and I also left the loo seat up in your honour

triplets · 06/01/2008 15:34

Ooogs, when I was 7 weeks pregnant with my three, I lost the most enormous clot, looked like a pound of liver! The gp came up and examined it, and found nothing in it. I at that time thought I was having twins, my first scan showed two heartbeats, though three embryos had been replaced. The next day I was sent for a scan to see what was happening, I was still losing lots of clots. She scannned and said she had 3 heartbeats! They now think that baby number three was hiding behind the clot! It was terrifying, I bled for 17 weeks, then it all stopped and the rest is history!

frumpygrumpy · 06/01/2008 15:35

Wow triplets! Scary stuff.

frumpygrumpy · 06/01/2008 15:36

That pregnancy must have been fraught with emotion for you for all the reasons.

triplets · 06/01/2008 15:36

Hi all,
Back to feeling yukky today, awful nights sleep and on top of it all somehow I have hurt my shoulder, I can move my arm but it really hurts along the top and up to my neck, put gel on and heat pack, thats all I need! Its my left one and I am left handed!

frumpygrumpy · 06/01/2008 15:37

Nurofen, Nurofen, Nurofen. Anti-inflammatory. Although personally, I can't take it as it give me terrible stomach cramps.

triplets · 06/01/2008 15:39

Hi Frumpy, Didn`t see you there! Yes it was scary, so afraid of losing them, esp after all the ivf, two years worth. But God knows why, it was all meant to be, I still cannot get my head around it all, keep asking "why", never going to get the answer. The funny thing was I never worried about me, yet lots of things I have read since about the risks of carrying triplets esp at my age are scary! Someone up there was looking after me!

triplets · 06/01/2008 15:40

Frumpy I am using ibuprofen gel, been told I can`t take the tablets as well as I will be over dosing!

frumpygrumpy · 06/01/2008 15:44

You didn't see me because I am thinking about dieting. The thought must have frightened my flab clean away and I am a mere shadow on the wall.

Well thats it then. I prescribe a weeks holiday somewhere warm. Alone. Except for a butler

frumpygrumpy · 06/01/2008 15:47

Meant to tell you. I was updating DP on the secret santa thing and by the time I'd told him about Pixi's DS and his "magic tree" and then I told him a little about you and Matthew and your trio we were both in tears.

triplets · 06/01/2008 15:47

Oh, love the idea of a butler! If you are watching the box this pm there is a lovely prog at 4pm on itv called After Thomas, it was partly filmed here in Deal!

frumpygrumpy · 06/01/2008 15:48

As I said, emotional teabags. School prep calls.......

frumpygrumpy · 06/01/2008 15:48

Ooh, I will try to tune in. If I can shove Fireman Sam out of the way.

triplets · 06/01/2008 15:54

Oh thank you Frumpy, even seeing Matthews name in print by someone else lifts my heart. This year is a big hurdle for me, he was 14 when he died and it will be 14 years on June 2nd that he left us, cannot believe it.

HarrogateMum · 06/01/2008 16:58

FG - I thought you kept MN a secret from your DP? And only came on here when he was playing the lute in the other turret of your castle?

HarrogateMum · 06/01/2008 17:05

Triplets I didnt realise you were in Deal - I have always wanted to get there as its where my great grandfather came from and I've done lots of family history research on him and his family but never seen where he lived!

frumpygrumpy · 06/01/2008 17:41

HM, I told him a little (he watched me making up the secret santa parcels and I had to fill in a bit more). I still prefer he doesn't know exactly where I am as its my therapy Anyway, how could I moan completely if he popped in?

Triplets I do often think of Matthew. I do believe there is a great party going on up there. Lots of fabulous people up there.

oooggs · 06/01/2008 19:09

HM - Deal is lovely (of course it is, it's where I am from ) well worth a visit

Triplets - I often think of Matthew too, as if I had stayed in Deal our paths may well have crossed.

Wow triplets all that blood loss and still healthy triplets - well done

devondoris · 06/01/2008 20:00

Triplets - I also think of Matthew often and I've told a few friends about you and him and about your family. Lots of good thoughts come your way, y'know.

We start school tomorrow too, and can I find DD's reading folder anywhere? At least she's moving up a class so hopefully she'll get a new one. Other than that there's the ironing (I only iron uniform and salsa clothes) and clearing up to do, work out how much money I'm going to owe for school dinners this term. And then tomorrow, once I've dropped DD and a friend off at school, I'm dropping the boys off with my Mum for the whole day!!! and hurrah!! It's so I can do some work - I have huge curtains to make - but it's going to be bliss! A whole day, bar a doc appt for a hurty foot, just to work. Radio 4 all day long with no interruptions. Leftover pizza for lunch...

Sorry. I'll stop now. But it's quite nice to know I'm going to get some money sooner rather than later, cos I have about £40 to my name at the moment and I'm feeling very, very poor. DH isn't good at being asked for money, and I won't have any til I get the next job done.

If any local birds fancy an NCT coffee morning by the way, at my house, let me know. It's on Tuesday morning.

Wonder how Pixi's getting on.

La-de-da. Must stop putting off school stuff.

FG - sorry to hear things aren't good in the FG house. Not brill here either, but I've decided that I can't do anything about it until I'm able to half support the household on my own, which is going to be about 4 years away when the boys start school. But I find myself making nasty faces and flicking Vs and fingers and muttering to myself a lot at the moment. Anyway, hope it gets better in your house soon. And I was obviously using the Devonshire vernacular when I started this thread (though I've been wondering since whether it should have been "D'ew").

Thanks all, Harrogatemum, what was your grandfathers name, do you know where he lived? If you ever fancy a house swap to do some research, we are within walking distance of Walmer Castle and the sea!

MarsLady · 06/01/2008 20:04

Hi all.

Well just as I thought mine were all to be safely back in school... DS1 has an INSET day and DD2's school had a fire and so is closed tomorrow! Grrrrrrrrrr

devondoris · 06/01/2008 20:07

Oooggs - sounds normal to me too; I had liver-like clots after DD1 which were quite scarey as they were rather large, but they were just womb lining making its way out. Also occasionally had them with a heavy period (amazing what you find in a Mooncup!). If you're concerned maybe you should go back to your GP if he/she's any good. Anyway, thinking of you.

All we seem to have heard lately is fire! Hope it is not too serious, such a shame about the Marsden. We had two awful house fires here in Deal before Christmas, was of Harrys distant relatives died, he slept downstairs, bedridden, then a mum and her 9 yr old daughter died a week before Christmas, alarm did not work. I might be off to casualty first thing if this shoulder doesnt ease up, goodness knows what I have done!

inamuckingfuddle · 06/01/2008 21:12

anything to add - potty training!
