I've had too much champers and wine at the school promises auction. Bagged a return trip to Gatwick for £55 (bargain as the cab would cost at least £70 and at least this way I know the driver and the school gets the funds).

Can't post more because to be honest I can't see straight and it's taken longer to post this than normal. I do hope my ladies don't give birth tonight.

Am off to bed... once I've had a quick surf.

Love you Shabby and FG and Tracy and Chops and Dingdong and Shazz and Pazza and Triplets and T& T and Momma and Estar and Egg and Charleymouse oh dear Lord.... I need to stop!

triplets · 15/03/2008 06:36

For once I beat Shabby on here first thing, morning ladies, its Sat, should be having a lie in, woke at 5am feeling sick, and still on day 2 of a headache, just feel yukky. Was invited to a lovely friends last night for supper, bth I struggled to eat and had one beer which I didnt enjoy, now that is a worrying sign..trouble is I have got to the stage that I dont know if its all the worry makng me feel like this or its a bug. Got in at 10pm last night to find DH in a real bad mood as the kids had really played him up, its the the first time I have been out for a few hours for weeks, feel as though I cant win atm. Whats good for tension headaches, I get the same one, same spot everytime, almost migrainey, makes me feel sick. I am not at all organized for Easter, bought nothing yet, usually done it all by now and posted parcels etc, its my b/day too next Sat, but just cant think about anything. Sorry girls I am being so down, finding it very hard to keep afloat atm. Pixi you are back, you are an angel, cannot tell you how much your card meant to me yesterday, it was the nicest thing thats happened to me all week xxxx

shabster · 15/03/2008 07:32

Morning trips. Really wish I lived closer to you - distance is frustrating sometimes. I had a horrible day yesterday as well. DH is very strange! Oh well

I stayed in last night. It was either be nice to my friends SIL again or stay here!!! Not a massive choice to make really.

Wish I could help you in some way. Maybe it helps knowing that I am always here for you - I hope it does a little.

HarrogateMum · 15/03/2008 08:53

Mars - you forgot me . I think I must be eminently forgettable.

Triplets - not sure re the tension headaches, I just go for the bog standard Paracetamol or Ibuprofen normally, although I do have some stronger painkillers but they make me feel dizzy and like the room is spinning so I very rarely take them.

Oh Triplets, really wishing you all the best. Wish I could do more for you.

No time to catch up. You've filled too many threads while I was gone.

DS1 has turned into an ogre since starting school, his favourite word is now HATE a word not in his vocabulary before. I am public enemy number 1 with him.

Been really up and down emotionally lately and missing you girls more than I can say, really glad to be back, and just a quick thank you to Momma and Tigger for keeping me in touch with everyone.

Baby due in less than two weeks. Help. I'm not ready to be a mum to 5 . Haven't even had a chance to see the maternity ward yet.

Oh and living with your mum is very strange.

largeginandtonic · 15/03/2008 09:24

Pixi darling sending all my love to you. It will all be ok, 5 is the same as 4 just more washing. Wish i was closer to you to help out.

Momma are you feeling better my sweet?

HM Mars forgot me too Drunken hussy that she is

Trips dont sweat the small stuff, eggs on bogof in Sainsburys. That will do. Rest my and relax as much as you can. Take some echinacea to keep your immune system up too.

DH got shouted at over the garden fence this morning, he was gardening at 7. Grumpy neighbour moaning about the noise, shouted in front of little ds#3 too They have no childrena dn are so intolerant to everything. I am planning my rant apology.

TiggerRiffick · 15/03/2008 10:06

Mars you forgot me too

frumpygrumpy · 15/03/2008 10:35

Triplets, I get tension headaches regularly. You sound wound as tightly as a coiled spring so its no surprise you are having headaches and sick feelings. You could do with a big burst out, a huge big, gut wrenching, snotty nosed cry yourself inside out and pour out your soul completely of every little thing that you are holding on to. Only then can you get the calm. The flat-on-your-face-only-way-is-up calm. That gets you perspective and then you can build up. I know these feelings. (not exactly the same worries but the holding it in and making yourself feel ill)

Who and where can do you that with? I don't expect this will work for you but doing it with H would be ideal. Then he might feel he could do the same.

Anyway, none of that is very helpful when the thing you asked was what could you do about tension headaches.....

Right. I have a lavender eye pillow (laid it out for Momma last night for her sinusitus). Its a bag thing you lay over your eyes. It had bead things inside which mould into your eye sockets and place a little pressure in that area which help keeps your eyes closed and makes it dark. It feels cool. It also has lavender inside so the smell is also meant to relax. But really its the action I think that works best. My DP used to suffer extremely bad migraines and (amongst pumping him full of prescribed medication ) I would put this over his eyes.

It will force you to lie down for 20 minutes and the tension will ease. When you can't move your head or open your eyes its amazing how you feel the tension go. But you have to train your body into accepting it. The first few times I did it, I lay there like a piece of wood! Try to do it regulary, 2-3 times a day (just for 15 mins) and train your body to let go. Remind yourself that for those 15minutes you will not think about the worries (you can do that on the 16th minute) and keep pushing in a different thought each time the worries creep in. For me, beaches, the tesco man, the crap sex I once had with a very good and adorable friend (male I hasten to add)! anything.

God I can talk shit.

Also, I tend to hit worries/tension headaches with everything. I bought Bach Rescue Remedy which I spray on my tongue, I bought lavender oil for my pillow and I have a roll on thing for your wrists and behind your ears called Sleep.

PMSL I sound like a right jolly old hippie. I don't do chanting and I've never done lentil weaving

In short, spray your tongue, dab on the oil, lie back with your eye pillow and make yourself breathe deeply (in through the nose, out through the mouth) at least ten times.

Lastly, please email me your address [email protected] and I will pop my spare (and unused) eye pillow in the post to you.

We will drag you through this whether you like it or not.

Tomsters best buddy (one of my waifs and strays I take to school) has just called for him to go swimming.

The conversation as they were going through the door was this:-

Tom, guess what, my mum has got a restraining order on my step dad so it means he cant come near us anymore!

Tomster says - Cool!!

Restraining order - OMG - Really hoping Tom has no idea what he means but secretly think Josh will already have filled him in.

shabster · 15/03/2008 10:40

frumps pmsl at you - now I keep singing 'If you're going to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair....'

Loved the sex line when you felt you had to justify male or female you should have just left it and us - wondering!!!
