Work is work FG - just ticking over until I get my visa and can be off! POsted the application form off yesterday so fingers crossed I may have it back in a couple of weeks unless they want to ask me lots of questions!! Its nice as its a bit of a break from the DTs but its also tough as I'm not in charge of the team I used to be anymore, but still sit i the middle of them and its hard not to jump in and give my two pennorth!

Harrogatemum · 27/09/2007 09:00

Forgot to say - good luck for today Triplets xxxxxxx

MarsLady · 27/09/2007 09:19

Baby 3 born just past midnight. Home at 4.45am. Feeling fluey. Need to drop DTs off to playgroup then finish my essay. Will have to courier down to or up to or whatever Milton Keynes. Also my french!

I saw some lovely ones in River Island, not sure how practical they are for the school run though Wont stop me buying them of course.

FG your day sounded lovely, how heavenly. DH and i are rarely on our own, our first date was shopping at Sainsburys with Jonah and Hugo in the trolley I long for retirement so we can have a honeymoon and be on our own >

Am feeling very broody not. I quite fancy twins again, 9 years has dulled the full horror joy the early years.

TripletEm · 27/09/2007 11:26

Mommalove, I can't afford my boots either!!
Take it from me, treat yourself now. I thought babies were expensive, wait untill they hit school!! Spent nearly £90 just getting them school jumpersx3,book bagsx3 school P.E.bags x3 and that was before I brought shirts,skirts,trousers,shoes,vests,pants,socks,P.E. kit and swim kit and bag!!
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Triplets: you definately do not want to swap with me then!! I can only offer crayon painted walls and loose plaster!!

frumpygrumpy · 27/09/2007 11:48

Aw girls, we truly are a multiples thread Can't keep up!

After a lovely day yesterday I fell flat on my arse face today. Woke up very low. DTs driving me bonkers, they are so high with energy these days and on their nursery days (when they get tired out) they come home wailing and crying with exhaustion. We usually go to a gym class on a thursday but it was such a fight to get them to go the toilet, shoes on, jumpers and coats on etc that by the time I got them in the car I was so pissed off I had lost the will to go. DT2 wailed about not wanting to go, DT1 kicked hell out of the back of the drivers seat, I turned on the engine to find the petrol warning light on so we had to go for petrol. Got to the gym class late, no parking to be had, tried to get into a small space but the next car was squint and I couldn't fit. Other space was miles down the road so I gave up. DTs screamed all the way home. I came home, shoved them in different rooms and sat down for a cry. They are currently banging hell out of their doors. Its days like this make me wonder how I got to be such a shit parent. DD1 and me had such great fun when she was wee and I can't help wishing those days back.

I am not enjoying my life and there is not a damn thing I seem to be able to do to start enjoying it again.

OK. Rant done. Will put the kettle on.

frumpygrumpy · 27/09/2007 11:54

Its like pudding.....no matter how much you've eaten for main course, there is always a space for a little something else.....so I can still plump up my squishy mango size bosoms for you Mars. I'm not so worn out with the DTs that I don't have space for you. You rarely ask!

There. Peace, quiet and stillness. It fixes everything.

Thinking about you Triplets. (PMSL at the Peace triplets ).

largeginandtonic · 27/09/2007 11:54

passes FG some chocolate traybake to go with the tea >>

Poor you chick, dont worry tomorrow is another day. I am always amazed by the fact i have some days that seem to whizz by and relatively calmly and others where much the same things happen but im wishing for a G&T by 4 6 o clock.

frumpygrumpy · 27/09/2007 11:55

a batwing sweater Meeely

frumpygrumpy · 27/09/2007 17:00

Momma, thanks hen, lovely bosoms You're right, it does go like that. I feel I'm on the brink of something! It could be huge!! I wish I didn't feel responsible for their behaviour. I always feel "its me" when they behave like that. But, another day, another dollar. I love my gran and her phrases - she'd say... "we'll, you never died a winter yet" How's your babes Momma? And your DS? Are you getting enough sleep?

HM, a batwing jumper!!! I only had half a batwing (the bits under the arms weren't that big) and I adored it It had tight sleeves from the elbow down. Meeely, are you going to post some pictures??? gawan gawan, you know you want to gaaawaaaann

Right, the red is open, I'm sure dingdong will be right along.......

TripletEm · 27/09/2007 18:33

(Triplet Em enters and goes into a cold sweat as she realises large bosoms are about again, trys to do a little shimmy to impress the ladies but all that wobbles is her jelly belly)
Hi all!! I am having a rubbish day too Been up all night with DS who said he had a bad toothache, took him to the dentist who said it was just a mouth ulcer. Got back home and he threw up everywhere. Took him back to the Doctors and found out he has got a major ear infection in both ears!! So I have spent the rest of my day with him leaned over a bucket, well actually he uses his Halloween pumpkin trick or treat bucket!! Poor soul can't get any rest as the girls won't leave him alone and he dosen't want to go in his room, just escaped for five mins then back to playing nursey

piximon · 27/09/2007 19:02

Mars would it help if I volunteered Dh to take them to MK for you? I'm sure he'd do it for some of your LDC or a hot meal, he's been moaning about coming home to no dinner.

Triplets been thinking about you for the past few days, really hoping things went as well for you today as they could.

FG anything we can do to cheer you up? You've been like a rock over the past year with always a kind word or advice when needed.

It sounds silly but I've been worrying about having an odd number of DC in case someone ends up left out. I think I was also so worried in case I did end up with 4 under 16mths that I psyched myself up with all the positives so it was a shock to find out it was a singleton, lol. Although I can now exhale a huge sigh of relief (sorry pg multiple mums), I think 5 with the oldest being just turned 5 is enough.

Told a really good friend about being pg today (over text messages mind). She's due either a few days after (hospital date) or a few days before me (her date) so we're both feeling really excited now.

Spent past few days going through all the children's clothes we've amassed and been trying to pare them down. So far I've filled four bin bags worth that I'm prepared to part with (Mars will re-home for me), although some are still a struggle, the memories. Still have plenty for new baby and for the DTs to grow into though. Now I know how my mum felt when a teenage me went through all my childhood stuff and gave it away.

The DTs are almost 9mths now, how did it happen? The first few months were like being in a cupboard, actually the last few weeks before they came are a blur too. They are really easy going babies though, although they can't stand each other they adore everyone else. DT2 is a nuzzler, he likes nothing better then to get a piece of fabric (pyjamas, teddy) and rub over his chin while cooing to himself. DT1 always goes to bed with a big grin on her face and gazes up at me laughing. They're still all in bed asleep most nights by 6.30.
Ok, been typing this so long it's turned dark, better post it and catch up.

piximon · 27/09/2007 19:08

Meeely2 How about one of those big Wham t-shirts? Can remember them being very popular and they seem to be making a retro comeback.

inamuckingfuddle · 27/09/2007 19:13
