Lovely pics Ooogs and Momma . What gorgeous children (and mummies!).

Tigs, you have been missed. Hope you're bouncing again soon.

FG, you know Mars will tell you to rant away cos that's what we're here for . I bought all my girls Baby Annabells for Xmas! They love them, but DH would rather I'd never put the batteries in. And if you've got the one that you feed water and then she cries, be warned, the water goes everywhere!

I am loving this weather . Lovely day at my friend's house - girls all played beautifully with her DS. DD1 is amazing - you'd never know she'd had an operation last Tuesday and the wound is so neat and small. She's quite proud of it, bless her .

Hearing you talk about passing on clothes etc has reminded me - I don't know if I've mentioned before, but I have loads of sleeping bags looking for good homes. Summer and winter weights, all in good nick - mainly girlie ones, but I do have a couple of more 'unisex' designs. If anyone's interested, let me know.

Mars have just texted you re this week.

X-posted with you Pixi. I went to an NCT sale last year and wish I'd taken a stall at the next one. It was absolutely rammed and there didn't seem to be any limit on what you could sell. Some stalls just had toys, some just had clothes, but lots had buggies, baby baths, all sorts of things. Well worth doing I reckon.

VaginaShmergina · 27/07/2008 21:50

pixi have done the nct circuit, love buying at them but processing the clothes so they look their best and labelling them became such a long drawn out process and the return was ok but I did better on ebay I have to say.

However I did have truck loads of stuff to re-wash and iron and then label. I borrowed 3 hanging rails from the charity shop down the road and filled them. I was top seller two sales running but it took a whole heap of work.

What about a garage sale ?

Car boots I find people are always knocking you down.

You have to price your clothes cheap with the NCT, as always in life people like a bargain and you dont want to be bringing home what you bought with you.

Top tip however, if your local NCT sale are looking for helpers, offer to help set up and run the sale, you get first choice on everything. Does mean you spend more than you make but I managed to get toys for indoors/outdoors and loads and loads of clothing.

MERLYPUSS · 27/07/2008 22:13

NCT sales have always done me a treat. I am planning on selling at the next one. The best stalls that I have seen labelled their clothes and put them in freezer bags. A pack of vests etc...

TKB - if you have a 9mth+ lightweight bag I would be willing to buy it from you for Isaac-wriggle-arse. Doesn't matter if it's a girly one - he wont know any different.

piximon · 27/07/2008 22:47

thanks girls, may contact them about a stall. I don't have any clothes to sell, more the bigger items: buggies/cots/etc. Shop could take 6mths.

Realised tonight that dts will shortly outgrow their cots. Will have to reshuffle beds when we move, buy ds1 & dd1 singles and new mattresses for dts to pee on use on toddler beds.

Today I introduced the dts to the delights of the potty. Dt1 loved it, carried it up and down the garden filling it with grass/toys etc and sitting on it so no one could touch her stuff.

Morning girls xx

shabster · 28/07/2008 08:39

I have a big 'treasure box' that I taped up and brought with us to the new house. Last night I sorted through it . Shouldnt have done that! Almost 300 cards from when Matt died and I had to do it, didn't I? I started to read them. Many from people I didn't know and the majority of them mentioning his smiley eyes! I didnt cry, well I shed a small tear and blamed it on watching Extreme Makeover at the same time!

Right down at the bottom I found a picture of the twins. They look so very funny. They have tiny tshirts on and some kind of knitted dungarees on must have been the fashion then because I remember thinking how wonderful they looked. They are holding on tight to their dummies. They have huge navy blue eyes, gingery hair and very serious looks on their faces.

Tom was fascinated by the picture as it was two 'copies' of Lewis. Sorry to go on and on

frumpygrumpyhasPMT · 28/07/2008 08:59

Shabs, and at your box. I keep stuff in a couple of boxes too. One from when I left home......I threw out most of my diaries with shame (after a boyfriend read one and ridiculed me) but if I find one, its funny and sad at the same time! The other one is mainly kid stuff. I used to be such a throwaway girl but I am horribly sentimental now.

I'm glad you found the photo.....another wee message from your boys I think, letting you know they are still there xxxxx. I can picture the dungarees

frumpygrumpyhasPMT · 28/07/2008 09:01

And could you all please budge up?

Can't you see the size of the f spots on my f chin. They need a couch of their very own. At this rate, I'll have to buy bigger birthday cakes.

frumpygrumpyhasPMT · 28/07/2008 09:01

I only said f* so much because it made Shabs snort and giggle. I like when she does that. Morning pinkfrog!

frumpygrumpyhasPMT · 28/07/2008 09:02

Tigs, I tried emailing you a few times on Saturday.........it failed....just like the message I get when I try Momma.

shabster · 28/07/2008 09:14

Morning frumpster - pink frog here!! I do like it when you say THAT word! The person who is the funniest when she swears is definitly Trips....she is so well spoken but I have heard her say 'fiddlesticks' now and then. Oh yes....where the fiddlesticks is that Trips woman. Get your bum back here me owd mucker I miss you xxxxx

shabster · 28/07/2008 09:29

Frumpster - do you think the failed emails have anything to do with the fact that you have to cross many time zones from the top of the UK to the bottom? Maybe it would help if you put your passport number on or something

Darn sarff is a long, long way from me and thee!!

shabster · 28/07/2008 11:17

Have put a pic on my profile of a young lad we met in Faliraki last year. He was born with the same heart condition as Gareth but had the operation, and is now fighting fit! He said to me 'because you allowed your son to have a post mortem the doctors learnt from his heart problem and managed to operate on me - your son and other children have given the doctors knowledge and me my life.' Lovely words from a smashing young lad.

MarsLady · 28/07/2008 12:23

I'm doing my best to upload pictures of my DC but it keeps rejecting the pic of DD1. Hmm... will keep trying!
