Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!

Lots of love Mrs Mel Gibson William Wallace

Shabby's eldest DC is 26!! (I think)

Egg · 09/04/2008 16:34

Well that's more than ten years gap!

Ruby has an older one too, as well as the other ones who are 10 and under. I think you are right, I think it is Ruby.

More interesting if it is Shabs though!!!

PazzaPlusTwo · 09/04/2008 16:38

Shabs 'approaching 40'? From which side?!

Egg · 09/04/2008 16:43

Shabs will kill us when she sees us chatting about her .

I think in all honestly, looking at the clues, that is must be Rubes. Everyone else is either too young or DC too young...

Congrats then Rubester!!!!

PazzaPlusTwo · 09/04/2008 16:46

What about FG? OR HarrogateMum?

Egg · 09/04/2008 16:54

Hmmm, well neither of them have posted as themselves today. Would be hard to post as toosoontotell but resist posting as themselves as well.

Just looked further down thread. Saw Ruby emphatically saying it wasn't her .

Back to Mars then .

PazzaPlusTwo · 09/04/2008 16:56

Rubes' DS1 is at uni so unless he is a VERY precocious 10-year-old ... !!!

Egg · 09/04/2008 16:59

Think she has a 10 year old too...

The mystery lady said something like "there will be more than ten years between oldest DC and this one" or something, so could be much more .

Sad that i have nothing better to do than puzzle this one over . I am breaking off ever so often to race DS1 up and down in his car...

PazzaPlusTwo · 09/04/2008 16:59

do you think TSTT is reading and laughing at us?

PazzaPlusTwo · 09/04/2008 17:01

LG&T's DTs are 9!

could she be on for lucky number 7??

Egg · 09/04/2008 17:03

Well LG&T was TTC, but I know she was as AF had come and I don't think that was as much as a month ago. Also she denied it further down as she is only 30...

PazzaPlusTwo · 09/04/2008 17:03

Egg · 09/04/2008 17:14

Right...

Chops is too young.

DingDong is just about old enough, but DTs are too young.

Egg · 09/04/2008 17:17

Egg · 09/04/2008 17:18

oh yeah I have a dilemma maybe you can help with ...

DH would like to invite his parents, bro, SIL and 7-year old nephew over from Germany all at once for a weekend, once the DTs are born. (His dad has got cancer and quite likely not long to live and they would like to get all the family together, we don't know how long it will be before we can take the DTs to Germany). We have a 4-bed flat which in theory we can fit everyone (9 people incl DTs!!!) in to sleep, but living room is smallish, no dining table, not enough seats to go round, one bog, one shower, small kitchen...

I don't wanna be mean, but I am mortified by even the idea of it. AIBU or is he crazy??

How did you find receiving visitors in the first few weeks after your DTs were born? Would it be best to just say 'no way, they need to stay in a hotel' (none of us has spare cash for that tho) or say 'OK but not before X time after the DTs are here and we're settled'.

help!?

Egg · 09/04/2008 17:18

Think I had better turn off my PC .

Egg · 09/04/2008 17:26

Sorry PP2 that last msg from me was cos I was posting away endlessly, not cos of your post...

I have not minded visitors so much this time (with DTs) but would have minded with DS1 a lot more (am more relaxed this time). However, I have had my sis and 3 kids to stay, my parents, and my in laws since DTs were born, but NOT ALL AT ONE. It might be quite trying and hard on you. Basically whenever anyone has come to stay, I have said it is ok, but they will prob have to cook or help cook evening meal as I am busy with DCs. If you think you will get enough help from them and you feel ok about it then fine, but I think it could send you over the edge!!!!

Trouble is, with FIL being unwell, it is harder to say no. Could you maybe have just the inlaws at your house, and the others stay nearby? Thus more bearable?
