trips, funny you should say that, I just got kippers from the fishman today! Delivered to my granny as its her favourite.

Excitement......that would mean doing something you don't normally......like visiting a MNer (Shabs), having a sneaky night away with H or a friend, something that involves as little responsibility as pos. I will think.........is H capable of having the kids for a day/night on his own?

triplets · 27/02/2009 22:47

Just about, though they drive him nuts I must say. I went to my friends last Weds, was out 3 whole hours, came back to bedlam! I`d like my kippers simply grilled please..............if its not too much trouble!

triplets · 27/02/2009 22:49

I`ve got a double whammy coming up, my birthday and mothers day same day! If H is not on chemo by then I would love a w/end away, trouble is as it is Mothers Day I always end up with my mother!

frumpygrumpy · 27/02/2009 22:52

would your mum be capable of babysitting for the day.....and H at night? That would give you a bit of time to play with.

triplets · 27/02/2009 22:57

My mother is 81, a fit 81 mind you, but she never looks after them, she would have Becca on her own, but couldn`t cope with the boys! They hate going to hers anyway as "there is nothing to do".

frumpygrumpy · 27/02/2009 23:14

Well I think you should meet up with shabs. How long is the train journey? Could you do the trip in one day/night? It would be a hoot! Shall I babysit?

triplets · 27/02/2009 23:16

Train to london x over then prob about another 4/5 hours..............Derkster would have a fit!

triplets · 27/02/2009 23:37

Off to bed I suppose, though really don`t feel tired, whats happened to radio Ga Ga these days? Night night FG XXX

TeaSleepFood · 28/02/2009 08:15

Morning!
HOw's everyone?
How's your son FG?
How was Lewis Shabs?

BOth DTs are now walking. Let the fun begin!

OH ladies, last night I had a swimsuit arrive in the post from Figleaves (get me!). It was a simple, black, bra-sized affair. How my DH laughed as I struggled to get the thing on past my knees! The problem is that I'm only a 32G! MY back is tiny but sadly my thighs and bumpy remains are no longer quite so small and petit.

Neddie · 28/02/2009 09:13

Trips You are welcome to bonnie Wiltshire anytime. My house is like the wreck of the Hesparus at the moment but you are still welcome. I rattle around it on my own.Sigh.
Next weekend though it will be DP home weekend after 3 weeks.
Hi everyone else.

shabster · 28/02/2009 09:49

Morning girls.

Teasleep - Lew was delicious - pulling himself up to standing on everything. Awww my lovely DIL has put on her Facebook status that she is dreading going back to work on Monday and doesn't want to leave Lew. Need to win the lotto tonight so she doesn't have to

neddie, what is your grand plan? Will DP be with you always once the DTs arrive or will he always be travelling? My DP travelled for the best part of 10 years and it had pros and cons.

Trips, I have never, ever minded doing stuff alone. I had my own flat for a while and I loved it! Would you consider booking yourself a pamper day at a local place and staying over? Ordering room service food and wine and a movie? Or.....who is your easiest MNer to visit? An overnight stay away from the tedium of everyday life and a giggle does wonders for the soul. You DESERVE it!!!

TSF, he's fine, totally fine. Who knows. He really was in an awful lot of discomfort and then it passed...... Nice cozzie

I just found some old camcorder tapes. We linked it up to the telly and watched. The kids were entranced, it was footage of when DD1 was wee and the DTs had just arrived. As jeez, it made me so enthralled. It all looks so calm and organised and easy!!!!!!! It was NOT at all how I felt or how it was, but on film........... So hilarious. And I was so THIN! I looked down at my body I now call my fatsuit and shuddered

Shabs, shame for Em (I would have cut my own legs off than go back to work) but at least it is only for a short time every day. She can collect him and head home for a lovely afternoon. And you can nap

RUBY HAWHEEHAW young laydee, you are looking fiiiiine tonight

shabster · 28/02/2009 19:19

Hiya Frumpster - I think that going back to work will be the best thing that could happen for Ems. Think it will also be good for Lewis and us!! Em is very, very good at her job and Im sure it will do her so much good to see the children again at the nursery. They all love her Lewis has been very clingy with her in the past so it will be good for him to realise that other people love him to bits and can look after him. Not saying we wont have 'teething problems' (in more ways than one ) but all will be well.

Danny also really needs her to go back financially. He has been working a lot of overtime and is cream crackered.

I asked Danny about the accountancy thing and he said he is doing the third year of his 'technician level of AAT'??????? Although judging by his handwriting when he wrote that down for me he should be training to be a Doctor

OP posts:
frumpygrumpy · 28/02/2009 19:27

at doctor! Shabs, that is like an old familiar language to me. So funny, I thought I'd forgotten it all. My DP is a CA, trained with the Scottish Institute (ICAS). I worked for the Scottish Institute and we had a few tutors who also did AAT training. Will his employers pay for him to go on to do further training after AAT? It would be magnificent if they would. I think its great. Its a hard slog doing all the training but so very worth it. You must be so proud of him. And he must be of himself too!

There are bound to be days when Em doesn't want to leave Lew.....if he's clingy or under the weather. But it will be good for her to feel responsible for something else for a while and to be respected for being her for a bit. I really hope this works out well. For all of you. We'll be standing by with cold cloths and gin for you

HarrogateMum · 28/02/2009 19:56

Good evening ladies. long time no see.

DH is away again - skiing. Back tomorrow night then away on business from Monday to Thursday. I took the DTs to their swimming lesson today, its about the 6th one they have been to. They are the worst behaved of all the kids, scream, punch the teacher etc, refuse to go in. Today DT1 sat on the side and wouldnt get in and DT2 went in after 10 minutes but squeezed the teachers thumb so hard that I think he drew blood.

Today DD did a poo on the carpet of the cottage we are staying in, this is in addition to the fact that she has drawn on every available surface, and the sofa and the carpet (bond, what bond?). Tonight DT1 broke the hoover in the cottage and then went upstairs and drew all over himself with my mascara (a gift - Clarins).

Yesterday I went home and the builders had cut up DD's bedroom carpet mistakenly thinking it was for the skip. It was only laid 2 years ago.

I kind of think I am the worlds worst mother and thats why they behave the way they do. How come all the other kids at swimming are good and do what the teacher says. How come mine are the screamers, screechers who just wont do what they are told. I talk to them and they ignore me completely. I feel like I'm in a black hole.

Night all.

shabster · 28/02/2009 21:45

HM - you thread killer you!!!

Frumpster - yes they will continue to pay for his training - thank God - He works for Salford Council (part of Greater Manchester council) and the only insist that he works for them for 2 years after he has finished his training.

Oh HM Im sorry I didnt read your post properly. My friend has been round to mine tonight and has just left. You are not a bad mum my darling. I can remember days (nay weeks!) like that when my children were little. Every day seems like an uphill struggle. Things will get better - I know they will. Sorry I made light of your post...my DS and my friends DS were fighting to get at the computer and I was very flippant with you. Hang in there my friend...it will improve.

Good night everybody, see you in the morning xx
