Nah!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loving it too much at the moment.

Those stereo moments with the DTs though..... they make me want to put the world on pause occasionally.

Had a fab night out dancing. Saw that IAMF filled the thread and didn't even start a new one

So here it is and if you don't like the title.... well it's almost 3 in the morning. What's a Mars to do?

pixi, don't compare my darling!!! Its going to beat you up with maternal guilt. Your DTs are developing normally, all at different stages and in different ways. You don't look like me, I don't look like you, I adore Bruce Springsteen and you probably don't, I don't fall over when I get drunk, but you maybe do, I have never been able to do the slosh, you maybe can. We are normal. xxxxx

Mars stop scaring the poor woman!

tkband3 · 06/10/2007 22:10

Haven't been in for a while. It's been a difficult week - OH's first week at his new job and it's been punishing...v. long hours and horrid journey. He's hardly seen the girls which is really getting him down.

So I caught up on the other thread, and then wondered why no-one had posted for ages...d'uh . Took me a good while to realise there was a new thread!

Piximon...just to echo everyone else re development. My girls definitely develop at different rates but one will do one thing more quickly then the other will do something else better first. eg DT1 was first to pull herself along on her tummy, but once DT2 had got the hang of it, she then started crawling properly first. They both managed this quite early, but DD1, although she sat up early, didn't crawl till 11 months or even lie on her tummy till well gone 10 months. My HV tried to worry me about this but I ignored her .

Wondered if anyone has any advice on this.

Hello everyone else!

New York eh HM?

I don't go very often as its a long way from where I am, but I love it there.

Things to do:

You have got to go to Central Park obviously.

Also Brooklyn Bridge is a must and have an ice cream at the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory at Fulton Ferry Landing ? its also perhaps the best place to take pictures of downtown skyscrapers.

You've got to go on the Staten Island Ferry as well, it takes an hour and has the most fantastic views of Manhattan. It's also free, which makes it even better

I like Chinatown and Little Italy as well...erm....

St. Mark's Place is good for shops, or go to one of the great cafes on MacDougal Street, or just sitting and relaxing in Washington Square Park is nice.

Federal Hall is worth a peek.

A tip: don't take a car into NYC. It's horrible and the money to park is outrageous.

Hope you enjoy NY

Harrogatemum · 06/10/2007 22:51

cheers T&T!! Will scribble all that down for my notes to do - DH/HD insists I sort it all out now that he has booked it!!
