Nah!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loving it too much at the moment.

Those stereo moments with the DTs though..... they make me want to put the world on pause occasionally.

Had a fab night out dancing. Saw that IAMF filled the thread and didn't even start a new one

So here it is and if you don't like the title.... well it's almost 3 in the morning. What's a Mars to do?

merlypuss - won't hurt to get it checked

triplets - good luck with all the tests, mum & dad are popping down to Deal this month and over the France of course

I am not realing enjoying parenting at the moment - ds1 is very trying and I have little patience (tiredness) and dts wake for no apparent reason in the night and daytime sleeping is a nightmare, there is always so much to do, mainly cos my standards are probably too high. Feel like I have been making baby food all day.

Sorry to moan and I know we are very lucky to have 3 healthy children but sometimes the pace gets me down especially on tuesday night when I spent more time out of bed (with all 3) than I did in it (11 times)

frumpystumpy · 10/10/2007 19:49

merly, you go back to the doctor as often as you like. You are carrying a heavy load and even if you only get sympathy, you'll feel like you did as much as you could. I didn't have swollen feet in my pregnancies but massive swollen feet after birth. I felt like the elephant man! FWIW, all women who have had children will have swollen somewhere on their bodies at some point. Stay strong. Pop in here anytime to vent it, a problem shared does help x.

Triplets, margaritas, lovely!!! Have a few and relax, I'll be thinking of you

LG&T, stay strong, love to you darling. The house will be there forever and a day. This is a moment, it will pass, stay under the duvet. Moan on here when you can xxxx.

pxi, it was exactly 18th birthdays I had in mind Really, I need to pull myself together, I even have the baby bath and top and tail bowl I bought when expecting dd1 - she's nearly seven.

I'm still hankering after another 1 (in 2/3 years from now if wishes could be ordered) but thats a secret.

inamuckingfuddle · 10/10/2007 20:27

merly get it checked out, it can do no harm, only good to see the doc - I'll set the stumpy one on you if you don't

evening all, DH bought me a bag of sweets and bacon crispies tonight - what a child I am

piximon · 10/10/2007 20:36

FG are you sure you couldn't be persuaded to take another 1 round about the end of March next year?

Where is Doris? I'm off to Teignmouth this Saturday and wanted to meet up with her. Oh I'm so looking forward to it NOT. Devon and back in one day, via the train, with either the DTs or the DTs and DS1. Lovely. Wouldn't have been so bad if we were staying over, but confined spaces and DT1 do not mix

Speaking of which DT1 is already such a handful I know she'll be ruling the roost by 18mths. She's the complete opposite of DT2 in every way (not that I'm comparing lol). She will not sit still for a minute, feeding is a minefield of trying to get the food in while her head is swivelling like the girl in the Exocist, even if she's the only one in the room. She won't sit on my lap without whining to get off, except when clawing at my face and she can't stand being cuddled or fussed over. Gosh I'm already missing the early days of having them on my lap for hours.

DD1 has decided that she only likes brothers and wants as little to do with DT1 as possible.

DH has gone to view a house tonight, got everything crossed that it's suitable.

Hi girls,
Back home much earlier than I expected! My two friends were almost asleep at the table and years younger than me! Still it was so good to escape if only for 3 hours. Tho one wonders if its worth it as the minute I got thru the door it was moan moan moan! As I expected the boys hasd played up big time and her ladyship had been cheeky too! Harry was in a right mood saying I dont have to put up with it like he does, that they take absolutely no notice of him what so ever! I had no intention of ruining my three hours out so simply said you have to deal with it. If Rebecca is watching american rubbish you turn it off, simple. If the boys are misbehaving you warn them then act, it is hard, ersp at our age but they cannot get the upper hand. His parting shot as he went to bed was "its ok for you, you dont get spoken to like I do". Well I am not arguing on that score, because one in particular is very very hard on his Dad, but they are so similar, both like dogs after a bone, I dont know. All I know is since they have been born I spend 95% of my time with them and Harry 50%, I do know how unfair and sometimes hurtful they can be. I dont understand it, we are I hope good people, good parents and yet today it doesnt seem to be enough. I jusy plod on, with the hope that some of what I say is going in, and that they turn out to be good , kind people. End of sermon! OOgs, are your parents staying in Deal? Im open for cream teas!

I adore calories! I've yet to find one I didn't like!

Merlypuss I wanted to say that in both my pregnancies and for the last 5 years I have suffered swolen ankles and legs, even on short spells of diuretics I get it. Doc says I have poor lymph drainage and not much I can do. I have found though that what does really make a diff esp in the first half of the day is to wear M&S medium support pop socks in bed and raise the end of my side of the bed slightly, I have a 2"block of wood, I wake up with wondrous slender ankles, but at the end of the day, like now they look awful, feel like Norah Batty, though you young things won`t remember her!
Trickortreat, even I felt proud of your children reading your thread, lovely, xxx

triplets · 10/10/2007 23:46

Mars, just thinking, you seem to be abit of a night bird like me, how nuch sleep do you get on average a night? I rarely go up before 12am, takes me about 30 mins to get to sleep because of wretched tinnitus, then usualy wake about three times, get up at 7am, even on holiday I follow much the same pattern.

Leoladyofleisure · 11/10/2007 09:09

OOOgs, I just wrote you a long sympathetic post and managed to delete it!!!!

Huge, huge sympathies. It sounds as if we are pretty much going through the same thing. I feel as if I am slowly drowning, I can deal with it when I'm not too tired but ohterwise.... Is there anyway you can get more sleep? Can dh take over a bit more for a night or 2 so you can catch up - invest in a pair of earplugs while he is doing his shift?
Do you know why the dts are waking up so often? Teething? Hungry? Mine drop their dummies and when they go through the light phase of sleep they wake up enough to realise. The last 3 days we have been weaning them off falling asleep with the dummies and feeding them a bit earlier so they don't fall asleep on me when I give them the bedtime feed.
Dou you get any time out on your own (my medicine is going for a run when I can after they have all gone to bed).

Hello everyone else. FG, yes you need a name change now you are not such a grumpy frump anymore.
