Going to strip and decorate the piggin' nursery. Lew wont know or care for at least four years - it would be easier if they just moved house in a couple of years. I HATE decorating......

iamdingdong · 26/04/2008 11:34

no HM I'm convinced I can't be, the symptoms must be coincidental, if however it turns out I'm wrong you guys will probably be the first to know

Have a lovely night away HM

Afternoon everyone! Having been kindly invited to your huge thread I must take advantage of having the wisdom of other triplet mums!!! I found out on Tuesday that me and my partner are expecting triplets in Sep. and have been in a state of shock since!

Main concerns are housing as we are currently in a 1 bedroom apartment on the second floor! Okay for a while with one, but three?! We are very low income so finding somewhere new to live within a few months is gonna be a nightmare. I'm also fretting about money which is pretty scarce as it is!

I just to keep telling myself that it will all work out and in a years time i'll wonder what all the fuss was about!

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 26/04/2008 15:01

how did your early pregnancy with DTs compare to your early pregnancy with your singleton?

TiggerTonkerTruck · 26/04/2008 15:02

TimesofHope...welcome!!! So glad you made it over
Don't worry there are lots of weird kind ladies on this thread that should be able to reassure you over most things or at least make you be able to laugh about it all
As you know I have five year old triplets and we are also on a very low income.

Are you able to put your name on the Housing Association list?
Have you had a chat with anyone i.e citizens advice?
A good place to go would be one of your local Sure Start centres if you have one, they will be full of ideas and very helpful.

When the babies are here you can apply for lots of things to help you such as I had a washing machine bought for me(£400) so I could have one of those huge ones!!! Students will be jumping to help you for experience and again sure start or family centres off a lot of help so on the practical side try not to worry too much(although you will, like I did!! )

The worst bit is the not knowing how you will cope, but you will and once they are here it will all fall into place

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 26/04/2008 15:07

Timesofhope, congratulations!!! Wow, big news to take in. It took me until my twins were 6 months to stop saying "OHMYGOD there's two

Tigs/Triplet Em/TiggerTonkaTruck has triplets and she will be best placed to talk you through it......I'm sure she will be along very, very soon.

Triplets and Tripletsandtwins also have triplets although you could never work that out from their names Both are under a bit of pressure atm so they might not be along straight away.

It is a lot of work (and I haven't had triplets, just a daughter plus twins) but is is also bloody lovely and special. I would like to think that when the news spread about your pregnancy, people will pop up all over the place in your life offering bits and pieces of equipment and clothes etc.

Stick with us, we can support you and we always have cake and booze and tissues

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 26/04/2008 15:08

She came, she saw, she posted

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 26/04/2008 15:11

Do you have a local college? As Em says, often the girls doing nursery nurse courses can do work placements with you. You must always be with them but the experience for them is great and the extra hands for you is even better.

TiggerTonkerTruck · 26/04/2008 15:11
