had a CRAP time in ayrshire - it rained, nothing to do, I fell out with SIL (and therefore PILs) over parenting - this has been a long time coming, I have bitten my tongue so many times before, but I knew 3 full days would push me to the limit

so how are things here in the land of multiple madness?

Oh dingdong. I understand that feeling. And I can take a lot but when I go......I GO. TBH, if you've bitten your tongue until its blue then you needed the release. Its probably healthier for you in the long run. How did you DH take it all?

FG, glad the birthday went well. Have to say this coil is not doing me any great favours at the moment. Have had lots of 'spotting' and at least 3 periods since it was fitted in the middle of June. I'll persevere for the 6 months to see if it improves, but if it doesn't, DH is off for the snip .

I wouldn't normally do this, but this thread has had me in stitches - literally crying with laughter. If you haven't read it already, have a peek - I guarantee it will cheer you up .

This is how bad I am feeling, had an offer to go to see Mamma Mia tonight and declined!! Stress FG, stress. So fed up with all the blips, and now with their godmothers diagnosis.........................oh elp!! Mac nurse phoned to say oncologist doesn`t want to see H next week now as there is no chemo, so I am on here desperately looking for a mini break for next week, anything to get away...............must be back 10th at the latest and must be UK and cheap!

Trips, great idea. A break away WILL help. You are altogether and have to eat anyway and doing that away from home is always a bonus.

Trips, counselling is always a thought. Your stress is affecting you in a fairly big way. A very good counsellor will be able to help you compartmentalise (sp?) your worries so that you can see that you are not responsible for everyone's problems nor fixing everyone's problems. You are only responsible for empathising. You can empathise but not absorb and worry on their behalf in a certain amout of time. After that, you must be able to shut that door a little, and take care/worry about something else.

Think of it like the oxygen masks on an aeroplane. Why do you think they say you must put on your own mask first?

I know FG, but no time for counselling atm, just want to get on with this treatment, in the meantime I can`t find a holiday

Whats the budget? The dates? The musts and the must nots?

Someone find me a break please............somewhere peaceful..............where we can fish and watch the wildlife.................OMG that has just made me feel sooooooooooo old, at one time I would have said........somwhere I can dance and enjoy the nightlife! I think I might enter a convent...................
