Night rubes - just been having a rant on another thread re: fear of dying

Hiya momma - its a bit freaky here, very calm and can clearly hear the planes going into Manchester airport - normally dont notice them - maybe they know something we dont

Night momma - the mighty tomster is in the same predicament as you - he has been in bed for 4 hours now and keeps coming to the top of the stairs and shouting 'mum I need you I have got stomach ache'

Another day another dollar - see you in the morning.

shabster · 10/03/2008 00:35

Sorry to bother any multiples. What is all this weird stuff on mumsnet about COD - I get the impression that it is a weirdo starting false threads. It is kicking off all over the place on mumsnet except here.

If I have got this all wrong please forgive my mental state. Once or twice over the last week I have read some threads and thought this is weird....

Oh this is too bloody hard. See you in the morning my lovley mates.

shabster · 10/03/2008 07:03

Bit windy here but not awful - yet!! Dilemma ladies - do I get a doctors appointment for the tomster (who hasn't coughed all night) or do I leave him to have a much needed lie in?

Hope you are all ok - wind free

shabster · 10/03/2008 07:36

OMG just watching GMTV - South west - many parts have no power!! So I am probably talking to myself. The GMTV reporter is going to get blown into the water at Brighton - he has a stupid hand held wind measuring thing and its bloody obvious how windy it is - he has it held up in the air - fool

Also fiona whatever she is called keeps saying wain and rinds instead of wind and rain

Hope you lot are ok -

ChopsTheDuck · 10/03/2008 07:57

shabs, cod set a mn challenge. It's gone a bit askew though, and people aren't happy here

anyone else keeping the kids off school today? We live in the middle of so many woodlands, I'm not risking it. Last year a tree came down on the way to school. DP is staying off work too.

shabster · 10/03/2008 08:01

Morning chops - tomster is not going in - cause he has been coughing till he chucks all weekend - but I agree with you about keeping them home.

I thought thats what all the arguing was about - thanks for explaining it. Suppose there are numpties wherever you are - some of us numpties are quite harmless but others.....

shabster · 10/03/2008 08:04

Awww poo chops - I just thought I would have a nose in your photo's to see if you had any new ones. You've guessed it - toy story folk just frightened the pants off me again

That stupid, stupid man on GMTV is still blowing along the front at Brighton - he is beginning to get on my bobos

ChopsTheDuck · 10/03/2008 08:36

I've changed it just for you shabs.

It's all gone rather quiet here. Very still, hope that isn't it!

ChopsTheDuck · 10/03/2008 08:41

Ooh btw, mars posting her tma results reminded me to check mine. 75% Very chuffed.

Morning all, power here but pretty sure it went off in the night. It is not too bad just raining and soooo dark.

Kids all gone to school, beach road was open. Sometimes the waves come right over the road, the kids love it. I do not.

Poor Tom Shabs hope he is ok.

How is everyone else and what have i missed over the weekend?

shabster · 10/03/2008 10:46

Feel cheated - its like a summers day here though have just seen a brass monkey minus his testimonials

Got to take tomster to doctors this afternoon.

Morning ladies xx

frumpygrumpy · 10/03/2008 10:58

Tis a tiny bit snowyish in Edinburgh but not a whisper of a breeze let alone wind.

My DT2 vomitted for Scotland last night (his room has just been decorated - once with lovely paint and once with chunks!!!) He is tucked up on the couch. I am having a run round tidying, trying to make soup and then hopefully cuddle with him until school run 2.15pm.

Shabs, love the bar story on your hols

Mars, poem is excellent. You should be whole inside with the comments from your tutor. It came from a splurge of emotion. The best things do. Well done!

shabster · 10/03/2008 11:19

Morning frumpster - the tomster is reading over my shoulder and said 'aw poor darling twin 2 - I know how that feels' - he has been reading to many of these threads

That same year we had to work behind the bar frumpster - there was a young guy from Glasgow (this is not the beginning of a poem) who I felt really sorry for because I thought he was mentally handicapped. I realised he was just a druggie when he came in the swimming pool area and washed his socks in the pool!!!! Ha Ha Ha the owner Takis appeared from nowhere and screamed 'what you do you stupid man, I make you dead with one punch, why you sort always come across my temper - you crazeee englishman' The guy turned around and said Im not English I'm from Glasgow. (sorry cant do a scottish accent just a greek one) to which Takis replied 'stop theeese mentalness now - och aye the noo'

For once, that is not a lie

largeginandtonic · 10/03/2008 11:27

G & T I do normally over exagerate or blatantly lie - but that is the honest truth - Takis had him thrown out of the hotel by the Greek police.

Last year a gang of about 20 Asian lads came in to the reception quite late at night. Takis looked up and said 'bloody hell it is Al Quiadas (apologises for spelling) gang. Then he told them that they couldnt buy the hotel mini mart off him. Luckily they all laughed

He is very funny.

Well it was sunny when I got up this morning & did the school run. It's just gone really dark and thrown it down with hail. Next thing I know there's thunder & lightning . The TV went off briefly and the windows rattled.

Ruby,it's green bin day here too,in fact they've just turned up in the middle of that storm. They didn't look too worried though, were stood there laughing
