OP posts:
shabster · 23/02/2008 00:00

dont think she is back yet - well I havent got done so I dont think she is. What has happened:-

Our granbabys pram (sorry travel system) has been delivered.

It has snowed in Bolton - just for a day - then it turned to slush.

I have spent the week perving over Mamas bloke.

Oh yes and Nikos (the beautiful one) came on MSN on webcam and messaged me for about 10 mins (messaged not massaged unfortunatly) and had to be wiped down with a chamois leather'

Bad behaviour all round. Good to have you home

So what do I do about facebook?

OP posts:
shabster · 23/02/2008 00:03

trips - you have to apply to join the group first - think the join the group thing is in the right hand corner. It only takes a few minutes and then you are sorted.

The OJ and steve story - I havent got involved cause I cant do it!! know that sounds silly but.....think she said on active conversations that he was going into the hospice. Wish I could tell you more but sometimes I cant read stuff cause I cant cope with it.

shabster · 23/02/2008 00:05

I will go on facebook now and invite you in - please remember I dont know what I am doing. Back in a min

triplets · 23/02/2008 00:11

I knew Steve had gone in, but there was talk about him coming out last Tues. Well I got back tonight to an e-mail from my friend in Holland. Dont know if I told you about her Shabs. Known her and her family for 30 years, met through our towns twinning. She and her son stayed with us three weeks before Matthew died, the last photo of Matthew was actually taken by her. We havent seen each other since May 94. In March 2003 her son, her only child committed suicide, he was 24. Each year we promise to try and go over to see her, we have booked a few days this May in Center Parcs nr her, so will spend some time with her and her lovely Mum. Anyway, I feel very sad tonight as she has found out she has breast cancer, and goes into hospital on March 12th for a mastectomy. Bloody life! Also got back to a phone message for Harry to ring the hospital, he had that test done on the 19th just before we went away, so am very worried. There won`t be anyone there now of course until Mon. Yes...its good to be home!

DS only coughed a couple of times in the night so it seems him giving up smoking has helped - joke - hes only 10 he gave up smoking at New Year

HarrogateMum · 23/02/2008 09:10

morning Shabster!!

Welcome home Triplets, lovely to have you back, and fancy making your grand entrance on Tkb's hen night! YOu didnt mention your outfit - did it rival Momma's taffeta, Shabs' platforms or my BAcofoil?

DH has gone swimming, why is it he never seems to be HERE!!

HarrogateMum · 23/02/2008 09:14

Forgot to say welcome Ben&Sue - I had mine the other way round - DTs were 2 when DD was born but there are plenty who had DTs second - FG, where are youuuuuuu??!!

shabster · 23/02/2008 09:16

Morning HMum - hows your belly for spots?

HarrogateMum · 23/02/2008 09:21

quite spotty shabs - pissed off this morning!

Does anyone else feel like they look after other people in every area of their life - home, work etc and never get looked after themselves?

shabster · 23/02/2008 09:26

HM - You are defo singing the same song that is on my hymn sheet

My DH will ask me to pass him the remote for the tv even if it is within his reach - AND I DO - then I say 'whats wrong with you, does your wheelchair need oiling'

DS4 expects food immediately - thinks the microwave is too slow and hates my slow cooker!! I blame that on breastfeeding on demand.

Being a mum is very overated

HarrogateMum · 23/02/2008 09:47

agreed. I have often wondered what would happen if I were to just get in the car and drive off for a day or two. The washing would not miraculously do itself, get folded and go back into drawers, there would be no ironed shirts, no food in the cupboards, no dinner on the table and the kids would look like ragamuffins, and would end up surviving on beans on toast for the duration.

I love them all dearly but by god, they do my head in.

shabster · 23/02/2008 09:47

Oh yes HM just remembered.....

DS1 (who has his own home) phones me and says things like 'Mam when you go into town will you bring me some brochures from the travel agents?' 'Course I will love' says I.

Off I trot about a mile into our nearest town, get the very heavy brochures, carry them home and then think:-

'He works at the town hall which is exactly opposite all the shops - including the travel agents!!!!'
