Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!

Lots of love Mrs Mel Gibson William Wallace

Esay birth vibes for Pixi, she so deserves a lovely quick one with a tiny headed baby Glad she has momma and Tiggs near with her.

Momma i am so sorry about your counsin You poor auntie and Nnana too. Lots of love to you. xxx

I am a bit better this morning, going girly shopping after school today with her I feel much better now that i know there is something there, that sounds bad, it's just i have always worried and struggled with her and never been sure why. I had assumed it was because she was a girl and have (dare i say it) feared having another girl because of her I think it was really a nagging doubt in my mind that has caused the difficulties in our relationship. I am ready to let go of all that and conentrate on her gorgeous self as she is now. That also sounds bad i think. Oh it is so difficult to explain.

I put new pics of her and the dts on my profile

shabster · 04/04/2008 08:20

Morning G&T - it will be ok love, deep breathing, nice thoughts....breathe in, and out and in and out - OMG I've made myself dizzy now!!!

DS4 caused my relationship lots of probs. I had really 'given my notice in with re: to further children.' He was a total shock and took quite some getting used to. Dont get me wrong I love him with all my heart BUT DS1 and I were planning to run away and DS4's arrival meant we put the suitcases back in the cupboard!!!

t'will be ok - that I am sure

ChopsTheDuck · 04/04/2008 08:26

is pixi now plus one then? Someone must know! Poor girl though, it must really hurt. Wish I was close enough to visit.

Sorry to hear about your cousin, momma.

I have to start potty training dt2 now. Really need to get him going, he is three now, but seems very disinterested. Today he is in pullups, tomo the nappy is OFF!
I don't know what I am doing today. I've written in my diary early finish for school and mufti day. But I have no idea WHICH school! I've got both the kids packing clohtes and will have to change them int he car if it is mufti!

ChopsTheDuck · 04/04/2008 08:31

LGT, that doesn't sound bad at all. Getting a dx does bring such mixed emotions, between needing answers and not wanting anything to be wrong. It is a relief to understand a reason why and now you can focus on getting her help and support. Things will be so much better now. Have fun shopping!

ChopsTheDuck · 04/04/2008 08:34

goegeous photos too!

TiggerToTheMax · 04/04/2008 08:38

Snorris I have left you an FB message

snorris · 04/04/2008 12:58

Seen it thanks. Couldn't think of any other way to get an update

shabster · 04/04/2008 13:03

Tiggs I told you what caused the problem on here. The cig in the ouzo under the table in the village hall - that sounds like a good game of cludo

tkband3 · 04/04/2008 13:03

LG&T I'm not surprised your body has been responding to the emotional shock you have had. But you sound so much more positive today and I'm so glad that you and your DD are having some special time together today. She is gorgeous and will always be your special daughter.

Although it's not in the same league as your experience, when I found out about DD1's coeliac disease, I felt shock, but also a certain sense of relief. There was something wrong - I wasn't just a neurotic mother - and better still, it wasn't life-threatening but relatively easily managed. I've always just told her that she is special, and only special people eat gluten-free food - but then she's not yet 5 so simplistic explanations suit her best. But she does have the occasional 'I wish I was like the others' moan, which is entirely understandable.

The egg donation plans sound great. Maybe it helps to be able to do something positive like that for her.

Hope you have a lovely afternoon with DD .

If anyone sees/speaks to/texts pixi, please send her my love. Hope things get going soon and she is ok.

Momma, sorry for your sad news.

frumpygrumpy · 04/04/2008 14:31

Momma, that is terrible news I'm so sorry to hear it. Whether you are close or not doesn't matter, its still shocking and sad. Wishing you all strength xxx.

Hope Pixi is as comfortable as possible. I hope you girls manage a little pop in, it can only be a comfort. Sometimes it can make you worse/cry when people arrive but then sometimes thats just what you need too. If you see her, give her my love and wishes for comfort and a snuggly baby very soon.

Shabs, imagine leaving you stuck to the leather! Bet you had creases where you've never had creases before.

Kelly.......what the hell is mufti? Sounds too much like muff to me PMSL

LG&T, I'm so glad you are doing the egg donating, thats such a great thing to do. It means as she grows up she will always know thats how she has a baby. It will be normal. Doesn't really matter what the recipe is, the cake turns out the same.

That was a strange morning here on madMumsnet wasn't it??

G&T have a great day with DD - wish I could come with you

Wonder how Pixie is doing?

My DS and his DP just went for midwife appointment. Midwife is really pleased with Em's progress especially after she was so sick at the beginning. Delighted with Lewis' growth. He is head down (for the moment!) and has good strong heartbeat. Em is thrilled to bits and DS1 has a wobbly bottom lip and says he's got dust in his eye

......and I think to myself, what a wonderful world......oh yeeeaaaahhhh xxxx

frumpygrumpy · 04/04/2008 14:34

I'll be away next week so keep texting me to keep me up to date (I'll never manage a catch up!!!). We are buggering off on a last minute break since DD1 still has another weeks hol. Wasn't sure if all our health was up to it but hell, we can be ill at home or ill away........Just sent DP to the pharmacy though, he has horrendous ear ache

p.s. I went to the doctor this morning and cried my way through the appointment. She was helpful but business like. No real plan of action but hey, after 7 years of being in denial one is unhinged, its a start

This is our most up and down thread ever. We've seen it all!!
