Morning all. Mars....next time, next time....arrange a multiples meet up and I'll be there!

triplets · 17/07/2010 18:03

I`ll come...........please

I havent the energy to tell you about my day, very fed up. H still in hospital, very very down and grumpy, the whole situation is frustrating. Boys had friend for a s/over last night as Dad isnt here, they have never done it before, I got to sleep at 3am!

Do I hear the drinks trolley yet?

MildredwithTwins · 17/07/2010 20:56

Have a nice soothing gin, tonic, ice and slice of lime.

My weekend hasn't been nearly as bad as I feared. DH away on lovely gourmet stag weekend in Lyon, my longest yet without him post-babies. Fri am v down, as DT2 ill and DT1 grizzly and threatening, myself convalescing from same tummy bug (I know, minor stuff, but still not fun). Then persuaded reluctant friends to come on Friday eve until just now, and we actually had fun, not just coping. Much better than I thought it could be.

DT2 still not better, and not yet settled for the night, so could be up all night again tonight, but at least he comes home tomorrow lunchtime.

Hope you have a better night Mildred, I so remember those days!

Mildred, you are now officially a Wonder Mum. And don't forget you have just earned yourself a decent bit of you-time: about forty eight hours' worth, yes?

Estar, hope you had a great birthday yesterday.

Trips, hope things are on the up for your DH.

Mildred, hello! Hope you & your DTs are recovering well!

Sorry I haven't been around in a while. Have had a busy few weeks...,

DTs were christened on 3rd July; had a lovely family day. My MIL hosted everyone after the service; she is a star! Boys were very good throughout & seemed to enjoy the actual baptism, both giggled when the priest poured water over their heads.

Sadly my mum's best friend died the following day. She had been ill for a few months, and my mum had been doing lots of practical stuff for her & her family. I think that it's really going to hit Mum hard in the next few weeks. So I've been trying to visit & spend time with her as she loves seeing all the kids. Not sure what else I can do for her?

I've also been trying to get organised for my return to work in just over 2 weeks
I've just about managed to negotiate a 3 day week, giving me 2 days with all the kids at home. So hopefully it won't be too traumatic.

We also had a lovely little family break in Fermanagh. Just for a weekend, but it was lovely to be away. Managed to take all 3 kids to the pool & have some lovely walks.

My mini drama today was finding a mouse in C's room. TG, DH was home at the time. The little fecker (mouse, not DH) scrabbled across the floor towards me whilst I stood squealing like a stuck pig. It is now deceased (and possibly eaten by some raucously excited seagulls after DH chucked it over our back hedge... bleurgh). Humane traps on the shopping list for tomorrow. Fingers crossed there are none of its mates scrabbling about tonight.

Off to bed, night all xx

Morning Shabs, morning girls, at last a minute to myself! The last week has just been bedlam, how I got thru it I don`t know. Anyway, H came out of hosp on Sun, looking much better, though very fed up! Y/day we had to be at the chemo unit at Ashford by 10am for bloods and to see what they said about last weeks adventure! Bloods are good so back on track, chemo tomorrow at a slightly reduced dosage. Had 4 lots of visitors since Sat night, 3 lots unexpected, Danish friends here last night, saw them off at 6.30am today! Hoping for a quiter week, kids finish Frid.......aggggghhhhhhhh!

trips - exhausting!

Just been making thankyou cards for the teachers tomorrow (last day). I got all the craft stuff out but then Eva woke up and needed feeding so I had to leave them to it. Came back to find DS4 had emptied most of the sequins on the floor (of course).

DS1 had done one card for both his teachers. When I asked him who would take it home, he said 'Well maybe Mrs Whyte could have it one day, and Mrs Read the next day and they could keep swapping like that'. I told him that might not work so well but had a little thinking about his two teachers driving backwards and forwards to each other in the holidays to make sure there was equal custody of the card.

DT1 made beautiful cards on the outside with crazy pictures of dinosaurs inside, who were eating people while thinking about fairies (there were thought bubbles and everything)

And DT2, who is 'special', had been very busy squirting glitter pens into pots so he could mix the colours together. All he had written on his cards were 'iwilgetyouacat'. I asked why he was going to get a cat to each of the TAs and he looked at me like I was stupid and said 'Because I love them!'

shabbapinkfrog · 20/07/2010 22:47

Had an hillarious 'drunken' (on his part) conversation with Nikos the beautiful one, on FBook messanger last night!!

Nikos: Every day I wake and I think of you.

Me: oh right!!

Nikos: I miss you and am counting the days till I see you again!

Me: Me too Nikos

Nikos: You are always in my mind

Me: You Ok Nikos - have you had a drink?

Nikos: Oh yes I have drunk many drinks!

Me: so you miss me a lot and cant wait to see me?

Nikos: This is what I have said!

Nikos: and Tom and Derrick as well. You are like a second mother to me.

Me: Night Nikos - see you soon
