Nah!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loving it too much at the moment.

Those stereo moments with the DTs though..... they make me want to put the world on pause occasionally.

Had a fab night out dancing. Saw that IAMF filled the thread and didn't even start a new one

So here it is and if you don't like the title.... well it's almost 3 in the morning. What's a Mars to do?

Oh I def agree about the weight thing, eat what you need to. I usedd to sit next to the fruit bowl and constantly be dipping in it, I got really hungry and did put on quite a lot. Once they were born with feeding them and running around the weight jsut dropped off me so it was a good thing really.

Egg · 17/10/2007 14:50

Fruit bowl ?????

I have eaten beans and fish fingers with DS, two penguins, then the crust from the loaf of bread with ham and cheese.

DS has eaten a banana and half an apple today. I have had no fruit at all except a bite of his apple .

I did eat some veg yesterday though .

Saw a lady with a double Nipper this morning. She told me it is the best thing ever and that she would consider knocking down the front door and getting it widened just so I could get one. But we only rent this place... Hoping to go back to shop and have another look at options if DS gets a move on (ie if I get off MN).

nh I think I managed a couple of nights out when I was in the later stages of my pregnancy with DTs and managed a few nights away when I was about 28-30 weeks pregnant (can't remember exactly) but I don't think I'd've managed the whole weekend you describe. The trip to London from Oxford will be exhausting - train journey followed by tube from Paddington into West End to watch a show where you will probably not be able to get comfortable for the whole thing then tube and train back again!. I'd suggest you say you'll go to Oxford for the weekend but not up to London for the matinee. Then you'll be able to sleep in on the Saturday morning, have a nice stroll round Oxford and a leisurely lunch while the others dash up to London and back and you'll be all refreshed for the dinner in the evening. You could even suggest you and your SIL spend the afternoon together, while the others see the show...

That's what I would have done anyway...at least that way if you're in no fit state to move by then, you'll only have to cancel the hotel and no-one will be out of pocket for the show tickets.

chopster · 17/10/2007 15:48

do you really HAVE to get it in the house? I've only ever once brought a pushchair in the house with the dts in it. Mine won't fit through my front door neither, but it really doesn't bother me. Actually if mine are still asleep when we get home, I have been known to sit outside or near the doorway with them, until they wake up.

Oh egg, I ate a lot of rubbish, believe me. I was living jsut outsiode croydon, a flat above London road which has all the multicultural area. I'd buy samosas on the school runs, and eat kebabs from the turkish shops for dinner!! I jsut got a real craving for fruit later on in the pg, def in the second half, not sure when.

nh101andhertwinbeans · 17/10/2007 16:09

tkband that's such a great idea! Thanks to everyone else who has posted too. A relaxing trip to Oxford might be just what I need, but I deffo agree a trip into London and sitting through a show will probably NOT be what I need! And SIL would definitely appreciate the excuse to stay behind with her baby (who she really doesn't want to leave behind)

And at least this way it doesn't look like I am being awkward saying I want them to cancel their special occasion.

Yep. Wish I had thought of that one . It's the obvious solution, AND you get to spend time with a small baby! Didn't think about the fact that sitting in a theatre would be a killer on the bottom by that point. You would be so uncomfortable...

Egg · 17/10/2007 17:03

Chopster, tis very true I don't have to get it through the front door, and basically even if it is peeing down outside I can take them out and fold it to get it in out of the rain, but was hoping to be able to get them in without waking them if by some miracle they are sleeping...

However, I would be willing to go for it anyway, except that I find that both times i have taken DS to have a look, I have tried him in it and it seems to be sloping so far back that he sits with his legs in the air and can't seem to sit upright. Do any of you with the Nipper have any advice on this? The lady in the shop told me it was completely upright as far as it would go. DS hated it...

tkband3 · 17/10/2007 17:41

I must admit it was the only problem as far as I was concerned with the nipper...once the DTs were old enough to sit up and not want to nap in the buggy the whole time, they found the bucket seats quite frustrating. I ended up buying another, cheaper, Mothercare buggy, which was nowhere near as user-friendly from my point of view, but the DTs loved it because they could sit upright and see the world go by. Then it got nicked off my doorstep and I miss it lots!

I think Chopster has a nipper now though and I'm sure she loves it - I'm sure she'll be along shortly to advise you!

MarsLady · 17/10/2007 17:54

Brilliant advice TK! sounds ideal.

Egg you'll be fine with your bfing. You've got GOOD support there.

Need to feed moany DTs may be back later!

jsut a quick ne, they are tilted back since that is what makes it so easy topush - all the weight is over the rear axle. Mine don't mind it, but I did have a single nipper with dd and I used to just put a cushion between the seat and the strap to shove her up a bit more.

I love my double nipper but dts are only 6 months so are lying back most of time and are also light are the moment

largeginandbloodpunch · 17/10/2007 19:46

Evenin ladies.

Poor you momma with the sick bubba, hope he is ok. Sure the dts will be ok, bf should protect them [hopeful emoticon]

The dts will be 9 in an hour, they were born at 841 and 843pm. I still havent told them who is the oldest, it will be my present to them when they are 18 How mean am i???

Im on the Vino Rouge, bad day involving grouchy baby and failed attempts at everything.

Egg · 17/10/2007 20:02

Oh momma . Poor you and poor DS. I misread it at first and thought it was one of the DTs who had been sick, which would have been preferable as babies are invariably puking without actually being ill, and baby sick is much less offensive.

Fingers crossed DTs don't get it, or you.

Going to parents tomorrow so probably offline for a couple of days, maybe til Sunday. Hope everyone is ok in the meantime .
