc, if the goo gets on there and you have a tiny spot on your head you'll get another one (and while I fear you are enjoying the infamy Wink you will get a bad reputation from the GP if you keep growing new heads) Grin

SirSugar · 18/08/2011 08:07

Have been lurking on thread just to make sure you're alright; its so fascinating terrible.

any chance of moving pictures?

Purpleprickles · 18/08/2011 08:10

Ewwwww I love a good spot too but that has made me feel very nauseous. Not sure I'll be able to eat today Grin

What are the developments this morning Holly?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 18/08/2011 08:11

I fear that she may be stuck to the pillow and unable to leave her bed!

EuphemiaMcGonagall · 18/08/2011 08:23

I reckon this guy is inside.

MigratingCoconuts · 18/08/2011 08:25

ok, just opened that in front of the young DCs!

'what is that mummy?' came the plaintif cry!

(now they just want to look at it again and again)

glad you are feeling better. We were beginning to get a bit concerned there last night!

SirSugar · 18/08/2011 08:27

Euphemia, my mum went to see that at the cinema when it was released and at the moment the alien burst forth everyone gasped out loud.

This is why we need moving pictures IMO

5GoMadOnAZ650 · 18/08/2011 08:27

Gah! I can't see the photos from my iPhone as the links won't work.

MigratingCoconuts · 18/08/2011 08:30

well, quick biology lesson for my 4 and 6 year old is over!

my 6 year old wants to know why you are not in hospital.....

MagicFingerGoesPop · 18/08/2011 08:34

This thread is hilarious. Those pics are..well! OP hope you are feeling better this morning.

AncientsOfMuMu · 18/08/2011 08:36

In honour of Cyst Fab, I think we should have a new one of these Biscuit with red on the outside and yellow in the middle.
