RowanMumsnet · 07/06/2010 12:20

Following on from previous discussions about children with special needs and nappy provision, our magnificent colleagues at Every Disabled Child Matters have now set up a link through which you can email David Cameron to indicate your support for the campaign: click here to go to EDCM's site and send your email.

You can also see the campaign page here for the full text of the letter that has been sent to the Prime Minister.

Have just seen those messages on FB too. I think I'm going to have to delete MN FB from my FB because everytime I look at it there are nasty, vicious messages from the same woman - Claire Khaw (will I get into trouble for naming her?). Apparently we are all screeching harpies who always have our hands out for more money .

I've just signed letter, thanks.
My 8 yr old DD1 is still in nappies and I buy my own die to the huge gap between the largest childs nappy and the the next size up which are small tenna pants for adults.

Saucepanman · 10/06/2010 13:39

Just came on to ask MN to delete those FB comments AND block the twat who made them, before I lower myself to her level and say something I regret. I really can't believe what I am reading

Have clicked the original thing btw

MarvelousNonPerfection · 10/06/2010 13:43

Done.

MumofOscar · 10/06/2010 14:01

I second Saucepanman. Is there anything that can be done by MN? I've reported posts to FB.

Saucepanman · 10/06/2010 14:10

I've reported every one of her posts on there. If you want a laugh, click on her name and read her "quotes"- talk about up her own arse!

TheOldestCat · 10/06/2010 14:11

Done. Bumpity bump.

gingertoo · 10/06/2010 14:11

Email sent to Dave

Thomcat · 10/06/2010 14:24

Regarding said utter twat on the Mumsnet Facebook thread, how do I report? I've clicked on 'flag' but not quite the same as reporting??? Neither can I comment (which might be a good thing right now) but for the future, what is the tweet thing, why can't I leave a comment in the same way as other groups?

3cutedarlings · 10/06/2010 14:42

TC its when you have clicked on the flag thingmajig just reload the thread, you will be able to comment then, id advice you just to block her.

To report the posts click on flag and then report

sent my email, but wanted to add some more about the same problems for disabled adults (whom I work with), but could only type less than 3 lines - the restriction is 900 characters not 950 as stated. It would have been nice to have had a few hundred words to add wanted I wanted to say. After all, disabled children grow up and it is no better for adults - possibly worse. There is no-one to speak for them in a lot of cases and they often have less than £30pw of money to pay for essentials such as clothes, toiletries, trips and furniture etc.

does this help?

mummyhill · 11/06/2010 13:40

email sent.

onebatmother · 11/06/2010 16:48

I suspect that you are all clever enough to have understood this, but I just signed up and very nearly clicked away from the page after entering my details but before actually sending the letter to DC .

Just to be sure, you get 2 confirmation emails = one from EDCM, and one from Number 10.

Only 370 people have done it so far. C'mon please!

WowOoo · 13/06/2010 10:36

It takes about a minute to do by the way.
