Shabs . That is a lot of weight to lose in such a short time. Do you feel all weak and dizzy or are you just chuffed at weight loss? Hope you are OK! Hope Em's new ADs do the trick.

Oooggs I did laugh at your comment. I remember chatting with you on here at that time, before my DTs were born, and you had said you had sold everything. Honestly honestly, unless we win the lottery I will not have more.

DTs are only sleeping through because we got a night nanny in to sleep train DD as she was waking everyone else up. It was the best money we ever spent (well apart from the doula of course!) DD normally sleeps 7-7 now but did wake up 4 times before 11 last night due to snottiness. DS2 is usually up just after 6am. They do sometimes shout in the night but we ignore them .

Happy birthday to Pixi . I think you are in fact very young aren't you?

Trips so glad H is making progress. It does make me when you refer to Gladys although am sure it is not actually something to smile about at all.

Merly we are going out as a couple on Saturday! Am so excited. Makes it more special when it is so darn rare!

DD screaming. Looks like naptime is over already . DS1 is hiding under a stack of cushions and has told me not to find him .

Momma, hope you are feeling a little less down in the dumps now .

Egg - I am delighted. I have been morbidly obese (according to my doc) since Matt was killed in 1992. I was 20 stone then and I am 13 stone now. Still obese cause I am only 4ft 11ins. This is the first time I have lost weight without all the dieting stuff - just been very busy and very active.

I dream of being under 10 stone!!

Just checking in from gorgeous house in Marseille. DD1 in pool with my friend's DD and pals. I'm really hoping that they click because it will be a miserable few days for her otherwise. Vineyard across the road, seafood just along the way what more could a woman ask for. Large screen tv for the Olympics, plenty of room to mooch in and not see people according to your preference.

So my darling Pixi... from my friend's lovely pad I have popped by to say Bon Anniversaire mon amie

Well... huge house, everyone seems to have an internet connected laptop... would've been rude not to say hi to my favourite ladies

Actually it's rather windy today so I'm going to watch some French tv and hope that it helps with my exam in September.

My only plans for this week are to eat cheese, pate and croissants and to drink copious amounts of wine by the pool. With the occasional "hi" to you all.

Momma... how you doing today?

Trips... great news about the chemo.

Has anyone managed to track down tripletandtwins and tigger recently? Throckenholt can often be found displaying her wares on other threads. Pazza's gone a bit quiet as have some of the newbies... but then it is the summer so maybe that's why. I hope they all come back soon.

Where's Charleymouse disappeared off to? OJ hasn't been by for weeks (she's abandoned us... sob) and Lydle must be busy.

Anyhoo... enough already. Let me go back to the rustic charms of this huge 3 storey farmhouse type house with its pool and cottage. In the words of the song on the Primary school thread: One love!

hey mars I just eaten 4 croissants, but no french cheese, pate or wine for me (mores the pity)

have a fab time

piximon · 15/08/2008 11:38

Morning all, thanks for the wishes. 32 today, not a grey hair in sight (blitzed them all with red hair dye a few days ago and had half of it hacked cut off yesterday). I feel all summery.

You'd think by my age I'd know better than to stick my hand into a can to clean it. But ds1 was waffling on and I wasn't paying attention. Been bleeding on everyone from my little pinky all morning.

Off to London soon. Got a huge bunch of flowers, card & balloon this morning sent from my (newly found) old best mate who I'm seeing in the morning. Think she's missed me!

DH forgot. Phoned me a little while back about something else and only remembered when prompted. Anyway I'll be back on when I have news.

Tigs is around on FB. Haven't heard from Doris, sent her a few texts but no reply. I'll dig out her address and send her a note to say we miss her.

Sorry I'm late !!!!! Was at the hosp this morning, draining twice a week now !!

Then had to pick up DD2's pottery that she painted for her birthday treat, but had to be fired.

Got home had some toast and about half a packet of party rings !!! that should really help with diet !!!

Momma, hope you feel better soon, i am organising wedding to and its manic !!!

helloooo to everyone else xxx

shabster · 15/08/2008 13:47

No change in Beth - but she had a blood transfusion yesterday. She has been very poorly since she was in her mums tummy and my lovely niece and her husband just get on with it - as well as looking after their other three children.

Wish there was a cure for her condition but there isn't - her chances of survival have always been very bleak.

Egg · 15/08/2008 13:55

Shabs in that case (referring to your earlier post) massive congrats on your weight loss! You must be chuffed!

Had not heard story of Beth . I presume she is your niece's little girl? How old?

Hello Lydle, how is your DD finding twice weekly hospital visits? Is she taking it all in her stride? Hope she is doing well.

Hello Charley, just had another look at your pics and saw some new ones . Your children are also gorgeous. I still smile and at the same time get teary seeing your two boys together in that picture.

charleymouse · 15/08/2008 14:38

You and me both Egg; you and me both, I don't know how I can feel so sad and so happy all at the same time.

Lydle sorry to not say hi earlier, don't forget party rings have no middle so aren't even really a full biscuit. The last few weeks you will so busy planning and fretting the weight will drop off trust me I'm not a doctor . Sorry to hear about your DD.

shabster · 15/08/2008 16:43

Beth is 3 and has Wolf Hirshhorns syndrome. She is mentally and physically handicapped. It is a complicated 'syndrome.' My niece, Shelley, has 3 other children - 2 boys and another girl, all under the age of 9. To begin with she used to say she was not very maternal but she does a truly fantastic job. I am so proud of her for her strength and drive.

Her dad (DH brother) died suddenly about 12 years ago at the age of 42 from a heart attack. I made a silent promise to him at his funeral to 'look out' for Shelley.

shabster · 15/08/2008 16:46

Ohhh Charley - no other words really apart from sending my love

oooggs · 15/08/2008 19:52
