Nah!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loving it too much at the moment.

Those stereo moments with the DTs though..... they make me want to put the world on pause occasionally.

Had a fab night out dancing. Saw that IAMF filled the thread and didn't even start a new one

So here it is and if you don't like the title.... well it's almost 3 in the morning. What's a Mars to do?

Piximon I live in Exeter too!!

Big difference from London Nice people
<Em>
Lots of countryside near, everyone knows everyone although I still haven't worked out if that is good or bad I know the woman next to me is renting and she pays £400 a month for a three bedroom house, but it depends on your taste. High life? Or mine?!!!.Schools are great. if you want to know any of the not-so-great areas for renting ask me or Momma.
PLEASE COME!!!

Momma, she lives near Walter Daw school. Did you see the twins? DH has had a good old nosey already and no doubt he has given her the 'just stick to the routine' speech!!!

H.M. Aggrrhhhhhh

Hi all!!!

piximon · 16/10/2007 20:20

TripEm could you let me have some info on renting for cheap, want to save as many pennies for the new house as possible, so far cheapest rental I could come across was £800 so there's a big difference. I'm not toooooo fussed where I rent (am sure anything will be better than my drug ridden grotty council estate (and yet people love to buy here because it's 25mins train from the city, cheap and some Olympic events being held 10mins away, plus we have a DLR opening next year and Crossrail is coming oh god I'm going to miss London lol).

piximon · 16/10/2007 20:24

Oh and it'll be great to have some ready made friends for myself. I only know about three people in the real world (that includes Mars) so I think it'll do me good to have some friends esp mums.

TrickORTripletEm · 16/10/2007 20:25

Piximon, we are not too far away from the sea,but if you want to buy your dream house have you thought about Dawlish.
Oh and Sheldon is nice, very posh!! Our friend lives there(no actually I'm lying DH's boss lives there!!) and he has a house on the hill that over looks the sea!! I say!!

TrickORTripletEm · 16/10/2007 20:29

Sorry cross posted there Piximon!!

Yes I will look into it straight away, I live on a council estate but it is very nice. Most people have bought and we have big posh houses at the back so we pretend to be semi-snooty!!

Obviously you want unfurnished?

TrickORTripletEm · 16/10/2007 20:34

Have you checked out the rentals in our local paper?

Go to Thisisexeter.com and you'll see our paper The Express and Echo.

oooggs · 16/10/2007 20:34

I knew I could count on you lot to bring a smile to my face tonight! Had row with DH, busy day today, met my mum(shes 80) took her to town, bought flowers for the cemetery(Dad a/v) went to cemetery, brought her back here for lunch so she would not be on her own today. Sat pickling shallots whilst she sat drinking endless cups of tea and talked and talked and talked. Picked kids up from school, found my brother here, they both left at 5pm, managed to get one trio to come and do some project work for school,( three to be done on the Victorians, minimum of 15 pages of A4),made roast dinner, DH comes home from his gardening job, at 6.30pm as he has been having G&Ts with the old girl he works for, trio number 2 now doing homework and trio three practising spellings for tomorrow. Dinner served at 7pm, send trio up at 8pm, get out hoover as sitting room a tip, start ironing at 9pm as another load is waiting to come out of the tumble dryer, and HE says, "why are you doing this at this time of the night, its ridiculous, I am beginning to wonder what you do all day"! So I am afraid girls I lost the plot, pointed out that perhaps if I stopped doing everything thing I do for a whole week ,maybe, just maybe he might notice the difference! At 55 this is NOT funny or the way I thought it would be, aaghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! On top of this we have the 2nd appt at Lewisham on Thurs and I am so churned up with it all. Thank you for my daily fix, life would be unbearable without you all. Feel better for that

typical isn't it of men! DP was working from home yesterday. The dts soon caught on to the fact that he was Very Busy and I was in charge. SO they played up merry hell, and he saw jsut what I spend my day doing!

dd is STILL off school. I am sooo bored of being stuck int he house. And next week is half term

largeginandbloodpunch · 17/10/2007 08:09

Welcome nh101, it is so lovely and very special to be having twins. CONGRATULATIONS

Mine are 9 today I just cant believe it, they are so grown up and very sweet. Our house is awash with science experiments and spy kits, they are obsessed!

Pixi Devon is blimmin lovely, i lived in Plymouth for years and would love to go back one day. Excellent kids centered activities and some fabbo schools. Course the ready made friends are a bonus!

Am off to toddlers to speak to like minded nut jobs friends

chopster · 17/10/2007 08:11

don't they jsut grow up too quick.

rav is waffling soo much. Keeps getting it all wrong though..

rav: what you doing mummy?
me: making lunch
rav: what a pity!

I really hope he didn't mean that!

Leoladyofleisure · 17/10/2007 08:42

Hi chopster, its ages since I dropped in when you are around.
Ds1 is about the same age as your dts and I am really enjoying him growing up, but the dts, I just wanted them to stay tiny but they are already huge. Niklas (ds1) talks nonstop, its exhausting and he is going through the 'why?' thing at the moment which i am still finding quite funny . I am such a proud mum, he is really bilingual , it still amazes me as I still struggle with German and he at 2yrs somethign can flip between 2 languages. He is still much more in love with his daddy than with me , when I put him to bed last night I was asking him the best things about his day today (he was at nursery) and he said 'daddy coming home'.

Happy birthday to your dts LG.

NH101 congratulations on the pregnancy!!!!

Dts are deparately trying to crawl but still going backwards, its getting quite tiring fishing them out from under sofa and other places they get stuck if I turn my back for 2 mins.

DTs sleeping has got really bad again. Between us I think we got up 9 times last night. At around 3.30 I got fed up and they both ended up in bed with us but wouldn't settle so I put them back into their bed after about an hour and eventually they settled. They aren't waking up hungry, I can't find any real reason for them to wake up. I'm thinking about becoming nocturnal for a few days to try to spend my time at resettling them without stumbling around in a half alseep stupour. What do we do??? What is the best way to resettle them?

Leoladyofleisure · 17/10/2007 08:51

Triplets at what your dh said to you!!!!!! Sounds as if you should pack a bag over half term and go on holiday on your own!

BTW Egg, i am quit happy to chat to other twin mums or pregnant twin mums (have yet to be approached by a pregnant one), I just don't like my boys being treated like a freak show! Have yet to meet a triplets or more mum around here.

triplets · 17/10/2007 08:57

Happy Happy birthday to LG`S lovely twosome! xxxxx
All on my own for 10 mins, bliss!

TrickORTripletEm · 17/10/2007 09:05

L.G.A.B.P Happy belated birthday to your DT's, hope they had a wonderful day.

Triplets Aggrrrhhhh!!!!! when my DH got home from work when the dx3 were small, I used to ask him to do one little thing to help out(Probably pass me a wet wipe!!)and he would say "Oh for goodness sake I've been working all day,it's alright for you just sat at home"

EXCUSE ME?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

O.K so it's half term next week, lovely get to spend some quality time with the dx3(in my dreams!!)the builders have just come round today and said all the scaffolding will be going up next week and our new roof put on!! Noooooooooooooooooo!! My dx3 and scaffolding? Means we will all be stuck inside now with the mad puppy!! Sods law isn't it? Theres only so much you can do without a car and my dx3 hate walking anywhere and I am not spending loads of money just to keep them quiet(maybe just a bit!!)
on the other hand,it has been quite sunny here today so maybe they'll strip off and whilst I am stuck in I can admire the view from the window!!!! There's always a flip side!!!

chopster · 17/10/2007 09:25

ooh sorry leo, I missed out the today bit when reading, happy birthday to your dts!

at the thought of dts and scaffolding, sorry em! My dt2 would absolutely LOVE that. I don't think you were on here to hear the story of him jumping out of his bedroom window and falling down onto the driveway...

leo, have you tried, shussing and patting? I think sometimes they jsut wake and can't settle again, and get grouchy cos they are tired. I found it best not to pick them up at all, but would jsut sit with them for a bit and pat their back or whatever until they settled again. ds1 loved having his forehead stroked, they all differ. Then eventually they learned to settle themselves.

chopster · 17/10/2007 09:27

that reminds me, I must report back that removing the stairgates was a HUGE success. It rather surprised me. We had about a week of dt2 trying it on, but now (frantically touches wood) they go up and straight to sleep, which they didn't do before with the gates up, so it is lovely. It seems that since they don't have the gates to hang on and they know they have to stay in their room anyway they have nothing to do but go to sleep.

TrickORTripletEm · 17/10/2007 09:31

Blimey Chopster!! missed tht one!! Hope it had a happy ending.

My ds loves climbing...everything!! I have to have safety locks on his bedroom window or he'll be out in a shot. He's going to be one of those people who do really stupid stunts for a living,I can see it now...his own late night show on M.T.V!!!
I'm going to be a nervous wrek by the end of half term!! Why can I not get it through to him that hitting the floor from a great height hurts?!!!!!!!!
