Tripley - I havent been on FB much either, will check, thank you though, I loovvve flowers!!

Egg · 07/01/2008 15:47

Hi trio, just in case you are confused, it is not Tripley who has twins as well, she "only" has triplets. It is tripletsandtwins who has twins as well, who are about 3 weeks old I think!

I am desperately awaiting the arrival of my twins. My stomach has been upset for three days, I have been having braxton hicks for weeks, There is a head in my pelvis, a head round one side and feet under my ribs, I can't sleep and I WANT THEM OUT (am 36 weeks).

Trio I am a mere mother of 3 (id girl DTs, 2.10 and DD1 4.6) and I take my (very wet) hat off to you .

What a horrid re-introduction to the joys of the school run I had today! As I got out of the car, it started raining, just a little. So I got the buggy out for DTs, and got DT2 into it, just as it started throwing down hail and really hard cold rain . I was trying to shelter DT2 in the buggy under the door of the boot, whilst trying to get the rain cover out and onto the buggy in ridiculous wind and had forgotten to shut the door of the car so DT1 was also getting soaked in the car and screaming cos she wanted to walk with her umbrella (didn't understand she probably would have flown away with it!). Anyway, boring story, but I ended up soaked, trousers dripping and freezing cold [fed up]. But by the time I got to school, there was the most beautiful rainbow arched right over the school.

Egg, you sound like you're nearly there...it won't be long .

Triplets, hope your shoulder's ok.

MarsLady · 07/01/2008 19:05

Glad I wasn't round for lunch. Cauli cheese bleurggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shouldn't be here. Have an essay due, but people to see tonight first.

I know... I know. I keep flying through....

Hi all,

Had a great day on my own with my 3 dcs today ! ds1 is becoming more angelic by the day since we took him out of nursery which makes life a whole lot easier!

Walkie, mine will be 11months on 20th Jan, they also play very happily together and will usually only play a few minutes with me before running off together (usually pushing along the same piece of furniture together).
Today they were so sweet, dt2 started clapping his hands and dt1 copied, they sat facing each ohter giggling !
I also worry a bit about them as they seem to be far behind where ds1 was at this age - but then all children are different.
I usually play with each of them individually, I think its difficult at this age to do things with both together. Their own play together is too spontaneous.

Smypathies Egg, I remember only too well how you are feeling! have an 'active' day, run up and down the stairs a few times.

MUST change my name before I post again !

oooggs · 07/01/2008 20:41

cheers fg for that link it was helpful I am going to EPU for a scan on Friday, must be to check that it has all gone

tkband3 · 07/01/2008 20:57

Ooogs, hope you are doing ok.

Leo, my girls have lagged behind DD1 in all their development, except their gross motor skills. DD1 didn't crawl till 11 months and walked at 16 months, DTs could roll/pull themselves around by 7/8 months and were walking at 14 and 15 months. But it was their speech that caused most concern - DP was v. worried about it, but DD1 had been such an early and exceptional talker that it was no surprise that the DTs didn't match up. When they were born, DD1 was 20 mths and could hold a proper conversation, with sentences of 10 words or more. At 20 mths, the DTs could just about say each other's names (or an approximation ) and Mama and Dada. But everyone says that twins often develop speech later than singletons and it is often the case that speech is slower to come in second children as well - so they have both strikes against them . Can't shut them up now though (they are 2.10) .
