Tigs, when a thread goes arse over tit the only way to stop it is to leave it. Don't read it again, remove it from your watched items. It is an elegant way to live, walk away when it doesn't suit, don't throw pies. I manage that with ease in my everyday life of course, when I am screaming at my children to act their age
Haven't seen that particular thread........
Ruby, cod is a (very) regular poster. She can't spell type, she barks speaks her truth and, generally, makes MN laugh. But as I say, I haven't seen the thread......
Merly, what a week!!! Glad you have someone to take the pressure off a little. Until last Summer my DP worked away constantly. I remember phoning my mum in tears one night in the dead of winter, at 4am. I had moved house twice in a year, once whilst heavily pregnant and once with new babies, I was alone constantly and it seemed one of my chilren was always ill. This particular night I had been up and down with the DTs all bloody night (maybe age 6/7 months) and my DD1 kept waking and coming through. At 4am both DTs were crying and DD1 awake. I didn't know who to deal with first! I needed someone's voice to say it was ok. There can be awful times and there can be times when you feel superhuman. Keep remembering the superhuman bits when the shit hits the fan. You will get through. There is light.
Mars, my DP text me to say he is stranded in London. No flights going out from City Airport as yet........ I told him you permanently wear blue silk negligees whilst you cook and I have phoned him a cab to your address........
