Neddie · 06/02/2009 07:58

Good morning. it's snowing here in Wiltshire. I am nervous about the plane landing at Bristol tonight-plus getting there-it's about 1 1/2 hours from here.Still no bleeding and my tummy feels a little less bloated and uncomfortable than a few days ago. Must clean house today but just can't be arsed.

frumpygrumpy · 06/02/2009 08:53

Neddie, do you have to drive there? The main roads should be fine, just go slow and don't give a toss about others, they can go round you if they want to go faster. Whats your DP doing in Germany? My DP is working an hour outside Frankfurt atm.

Shabs, morning hen. I love that your are always in first to light the fires. Gwan, chuck in a couple of marshmallows for me Got a busy day with the builders (oo-er I wish) so best get my slack ass in the shower. DP is doing the school/nursery run!!! What a treat!

triplets · 06/02/2009 09:18

Oo Neddie, I need al the healing vibes you can muster please. Dh has bowel and liver cancer, stage 4, had bowel tumour removed, chemo, 3 lots of liver surgery, 3 weeks ago had 60 % of his liver removed and really has been in bed ever since. Lost my lovley Matthew 15 years ago, never will get over that. Have 11 yr old triplets, very hard work, and have IBS that I am so scared is going to be bowel cancer, so am back at the docs again next week for more reassurance I hope. Apart from that as everyone on here knows....................I`m fine
Got to run, its my mums b/day.

Neddie · 06/02/2009 09:27

My DP is near Hamburg-he is a Pharmaceuticals salesman. He's also German (ooh it's the accent). We fell in love on the internet and then in real life too. We are like the most slushy loved-up couple ever.We still say things like; I can't believe I met you. All the time! (pass the the sick bucket). He's interested in what I say and what I do and is the most hard-working person I've met. He wants to take care of me (unlike DX who couldn't give a toss!)and treats me like a princess. I wasn't really bothered about having more children but now I've met him- it's all changed. He's thrilled as he's never been married before (I feel quite honoured that i was the first person he'd ever asked!)
Anyhoo must get dressed.........

Neddie · 06/02/2009 09:30

Quick note to Trips- I am sending vibes to you and your hubby. Hope it has the same effect it had on my mum.

shabster · 06/02/2009 11:12

Morning Trips - glad to see that you are 'fine' - piggin' fibber xxxx

Hello to everyone, new and old .

Well bang went my NY resolution to post here more .

I've had one of 'those' fortnights! Dt2 seems to dislike her teeth and tried to remove some more with the help of a bench in the school playground (she lost four top ones in a similar way last year ). Cue visits to the dentist and casualty for a cut chin. Fortunately the tooth damage isn't as bad and they are still in place, although a little wobbly. The chin required 3 stitches and when the Practice Nurse removed them the cut was infected [bleurgh]. We've been to the surgery so many times for it to be dressed/change AB's etc that they must be sick of the sight of me!

I had a CRAFT moment (Can't Remember A F@@@ing Thing) and managed to delete nearly all my contacts off my mobile .

To top it all off I had a couple of scary moments driving today when the snow came down heavy, and I'm normally quite a confident driver .

Oh,and one more thing, I'm fairly certain my cat has gone blind and we may be facing the inevitable . She's 16 years old and the feline equivalent of a bag lady but I shall miss her.

Now I'm at whinging about that little lot as it's pretty trivial in comparison.

MERLYPUSS · 06/02/2009 19:43

Hi peeps. I am waiting for my chicken chasseur to cook and thought I'd post a quick hiya. Isaac had a big tea last night of mushy peas (though I'd give them a go as it's protein and he wont do meat ATM), spinach and pear squish from a jar and noodles. I put him to bed in my cub leader uniform (me not him) picked him up for a kiss and whoosh ! You can guess cant you? I looked like the incredible hulk and never did make it to cubs. That's the second week in a row. They'll be asking for their woggle back. The snow is all gone here. I was hoping that it would start again as we had such a nice time on Monday wizzing the kids around in a fruit box.

frumpygrumpy · 06/02/2009 21:48

Oh Merly, PMSL!!! You have described the epitome of motherhood and it made me smile. Slogging our guts out worrying over nutrition and health and bedtime kisses and rushing off to the next lot that want us and spinning the plates and .......you end up wearing peas. Bet they got in your bra too. xxxx

Neddie, is he home? Is it heaven? What a romantic story. Glad you guys have found each other, so meant!

piximon · 06/02/2009 22:06

I chickened out of driving lesson, it would only be my 3rd go behind a wheel and I just didn't feel ready. I have already had a go of night driving with my instructor, have to fit in lessons when I can, but watching dh completely unable to get our car off the drive this morning to take ds1 to school made me too nervous.

We did manage to get the car out this evening to get to Tesco but took us half an hour to get back into the drive using a snow shovel and blankets, it's a nightmare, although quite a lovely one.

We had much more snow last night and today than earlier in the week. I wrapped everyone up and sent them out to play while ds3 was having his nap. dts love it as long as someone holds their hands, they both had a fall over and then came in for warm milk.

MERLYPUSS · 06/02/2009 22:22

New photos on profile.
FG - plate spinning was deffo what it felt like. I had a 'Stuff other people's kids' moment and whereas I would've normally washed and chenged into jeans and rushed out for the last hour I thought sod it, showered, and ate chocolate.

frumpygrumpy · 06/02/2009 23:03

Merly, yes! This is good. Taking care of YOU! Just what I have been blabbing on about on email.....to poor pixi who has been listening to it Pixi, are you trying to join the Thelma & Louise clan that is Shabs and Trips? Mind you, not sure either of them can drive........ Another great film but not as light as Shirley Valentine

frumpygrumpy · 06/02/2009 23:03

Its funny how.........

When I was an ok weight I fancied the pants off Paolo Nutini.

And now I could do with trimming up a little, I fancy Tom Conti.

MMMMmmmmm. There is something in that.

frumpygrumpy · 06/02/2009 23:06

Merly handsome boys doll!!! xxx

MERLYPUSS · 06/02/2009 23:36

They are cute aren't they? Even the pea-puking one. Who is (shhhh - don't tell anyone) sleeping through. Thomas still wakes about 6 times a night and thinks 5am is just right to get up. Hmmm. When do they learn that weekend=lay in. Do they have to be alcohol fixated teenagers?

MERLYPUSS · 06/02/2009 23:37

Funny, FG. Now I am overweight I just fancy more chocolate! [grin} < that's me with my face stuffed full.

shabster · 07/02/2009 01:32

Frumpster I certainly cant drive, wont drive, not interested in driving....although I consume too much food, drink too much alcohol and have the occasional ciggy in the back yard. I start off with thoughts in my head of .....I wish I had done, if only I could....then I start reciting shite loads of lines from Shirley Valentine.

See you all in a few hours! xx

Just seen a few profiles, get to know you all and as usual just made things that much more complicated (harping back to the baby brain which I swear must hang around twice as long after twins) my excuse anyway and really pleased to see there's mums on here beat me hands down with their broods in both number and ages of offspring and looks like there are a lot of strong women on here.... bet there's advice in abundance

shabster · 07/02/2009 12:05

Oh aye we are all great with our advice - the majority of us dont listen to our own advice though
