fg, don't tell anyone, but I am feeling quite broody at the moment I didn't think I ever would again, but it has crept up on me over the last couple of weeks

shabster · 23/04/2008 20:41

Frumpster - you know me TOO well!!! I am going to try and put his pic on my profile!!
Well he is younger than my eldest son!

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 23/04/2008 20:42

I would never tell a living soul.

how broody? Broody enough to dream ahead in real time and make a nearly plan? Or just dreamy broody?

Personally, I am still making a nearly plan. Have to get the head fixed first. Then, if dry land stays stable.........

frumpygrumpyhasnofaceon · 23/04/2008 20:43

And did you get my update on today?

iamdingdong · 23/04/2008 20:45

oh yes I did, sorry , where are my manners, thank you very much for the update and estar thank you for the disney tips you posted a while back, much appreciated, I am really looking forward to it

yes fg, broody enough to dream not broody enough to plan...yet

Get to bed my little Chickdora,no telly,no book, just sleep.

Take these. I found them in Hoochies old jacket that she wore to a music festival many moons ago....something about holding onto the grass to stop herself falling off of the world

Now in you get Madame and I shall bring your tea in the morning. Leave your flip flops by the bed

triplets · 23/04/2008 22:38

Shabby.........please dont be poorly, we cannot do without you xxx Sorry I have not had a single minute to get on here, was hoping for a little tray of nibbles or nuts and large glass of vino as I am worn out...........just had a fried egg sandwich and a cup of tea, first since mid day! I went over to see H this afternoon, though he phoned me for 15 mins this morning! He is still in ITU as, guess what they cannot find him a bed in the surgical ward!! They are very pleased with him, but as yet have not had him out of bed, this is because he has an epidural in his back for pain relief and he cant feel his legs! He looked so well, amazing and if he didnt have al the lines and bits in him you would never know, and he was in good spirit. The consultant he performed the surgery had a talk with him this morning. He said the reason the op took far longer than expected was he had trouble getting into the site, he said Harry has a small pelvis!! They also had to go in higher, but have removed the tumour and been able to rejoin the bowel, but also decided to put in a temp stoma from the small intestine to give the join the chance to heal without risk of infection. So all that went well. The only bit of worrying news that has really worried me and of course H is he told him that whilst they were looking they had a good look at the liver. There are three lesions as he said, but it seems that two are small, and one is a lump the size of a walnut, did not want to hear that. He has said that the treatment plan should still be the same, chemo after this, surgery to the liver around Oct and 3 months further chemo. He said hopefuly that will be the end of the road and he should be ok. Harry said "you mean cured", he said, "no, not cured but treated, we talk in terms of this being treatable, there is a difference". So.....I wont be able to take the kids over until he is out of ITU, and has some of the lines etc taken away, they have been soooooooooooo naughty tonight, but I have sepnt no time with them really since Mon and this phone will want grafting off my ear, it rang until midnight last night and until 10pm tonight! I will go over tomorrow and keep you posted, but a big big thank you for all your love xxxx

Triplets - hope you don't mind me butting in on this thread, we don't "know" each other but I just wanted to post something to say that I am so sorry to learn about your DH and just hope he continues to respond to the treatment and that the outcome is as good as it can be at the end of the final chemo.

My DH went to Barts in London in Jan 07 suffering from Leukaemia and had to have 4 cycles of chemo. He responded well and is now "in remission". We are staying positive but in my heart I know (read too many Cancerbacup booklets) that DH could have a relapse. We've just got through a horrendous year where our lives were dominated by hospitals and illnesses, which no-one would wish on their worst enemy.

Anyway just wanted to say that I can understand a little of what you're going through. I'll be thinking of you and watching this thread for news of your DH's progress.
