Hiya girls - had Lew today for the first time in 2 weeks. Tom, Ems and myself all had that awful bug. He is sooooooooooooo funny. He has sat on my knee most of the day chattering away and 'singing' LOL - his favourite is still Beautiful Girl by Sean Kingston. He now has red CURLY hair because it is growing.

shabbapinkfrog · 28/09/2009 22:00

frumpster - check your emails

curiositykilled · 28/09/2009 22:04

hi shabs - you all better now? xx

fg - glad dd had a good time. We used to give DS chocolated coins for potty training, dd just needed the competition with DS as motivation

curiositykilled · 28/09/2009 22:09

lucya - got a bit carried away with baby excitement I think - sorry! 6lb+ is good! We're getting on fine, going in on wednesday to finalise my birth plan and got a midwife app tomorrow. Think everything is going swimmingly Can't wait for mine either, feel huge and useless and moving a little bit today has given me nasty braxton hicks!

Dizzy you're doing so well.

FG so proud you let her go. Chuck a rug over the carpet you wore through with all your pacing.

estar there was an article in the paper at some point maybe at the weekend? that said in Japan an aid agency treating children for hookworm noticed that the children they treated tended to have higher incidences of asthma and other allergy related problems compared to rates with children not treated. They believe that the parasites give off allergy reducing benefits in order to keep their hosts healthy .

Good morning girls xx

Morning Shabs, one of the benefits of having to get up by 6.30am is the amazing sunrise I see each morning, sun rises over the sea, lovely. I am going back to the docs again this Frid, doesnt matter what I take the pain in my side is still there and when I wake up my whole right pelvic area is aching, sleeping really badly because of it too. Also had that horrid feeling of food not going down and acid reflux, thats been going on for 2 weeks, need a full MOT! Cant think what she will do, feel they are all fed up of me, but can this all really be stress? Got Becca home today full of cold, so no trip to the pub! Just going to have another peep at our zipettes photo, aren`t the beautiful? Shabs got any new photos of Lew?

piximonkeyupatree · 29/09/2009 09:31

trips hope they sort something out soon. It could all be stress related and you've certainly had more than your fair share. I found a memoryfoam mattress topper put a stop to all my aches and pains in that area (spd related). Didn't coat an awful lot of money (about £50 for a kingsize) and meant the difference between getting any decent sleep or just tossing and turning trying to get comfortable.

Saying that I'm an insomniac so not best placed to offer much sleep advice. Dcs 1&2 have taken to coming down in the middle of the night to get into bed with me, I don't mind but worry about them falling on the stairs, combined with baby in the room I'm not getting much sleep even when I do eventually collapse into bed exhausted. I'm so looking forward to moving in a few weeks, dcs and I will all be sleeping on the same lvl of the house and I can relax about them getting in my bed in the morning.

estar · 29/09/2009 09:37

Riiight, so where do I get hold of these hookworms then??? Ewww, what a price to pay!!

curiosity, lol at chocolated coins - imaging your DS sucking on a chocolate-dipped 1p and giving it back to be dipped for the next time

lucya, hope you make it to the 38 weeks. I was in so much pain with my SPD and breathing difficulties that they induced me at 37 weeks. DT2 was fine but DT1 didn't have the sucking reflex yet and also had a bit of breathing trouble. I remember going up to the SCBU looking at him with a tube in his nose and thinking 'Why did I not just hang on for a couple more days?' He was fine four days later though

Of course, you can't help it if you produce them sooner - just want to give you something to focus on in your last few days of discomfort!!

Morning trips, hope you have a nice mother/daughter day with Becca, even if she is ill xx

jennyroper · 29/09/2009 10:26

hello everybody I haven't been on here for ages. Am back home in the UK with my ma and pa after flying from New Zealand to the UK with my 10 month old twins and 2 year old son without my husband. As you can imagine, the trip wasn't the most relaxing 26 hours I have ever spent but I LOVE being at home and bewing with my family. I have had 2 whole weekends away from all my children to see friends, go down to London, drink watermelon martinis and spend ages eating dinner in non-child friendly restaurants. Perfect.
Hope you are all well x

estar · 29/09/2009 10:36

Hi jenny - is this a permanent move back or a holiday? Is DH joining you? Sounds like you're making the most of having help on hand. Not jealous at all. No, no, not at all.
