Hello all,
I'm an occasional lurker. I really needed some people to talk to last week, but didn't have the opportunity to post.
DTs are now 53.5 weeks, and just driving me nuts with their destruction and whingeing. I mean, they are lovely, of course, but they can climb, and empty cupboards, and there's no way to lift everything out of their reach.
DT1 can now wriggle under one of the stairgates to climb the stairs if he wants. They are both exasperating on the changing mat, and I've had enough, enough.
Actually it's not so bad today, as DH has been at home to look after them for the last 2 days (giving me an opportunity to job hunt), but I needed to rant.
Thank you

Feel depressed.............been to mums for tea.........aghhhhhhhhhhhh

snowplop · 03/07/2010 19:50

Hi. Another occasional lurker here - I thought I'd take the plunge and jump in towards the beginning of one of your epic threads! Hope thats ok?

DTs b/g are 2 next month and I also have a DS who'll be 4 next month too. mildred I too have a house of destruction and chaos so I know where you're coming from! DTS has realised he can get out of his cot and the last few nights have been like a bad episode of Supernanny - putting him back in over and over and over again. A few nights ago we fell asleep before he did and woke the next morning to find him asleep on his bedroom carpet

So those with older multiples...when does it get easier? Does it get easier? Please say it does.

oooggs · 03/07/2010 20:29

Just shows how tired I am - took me ages to work out how old 53.5 weeks was in years

piximonkeyingaround · 03/07/2010 21:29

I'm here for a moment or two. Went out with the dds and my mum today, window shoped, ice cream on the beach, visited my grandparents and then went to park. Am exhausted .

FG come back soon please.

Dingdong

triplets · 03/07/2010 22:16

Awwwwwww thank you thank you both of you for the offer, I know you would if you could and I know you truly mean it. Would have trouble getting kids up to you Shabs, we only want one night in town but I cant see it happening mainly because I dont think he is up to it. Today we had the annual allotment competition and bbq, he has worked his socks off to get his plot ship shape, it is immaculate and lovley, must try and post some pics. Anyway everyone was gobsmacked that he didnt win a single prize, nothing. The irony was the two main prizes went to the couple who inherited his old allotment! Its only abit of fun but I think he was abit disappointed because I wonder if he is thinking it may be the last time, I dont know. Anyway it was a nice afternoon but he didnt eat anything, a bite of a burger and put it down, came home and hasnt moved since. I haven`t stopped and to be honest am exhausted, esp with the heat, the house is unbearably hot but he has closed all the windows except for the kids room as he is cold. I think I shall maybe wait until Tues, see how he is and perhaps we will just go up for the day then the kids can go to my brothers until we get back. So frustrating being so tied by this rotten rotten disease. But.........you are both lovely, Shabs I know you would if you could, thank you my friend xxx

triplets · 04/07/2010 22:50

no one around..........just wanted a chat, hope FG is having a much needed holiday, where ever she maybe xx
Off to my sofa, at least I can open the windows now he has gone to bed, night night all xx

shabbapinkfrog · 05/07/2010 00:01

Oh Trips I would give everything I have to help you. I would be delighted to have your DC here. I know it doesn't 'work' BUT I am sincere in my words to you. You know something.....as our lovely kids get older stuff like that will become easier. If there is anything I can do for you to ease your burden please, please dont hesitate to shout up. xxxxxxxxxx
