Hi Rubester.........no not sorted pressie out yet, thinking still of fishing stuff to get him back out there, good therapy for whats ahead. Yes we are hoping to get away, probably going to try to go back to the lodge we had in Norfolk, when we took my Mum for her 80th, this time no Mum though!

Try and find out some more info about the hotel, there are some big posh hotels right at the other end of Faliraki. If it is one of them I really am jealous - I have never seen it but we are creatures of habbit who just stay in the same sort of area. Faliraki is a big town.

shabster · 14/09/2008 10:57

triplets · 14/09/2008 11:19

One review says they are set back from Lindos to Rhodes road, 5 mins from Bar St?

trips, you could start a thread asking for a lovely MNer in the states to buy and post you an ipod...............might be a bit cheaper. Do it now well before Christmas.

My DP brought me one back from Hong Kong but all the instructions were in Chinese . In saying that we he worked it out and it is good.

frumpygrumpy · 14/09/2008 11:43

I think mine is a nano, the wee skinny thing (nice something I own is skinny ).

frumpygrumpy · 14/09/2008 11:44

H'lo Momma. I said H'LO MOMMA!!!! [deaf as a post on her ipod emoticon]

shabster · 14/09/2008 13:15

Trips - the road it is set back from is the main road but they are in a great location for a young couple!! Bit nearer the time I will email you a list of good places for them to go. I have never seen the hotel because the names are on the other side away from the main road. They certainly wont have far to go for a brilliant night out. Some lovely restaurants as well and not expensive. They are only about 10 minute stroll down bar street to the truly lovely beach.

I sound like piggin' Judith Chalmers!!

HarrogateMum · 14/09/2008 15:54

Just got back from my first competitive 10k run!! Did it in 1 hour 43 seconds...really wanted to do it in under an hour but hey ho, there is always next time!! Hope all well, off to put aching limbs in bath!

I am shattered. DD1's 4th birthday today so we went to Wookey Hole. The caves are gorgeous and we all had a great time. I thought dts might be nervous but they were fine. dt1 loved being back carried by me and snuggled up close on the low bits when we had to duck. dd1 was not impressed with the fairy garden however and kept asking where the real ones were.

Am now off for a long hot soak then snuggle up on the sofa with Will Smith Pursuit of Happiness.

Happy Birthday Fairy Pixi . Enjoy the Pursuit of Happiness Pixi - it made me cry .

HM - WOW. Well done you. Like Shabs, I would still be running . I am planning on starting to try and get a little bit fitter when the DTs are at nursery - starting with swimming once a week.

Momma, those muffins sound nice...I have a couple of over-ripe bananas I've been saving for just such a recipe - fancy posting it? I made gf apple crumble today with apples from our garden - it was v. yummy. We went to the park today as well - it was gloriously sunny, if not boiling hot. Still, makes a change from leaden skies and persistent rain .

I have my dad and his wife coming for lunch tomorrow. I always run out of things to say to them after about 20 mins and she always winces whenever the girls start talking in anything louder than a whisper (well slight exaggeration I suppose). Makes me really so where I might normally have asked them to keep it down a bit, I almost encourage them . Last time we saw them, my dad completely ignored the children and just talked to my SIL the whole time, while the girls bashed him on the back imploring him to play with them, or at least notice them. I was so - they make this big song and dance about seeing them and then don't take any notice of them. Anyway, I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. Can you tell .

accordiongirl · 14/09/2008 23:22

My uterus's ears are burning. Thanks to all of you. With your help I am really feeling the gratitude.

Had a nice day today, went to the Jewish music festival in Trafalgar Square, sun was shining, babies were shining, and the birds were singing in the trees.

Pink twin sat high on my back in the carrier listening to the music with her dolly, blue twin kept pointing fat finger at the sky and exclaiming "owduba owduba" at every escaped balloon, aeroplane and helicopter that went over (there were lots so he was very happy). Nice. Grateful.

shabster · 15/09/2008 07:04

Good morning girls - everybody happy?
