estar!! Why your house must be spanking clean! 300 threads in your abscence......

Triplets, we are twins . I have been having eye problems for a month or two. Awful with contacts in but not much better without them. Sore, puffy, red rimmed. Not conjunctivitis though. I also felt I had gritty eyes last night. Rubbed hard enough to make my eye bags look like suitcases and today I am puffy eyed too!!!! My left one looks like I was punched actually

Tigs, not the best day to take a photo, even with a mask on, I'm sure you can see my eye bags

Momma, tis lovely to be wanted! Email me and I will furnish you with my number......or I hereby give permission for Mars to pass it to you. I only do talking in emergencies [scaredy wombat]

I read an extract from Eric Clapton's book lately. In it he was talking about his son dying and his drink problem. At an AA meeting he said his son's death gave him more reason to stay sober. To do that one last thing for him. A woman said with those words he had just taken away her last excuse to have a drink. That if he could suffer that pain and not reach for a glass, then she had no excuses left. You have to go all the way down to get back up I think.

I'm having a meltdown day! I have a lot to do these next two weeks (putting myself under pressure I shouldn't) and I can't fit it all in. The children are bonkers atm too and the shouting and tantrums are just soul destroying. I don't know where I went wrong. DD1 was such an angel child......but then she was our only one then.......

and I have my first counselling session tomorrow [fruitbat][nervous] [screwed]. I will try to splurge out all my freak truths and see if I can't put my head back into the shape it should be. Needless to say I feel sick about that.

Right. This ain't solving anything. I must go an poke Mars with a big stick.

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 20/04/2008 11:49

Triplets, if you can, try to look at tomorrow as the first day of getting better. Thats what I'm tring to do. xxxxxx

HarrogateMum · 20/04/2008 13:06

good luck tomorrow FG, you will be fine. And welcome back Estar - Chops was wondering if you are still up for the meet up?

I have been very virtuous this morning, out for a run - got a 1 year old's birthday party later this afternoon so will probably undo it all with cake and jelly etc!

shabster · 20/04/2008 13:22

Yeeeeeaaaahhhh My D firstborn and his DP are coming round for their Sunday lunch. They dont live very far away but they both work full time and we dont see enough of them.

He just rang 'Mam is it ok if me and Em come to watch the football (Man City are on tv) and......' 'Do you want your dinner as well love?' 'Oh yes please Mam I was hoping you would ask!!'

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 20/04/2008 14:22

Shabs, sounds heaven! Do you have a bigarsepudding as well? No family meal is complete without a bigarsepudding. Trifle is usually my best bigarsepudding.

D'y ever wonder how many times you can say bigarsepudding? Its a lovely word. I made it myself.

estar · 20/04/2008 14:25

Shabs, I love it when you talk about your boys. That's what I want in the future - a growing extended family and my boys just popping in for Sunday lunch (not that I ever cook it, mind you, that's DHs department). And Tom makes me laugh so much.

Anyway - my questions - Pixi, LG&T, Trips?

Ooo, and I been to Disneyland! Kids under seven went free - mwah ha ha ha ha!

iamdingdong · 20/04/2008 14:28

hello ladies (and I use that term in its loosest possible meaning ) having quite a nice day today, up late, went to the gym, came home, made lasagne, drank wine, DTs have played beautifully together and are now watching the wizard of woz however, ever silver lining has a cloud, back to work tomorrow still, bank hol again soon isn't it?

iamdingdong · 20/04/2008 14:29

estar, tell me about disneyland, we're going in august, DTs are already overexcited I've been with teenagers before (school trip) but how will 4 yo legs cope?

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 20/04/2008 14:29

LG&T had a bit of sad news about her DD. Her thread is here

Pixi's angel might be called Prince Pixi, failing that we will launch a competition to design him a sign

Trips darling husband goes into hospital tomorrow for his first stage of treatment.

There. Did I do ok?

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 20/04/2008 14:31

dingdong, they played beautifully together???????

iamdingdong · 20/04/2008 14:32

FG good luck tomorrow lovely, it is so the right thing to do, you won't regret it, not in the long term anyway, but there may be a can of worms there you'd rather not open - better out than in though, you don't want them eating away at you from the inside

iamdingdong · 20/04/2008 14:35

I know FG, fab isn't it? They do it quite alot now, get up in the morning no earlier than 7.30 on a weekend/day off (they have been trained to recognise this time and no other!) then go and play together for an hour or so before demanding breakfast, then play hotels, restaurants, harry potter, cinderella or whatever takes their bizarre 4 yo fancy - it makes me really glad to have twins

merci mon amis x.

tkband3 · 20/04/2008 15:00

Isn't it great dingdong? Mine have been playing together beautifully all day as well . Their favourite game at the moment is 'High School Musical' - they decide who is who and then act out the dances...it's a joy to watch . Mind you, could be something to do with my new '10p sticker chart' where they earn 10p for each sticker and will be taken to buy whatever they want next weekend . Not sure if it's too soon to start pocket money, but if the result is good behaviour...They are now dancing to Take That!

FG and Trips, will be thinking of you both tomorrow.

Estar, good to see you back. Sounds like RL was quite fun .

We're invited to a friend's for roast this afternoon, so I have eaten nothing but fruit and yogurt today, in anticipation of yummy tea and bigarsepudding .

TiggerTonkerTruck · 20/04/2008 15:18

Forgot to say good luck FG with the Head Investigator tomorrow, I hope it all goes well for you .x.xx.x.x.

shabster · 20/04/2008 16:03

Come on Man City!!

Kick Portsmouths butt - oh I am sorry and its Sunday as well.

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 20/04/2008 16:07

Ta Tigs

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 20/04/2008 16:16

Advice please........

My DD1 has been getting little blackheads on her nose. Now she's got little yellowheads too. I could throw myself on the ground and WAIL. She's only just turned 7 at the end of Jan. I reckon this is a hormonal change and I'm wondering if it means puberty is coming early for us?

(she is fairly tall/big for her age. The girls in her class are all turning 8 and she is the tallest, has a lovely shape, certainly not skin and bones but not a bit of fat on her either)

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 20/04/2008 16:19

Oh I need to get busy. I am burying my head in the sand and hiding on here. I have MIL, FIL, SIL and another relative coming for dinner tomorrow. I am dreading it. My MIL rubs me up the wrong way (to be polite). Sharing room space takes a lot of energy on my part.

I need to be tidying and clearing and making beautiful good. I want to be sitting with a mug of tea and planning what I want to say tomorrow.

Lots of love Frustrated from Edinburgh x.

p.s. save me the bigarsepudding please!

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 20/04/2008 16:26
TiggerTonkerTruck · 20/04/2008 16:33

Sorry FG, I only 'do' up to the age of five
have you tried little lotions and potions for her? Some of them are really trendy so she might enjoy pampering herself. My friends little girl has one of those face sauna things
I'm guessing it probably is the dreaded hormones

Oven!!! Tatties need turning. How many for roast?

snorris · 20/04/2008 16:36

Hello!
I have been very naughty . I've been on a 12 mile sponsored ride (turned into about 15 miles due to getting lost the detour we took). I didn't tell my riding companions until after we'd set off (one is an A&E nurse). Boy,was I in trouble

Egg-I'm sorry but I didn't actually deny it .

TiggerTonkerTruck · 20/04/2008 16:37

Snorris!!!! Aren't you meant to be tucked up in lots of cotton wool and placed in a box on the 'high shelf' for nine months?
