Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!

Lots of love Mrs Mel Gibson William Wallace

Hi,
Just posted to dear LG&T, oh what is happening to us all? Poor poor thing, she must have been scared sick, I am so relieved it is nothing worse, I was dreading looking. I had to get out of here tonight, went along to a friends at 9.3pm after I put the kids to bed. By 8pm I though I was going to have a panic attack, every bone in my body was hurting, felt hot, palpatations, felt sick and felt very very scared. Took a diazapam, kept for emergencies and went out, just had to get out of here. After a long talk, and no drink(not offered!) I do feel a little better. Harry will be furious with me though for staying up so late, but lately I cannot go to sleep until I feel exhausted. I am going to have to sort myself out, this is not going to help anybody, but I just am so scared, don`t want this horrible monster in my house, my family, just want us to be normal, happy, not sick with worry. Sorry girls, feeling sorry for myself and fed up.

MarsLady · 02/04/2008 05:21

trips my angel... the reason that we are here is to lean on each other, good or bad! I'm not surprised you feel the way that you do. It has been an incredibly hard few months for you. To not feel crushed by it all would mean that you were less than human. I'm sorry that I can't take it all away from you and make it better. I think that all of us would do that if we could. So... you rant, unleash, let loose etc.

Me... I'm in need of some hugs tonight. Just had the husband of a client shout down the phone at me causing me to lose the ability to sleep tonight. Sadly I wasn't able to provide him with instanteous answers and he has a mate that knows far more than I do. So I've decided to leave him to his mate. I must be over tired because it has wound me up as tight as a spring and here I am an hour later posting. Thank goodness I know that the work I do is worth more than his verbal abuse.

Nothing compared to what you and LG&T and others have going on but I feel marginally better for having put it down in writing. Though I will have puffy eyes in the morning!

shabster · 02/04/2008 07:17

Morning ladies. Mars 'illigitimus non tatum carborundum' think thats right - that was on a poster we used to have hung on the wall in the pub we used to manage. Hoping it means 'dont let the bastards people get you down.' Deep breathing and nice thoughts.

Trips - me and you both last night love. Although I think my nervy night was because I havent partaken of the apple juice for 3 nights. OMG 'my name is Shabba and Im an alcoholic!!!' Got to get my act together before our Lewis gets here and I have been drinking too much - again!!

Anybody rings the NSPCC on behalf of Tomster after reading that and I will get you at playtime

Morning ladies - how's your bellys for spots??

shabster · 02/04/2008 07:38

Tomster (and his classmates) are off to Llandudno today. Something to do with Geography project!! Just know it cost me £10 for the trip. On the form it says voluntary contributions of £10. Just found out that only a few of us have actually paid. We live on piggin benefits and it was a lot of money to us.

Just put his spending money in an envelope for him and wrote on the front Matthew H - now having a bit of a moment and wondering why I have written Matts name on??

ChopsTheDuck · 02/04/2008 08:04

Sounds like Matthew is looking over your shoulder, shabs!

morning everyone. ds1 is sick today. He looks like crap, but I can't pinpoint anything exactly that is wrong with him. I have a feeling that he is worried about school.

ChopsTheDuck · 02/04/2008 08:05

mars, hope you are feeling better this morning. Late at night these things always seem worse, and you know you are worth more than that.

trips, did you get to sleep?

frumpygrumpy · 02/04/2008 09:12

Mars what a horible man! You probably felt he was unjustified and that makes you want to put them straight but you can't at 4am...... Hope you got some sleep.

Triplets, you are still working it all out in your mind. Once treatment begins and you have some sort of a routine, you might feel better because then you will be active in your fight. There is still a bit of you that is not in control of it which can make you feel overcome. You wait until you are empowered! It will run and hide!

Shabster, I haven't had a even a dribble of wine since just before I came down with flu. I needed the break and I am, in a way, glad that I still feel rubbish as it is bound to be doing me good. I might try to cut it out, I've been using it to hold me up.....its time I grew up a little I think and faced what it is that haunts me. Do it, its just a crutch. Lewis will be as pure as the driven snow, don't breath fumes on him. I will if you will.

Funny you should write Matts name, I agree with Kelly, he must be going on the trip too! Keeping an eye out on your behalf......

morning ladies I seem to have tonsilitis seeing doc in a bit but throat feels like it has a barbed wire clamp round it, can't sleep, eat or drink really on the plus side I get a day off work to catch with you lot

Egg · 02/04/2008 09:31

LG&T, have just posted on your thread but also wanted to echo what triplets said that I was thinking it could be so much worse and wa so relieved to see it was not life threatening. So much sad news from the multi mums lately, thank heavens for the MN support.

frumpygrumpy · 02/04/2008 09:34

dingdong, I am a tonsil sufferer, my sympathies!! Painful!

Egg, its funny, we used to post stuff like, "OMG, you should see what the DTs have done", now its all about us!! It will ebb and flow......

OP posts:
iamdingdong · 02/04/2008 09:40

oh its awful isn;t it fg? nothing will take the pain away, not even ibuprofen and paracetemol taken at the same time, along with an anaesthetic strepsil nothing tastes nice, even yoghurt scratches

oooggs · 02/04/2008 09:55

dingdong - hope you feel better soon

fg - hope you do too

triplets - neverending isn't it

shabs - hope Tom enjoys his day

mars - nasty man you are better than that

LG&T - have been thinking about you and dd in the night (I couldn't sleep either)

well all dcs in nursery and I am at home on my own (dts 1st day) I start back at work 2 weeks today

piximon · 02/04/2008 09:59

Oh girls, what's happening to us at the moment. Surely we're in line for a run of good luck soon.

Feel so useless that I can't do more to help you all. Glad that LG&Ts DD condition is not life threatening but still so sad for her having to go through all this.

Triplets you are rarely out of my thoughts, your post about your holiday reduced me to tears. So nice when people do things to help rather than trying to eek every penny out of you and small kindnesses make such a difference.

Mars, can't believe someone phoned you in the middle of the night to have a go at you of all people. FFS if the stoopid twit only knew what I'd give to have you here right now.

Had a bit of a show last night, bit more this morning. My mum helped me out with the school run, pushed the buggy through the park then rushed off to work. Managed to remember lunch tickets for rest of week, snacks, boots for school trip tomorrow (just in case) etc.

DS1 has been complaining about some of the children and how they treat him, coming home with marks on his clothes and skinned knees/elbows. I spoke to the supply teacher a few times but no change. Today I watched them chasing him round with hoola hoops trying to catch him so of course he falls over. His teacher is now back from leave so I spoke to her and hopefully she'll do something about it. Also told off a boy (one of the ones he has a problem with) for hitting DS1 on the head. Actually the mood I'm in I could have walloped the little but I managed not to .

DT2 has terrible constipation. Need an instant cure before having to trundle him off to GP as I can't seem to get him to shift it with extra fruit/drinks.

oooggs · 02/04/2008 10:02

tried prune juice pixi?

things could be very soon then - take care of yourself - hard I know when you have your hands full

iamdingdong · 02/04/2008 10:04

fingers crossed for you pixi try kiwi fruit for constipation if you have some in

oooggs enjoy your day home alone

shabster · 02/04/2008 10:07

Pixie - hiya honey

I hate other folks kids!!! Especially those in the playground

I listened to Tomster having a row, this morning, with a particularly 'orrible one in his year.

Toms closing line was 'You need to get a life you umpalumpa (CChocFactory??) - dont start with me, grow up!! None of my other boys have ever stuck up for themselves and he makes me lol when he gets going.

Must have been the menopausal path I had just started going down when I conceived him! Have noticed he gets very hot and has mood swings -

ChopsTheDuck · 02/04/2008 10:09

semolina with pureed prunes always worked a treat on mine.

shabster · 02/04/2008 10:25

Chops - NOOOOOOOO - Step away from the frogspawn. Semolina is the devils work

Now you have sent me, in the tardis, to primary school dinners.

Semolina is wrong!!!!

ChopsTheDuck · 02/04/2008 10:57

I never had school dinners, so I LOVE semolina. Mine doesn't look like frgspawn though.

largeginandtonic · 02/04/2008 11:19

Frogspawn is Tapioca, also delicious.

I am not here btw, my head is down a toilet where i keep throwing up. Just had to take the crazy loo freshner thing out as it is making me worse (you know the thing oyu get that sits on the rim)

Pixi a show! Keep the dts close they can help. When i had dd i couldnt get hold of anyone and the dts (20 months) were unpacking the bag for the midwife. Very helpful

shabster · 02/04/2008 11:23

G&T - hiya cocker! Frogspawn, semolina, tapioca, cous cous, its all the same

Get your head out of that loo - lady jane!

Right my lovlies - its mine and DH big romantic date of the week - we are off to the ASDA's - back in a bit xxxxxxxxx

TiggerToTheMax · 02/04/2008 11:35

Morning all

Shabs I feel the turn up of Matt might be my fault Did you get my e-card?
Tom will love his day,we used to go there on holiday, lovely place.

OH MY GOD PIXI. I was dreaming about you all last night You went into hospital and let me look after the twins I took them into Heavitree in this awful run-away-buggy then realised I hadn't put a coat on themso I wrapped them up in dolls blankets that were at the bottom of the pram Then I bumped into you and we took them back to my house and guess what pixi? You had gievn birth to...wait for it.....TWO KITTENS!!!!!!!!
We were lying on the floor smoothing them saying how beautiful they were and I was congratulating you on the birth of your kittens. PMSL PMSL
The best bit was when I woke up and scared the poop out of DH by sitting up in bed shouting "Pixi's having the babies NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!"
I am exhausted
I have no blardy text on my phone as usual so we will have to be brave and use 'big' phone

Mars....what a prat I hope your day goes better.

LGAT and Triplets lots of love to you both.

Now please, please, think of me at 12.40pm very small problem I have the dentist and I feel sick already. Send me good vibes!!!

piximon · 02/04/2008 12:27

Hurrah, rhubarb with porridge for breakfast cleared his blockage (sorry if TMI) and I've had smiles from DT2 today, first for two days. Poor little fella had been in agony so I'm happy something finally worked.

Still nothing much happening here so I've put a LDC in the oven and my cousin from Oz called for a long chat.

Really glad I went to the hospital on Monday night as the midwife called today to cancel my appt because of bad results and wanted me to go in today for more tests, which would mean having to arrange childcare etc. When I said I'd already had them the other night she said stay home and I'll see you this afternoon.

LG&T, thank you for finding a minute to think of me, with everything else going on in your life it means a lot.

Tigger - maybe you're picking up on my stress over re-homing my cats (my aunt has taken them in pending us buying somewhere or someone else taking one). DH is bringing over garden toys when he comes next so any visiting DCs will have stuff to do outside over the next few weeks.

Chops - Did DS1 stay home today?

Wish I had some semolina in. I used to love my primary school dinners, still love that sort of food now, crumble and custard, rice pudding, fruit and semolina. Ok I loved the puddings, didn't mind the dinners either though, sausages and mash, pie and mash, fish and chips....I'm making myself really hungry.

piximon · 02/04/2008 12:38

if someone had told me midwives in Devon did home visits I'd have moved years ago. Even when having DTs I had to do 25min walk to clinic every week.
