Nah!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loving it too much at the moment.

Those stereo moments with the DTs though..... they make me want to put the world on pause occasionally.

Had a fab night out dancing. Saw that IAMF filled the thread and didn't even start a new one

So here it is and if you don't like the title.... well it's almost 3 in the morning. What's a Mars to do?

TripletEm - thanks for advice re tummy - feel a bit encouraged but also incredibly about your 8 and a half stone - I too am a shortie but a hefty one! I will keep up the bio oil / moisturiser and hope to see a slow improvement. I keep hinting to DH about a tummy tuck but he just laughs as if I'm joking ...

Accordiongirl, did your hernia hurt at all or were you completely unaware? Hypochondriac that I am, I'm now wondering if I might have something similar going on but I don't have any pain with it - just a very oddly shaped tum.

Marslady - would love to post some pics but not really sure how to do it on mumsnet - will try and work it out...

TrickORTripletEm · 06/10/2007 14:40

Ha,Ha don't feel the rest of me is a mess i can assure you!!!!

Triplets are you about? My friend has just told me that her friend(38yrs)is expecting triplets!!! Apparently apart from the other worries she has one of them is about money, esp.as she has a large morgage. Do you know what she is entitled to if she stays in work, such as mat.leave and any benefits? She is giving me a ring tonight, might ask her to take a look at MN to settle her mind a bit. I know she is worried also as one of the triplets is behind in growth, but that was the same for me,do you know if it is common?

frumpygrumpy · 06/10/2007 14:42

Oh my god, would you look at oor wee hoose!! Bulging at the seams. We need an loft extension

I can't remember what names I've used for haloween......i think my name is fine the way it is

Mars, look at the state of your kitchen , you might have given him some flour and sugar as well and let him make his own LDC.

tripletsandtwins · 06/10/2007 14:44

Do you think my name is scary enough as it is?

Love the thread title mars.

tripletsandtwins · 06/10/2007 14:47

2 eggs mars? 2? LOL - better than 30, but that was my fault I suppose. Hope it cleans ok for you.... my carpet cleaned fine because I cleaned it when it was still wet.

MarsLady · 06/10/2007 15:26

Fortunately there were only 2 left. I've had many an occasion where the wee weapons of mass destruction have created more havoc than that!

My kitchen is lovely and clean now. It's the futility room that's scaring me now!

frumpystumpy · 06/10/2007 15:41

TaT, you're name is plenty scary

I found last years outfit , will it do?

frumpystumpy · 06/10/2007 15:43

Mars, don't attempt cleaning a difficult area until the wine is open. You will throw out everything that you always hated/is dirty/can't find a place for and you will never remember to blame yourself in the weeks that follow.

There A nice tip of the day I think!

MarsLady · 06/10/2007 15:44

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............. wine........................

frumpystumpy · 06/10/2007 15:49

My bar will open in about 45 minutes. 4.30pm, just as dinner begins to cook. I think you look the part of a great chef if you have a little wine on the go

Just keeping up appearances really.

MarsLady · 06/10/2007 15:51

But of course!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh but what to do for dinner????????????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Harrogatemum · 06/10/2007 15:52

hey there laydeeeeez...........just managed to put the baby down FG - I had to entertain the DTs and DD upstairs whilst DH and FIL watched the rugby. You can imagine DH's disgust that England beat Aus!!

It was our wedding anniversary yesterday and guess what I got as a surprise? Plane tickets and a hotel voucher for 3 nights in New York!! We are going in early Nov and apparently my parents have agreed to look after the kids for 4 whole days! Woooo hooooooooooooo I still cant quite believe it!

MarsLady · 06/10/2007 15:52

Now that's why I love HD!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
frumpystumpy · 06/10/2007 15:54

Errrm, in this house it could be pizza, it might be tuna and sweetcorn stuffed pittas with a side order of fries and ketchup or it could be a learning curve.......thats the one where I get legless, lie on the couch and say yes to anything they can reach

frumpystumpy · 06/10/2007 15:55

Oh! Hi HD!!! How many tickets HM?

Harrogatemum · 06/10/2007 15:56

teee heeeeeeeeeeeee just the two I'm afraid! I know, he's never done anythign like this before. He is now obviously expecting to "get it" as he so pleasantly puts it, every night

MarsLady · 06/10/2007 15:57

Well I hope there's no gym there!

OP posts:
frumpystumpy · 06/10/2007 15:58

right girls, we're out of here, HM needs a little space for.......for..... a body popping class

frumpystumpy · 06/10/2007 15:59

I must leave calmly now. My DTs are quiet. There must be a bad problem.

Harrogatemum · 06/10/2007 16:00

Ladies - my FIL is here - there will be none of that, and he is here for A MONTH!!

Has anyone been to NY btw? What can I squeeze into 3 days? And thats got to include 1 full days shopping!!

frumpystumpy · 06/10/2007 16:00
piximon · 06/10/2007 17:30

Oh HM you lucky lucky thing, I was looking at flights to NY myself earlier, am desperate to escape this mad house. I went year before last and can't wait to go again. I liked the full full boat cruise, empire state viewing platform (late evening/ night), as much of Central park as you can cram in, we went early Nov as well and the NY Marathon was on the Sunday so a lot of the roads were blocked off, hotels jammed and streets manic, I love watching marathons so it was great for me, you might want to check out if your dates clash. I really wanted to do the Museums but didn't have time (and not with someone who was interested), did do several bus tours and really enjoyed it, finding out all sorts of facts I would never have remembered otherwise. Erm and apart from that just mostly shopped. My suitcase barely shut on the way back and I could have fitted into the Sephora bag I carried back as hand luggage lol.

Today DS1 has decided that he is married to DD1. She calls him "nusbend" and they are going to have babies when they get bigger....

piximon · 06/10/2007 17:56

Reading about Mars' eggy fun this morning reminds me about the week before last. DS1 decided to bite into one of the eggs I had left on the unit. He thought they were hard boiled and decided to use his teeth to peel the shell. He had raw egg all down his clothes, face etc, of course it had to happen after I'd got him ready for nursery.

Went to see the HV for the 9mth check recently. Of course now she's got me all stressed out. DT1 is much more advanced than DT2 although both are way behind the "norms" of a singleton. Neither is sitting up properly for long, neither showing any interest in pulling themselves up. DT1 will stand if you hold her hands but DT2 has no interest in putting his feet on the floor let alone standing. I feel like a crap mum to them really. They are huge and were full term so it's hard not to compare them really.
